You almost definately will not find anytying more Psy than some surfers smoking spliffs and listening to house or reggae. Enjoy the country (east coast is Araguam bay, Trincomalee, Nivalee is visited by few tourists except Surf Rastas and adventurous types. remote and very unspoiled.authentic). West and South coast (Hikkaduwa, Unawatuna) have more surfers and european resorts and package tourists. Good meditation retreats in/around Kandy. ENJOY! (altough it was a little late :-) I got back yesterday, indeed it is a really beautiful country didn't get to check out the east cost as they told me it was kind of bad season, but the west & south coast was good, visited hikkaduwa and unawatuna and your right about the surfer guys :-) had some beach parties, but was kinda more commercial techno and trance music... still it was actually rather ok kandy is very, very nice!! and also did colombo, the capital even did some partying there, there was one big outdoor party, but it was all kinda hip hop it is certainly worth visiting... your conclusion is quite right, paradise without psy trance :-) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
