Elektronik Grimoire 0.1 online

Recommended Posts

<_< Aha, not much interest here. I was following the old saying of letting the music do the talking. But let me introduce myself.

I am producer/mucician from Stockholm, Sweden and I have been playing/producing music on and off since 1990. I am 29 years old and Elektronox is a psy-trance project.

I got into trance in 1993 when hearing Trilithon. Then Concept in Dance and Order Odonata 1 blew my brain more or less. But since I was a professional musician between 94-99 I did not have time to further my interests in electronic music. In 1999 I began building my Der Bunker studio here in Stockholm and I wanted to keep things basic.

Cheers and Bom Bom Mahadev!/Elektronox

"Derkeinox" - Interesting starting noises, maybe a bit noisy and distorted, but that's no prob for me. some good panning used on em... The kick has hell of a lot of oomph, but it fits the track... 1:30 - great dark melodies going, needs maybe a bit more bass as support, but some kickass layering there. 3:20 - w00t, great layering of the melodies, they work so well together. 5:35 - i realy dig that ultra reverb lead, its still bumping through my brain :) ... superb track!!

"Dark Haze" - Indeed very dark. Sounds hard and dark- interesting and quite unique, I really, really dig this. At 3:30 the starting LFO action is nice and rough, but I personally think you're doing a bit too long. All in all a nice Hard Dark Trance tune, I'm hearing tracks of this style way too rare :)

"Mantra Three" - I'm not sure about this one. I don't like the lead, it sounds so.. don't get me wrong... cheap. The other lead doesn't seem to be going anywhere, maybe have a look at the melody progression, it's a bit awful in my ears.. But then you got some nice acidlines going. And the sample fits perfectly. Production-wise, I can't find anything to complain about :)

All in all, I love your dark style, especially in Derkeinox (your best of the three), it's in a way very unique! Production quality is just good. Keep this great music coming :)

:) Thanks alot for the comments! :)

I am very glad to hear that you liked it and I appreciate your obviously initiated remarks.

Derkeinox- I suppose that I do like it hard and dark (at least at the present stage of production) and I like power and oomphin kicks :) Distorsion is something that I also greatly enjoy. Regarding the lack of bass I felt that the kick and the ultra low bass sound did the job, but I seem to have blasted my HD-25's so hehe, something might have happened in the mastering. I did also use the Monitors but I mainly did this one with the headphones...

Dark Haze- This track belongs to a group of tracks that I did some year ago or two. Regarding the length of periods in tracks I did the exact opposite in Derkeinox and used lots of breaks. Some people seem to dont like breaks and some seem to like'em. I generally do what feels good from track to track. Arrangements is really something that is important, I guess that I'll keep trying...

Mantra 3 - Well, I do definitely see your point, since you are expressing yourself in such a nice but also informative manner :) This is an older track that is part an even older group of tracks that I did more in the Old School vein. I included it since I wanted to reveal some breadth to my songs. Some people have liked this one and some not. :)

I must say that your comment was both very uplifting and enlightening! It makes me immensly glad that you see some originality in the songs.

I will definitely give your songs a listen and attempt to present some feedback :)
