Guest ad Posted July 27, 2002 Share Posted July 27, 2002 first, my bias - i live in melbourne second - melbourne's psy scene is much much bigger and better. bush parties almost every weekend, the big names come to melbourne and the community is massive (yet small!) melbourne is much cheaper to live in and easier to get around but of course doesn't have the beautiful harbour. however, it has better pubs and bars, better music and a more vibrabt and real character. see you soon Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Smaller city compared to Sydney, although Melbourne has a much nicer vibe and a thriving psy scene. More promoters down here are willing to bring big acts out, but we must not forget the local artist of Melbourne who absolutely know how to rock a crowd. The above parties mentioned are your bigger ones. There are many smaller and intimate parties happening week in and week out, set in pristine Victorian Bushland. Only set back would be the weather. Being as south as we are it can get pretty cold during the months of winter. Other then that, Melbourne has plenty of nice spots to hang and chill out. I am looking for some more fun gigs while I am there, both commercial parties and free bush doofs to play at. Anyone got any suggestions of ppl I should contact ?
