Guest phase418 Posted December 18, 2001 Share Posted December 18, 2001 ok, it's Phase2, reporting live from the internet cafe behind little Vagator beach, in Goa. This season seems a little slow, but it is finally picking up speed and guesthouses are filling up as tourists from the UK and Europe nare arriving via charter flights for the holidays. Parties with 200 - 300 people, and steadyily increasing each night, are kicking off every few nights at Disco Valley in Vagator and Bamboo forest in Anjuna. In the bar scene, the Nine Bar rocks every night until 10, and Primrose goes from 10-2. sometimes there is music till sunrise at other locations, sometimes not. The music is able to continue till well after 10pm, and it seems like the police are not taking such a hard line with the parties, and are letting things slide this year...so far... last night was a particuarly good DAT set by Doctor Vagator at the Primrose, playing a super psychedelicmix of this year's best tracks..logic bomb, GMS, huxflux, etc. the dancing trancer people (not the lager swilling pub crowd) were worked into an intensive fluro frenzy under the balacklights and painted palm trees. but it seemed like only about 20% of the people were dancing at all (mostly Japanese and indians), and most people were just there to smoke chillums, drink brews and chat. this is my first year in Goa, but I can intuitively sese that it has seen much better people and scene in years past. but, it is still a fun place to meet people from all over, and party.....and regardless...the MUSIC is eveolving and getting better as the years go by! bom shankar! phase418@hotmail.com Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

What a motley crew of psychedelic madness! A few hundred glowing, scared, tattoed, dreadlocked, smiling faces kicked it hard until about 10am..and seemed rather unable to leave after the music stopped. Guest KS Posted February 4, 2002 Share Posted February 4, 2002 cool reports phase.. yeah i heard about dr. vagator, he is supposed to be good. i also heard dj amrit from gms, and xp (aerodance) really kicked it in this year.. nyways good to hear that the scene goes strong... detractors, keep spreading bad rumors about goa, that way we can trip in piece.. please NO TOURISTS at parties, you guys spoil the vibe. i remeber being asked by some versace toting bombay kid at a party last year, when pulling a chu, if he could take a picture of us.....
