1. good thinking... how much variety does a person need, and also, how much variety can a person do (meaning Simon P. & co.)

but Ukiro, i don't use torrent.. so have to look elsewhere.. you had a mix on mandarin site long time ago if i remember correctly.. have to check my cd's.. but i'm sure, i knew your name before i joined psynews..

Ah yes - that was a direct download link from my site, which put quite a bit of load on it. I strongly suggest trying bittorrent; it's very handy for this sort of thing. The client software is free and there are plenty of non-pirate uses for it =)

  2. One is available via bittorrent through Basilisk's tracker, but it doesn't show up on the list so I don't know the exakt link... Basilisk?

It is pretty "mainstream" stuff with lots of dimension 5, etc. Morning trance, essentially.

  3. Your Blue Room collecting process seems very asymptotic to me. Remember to pay for a round when you're finally complete. ;)

Heh, there are some test press only records not listed on Discogs that I doubt I will ever find, but by now I ought to have the worlds most complete blue room collection, and with more items on their way in the mail... By the looks of it, all commercially released titles will be in my posession by the end of this year. Yay! Next on the list would be TIP and Matsuri...

This is what I got today:

    Various - Zep Tepi

    http://www.discogs.com/release/246726

    Another label completed!

  4. OK I'll go for some old goa (hey, what a surprise, coming from me) and see if I can focus on stuff that is not released on CD or totally impossible to find on CD, and also that would fit together somewhat:

    1. Har-Ell - Incarnation

    2. Sound Pollution - Where

    3. Underhead - Orojuna

    4. Climax Absolüte - Wokiksuye (OK there is a CD release, but it's bloody rare)

    5. Koxbox - Point Of No Return (Live At Burning Man)

    6. Etnica - Intense Visitation

    7. K.U.R.O. - Thunder Storm (in unmixed form on CD it appears only on his very rare album)

    8. Space Dimension - Further Away From Earth

    9. Psychogenetic Soundforce - Exeminon

The last track is a bit "techy" compared to the swirling stuff that precedes it, but it's such a corker that I can't leave it off the list =)

  5. Nasha!!!

I have only _one_ track, Chai Machine from White Rhino, but I looooove this, there are these deeeppp sarangis & stuff all over... This is still one of the few "eastern style" goa tracks that I like, usually the faux eastern scales just sound like shit :P

They have more trax on Cosmic Conspiracy, that 1997 comp... But that's so rare I won't even dream of  finding it anywhere ever :/

    499497

Don't worry, it's not the same Nasha:

    http://www.discogs.com/artist/Nasha+(2)

The White Rhino Nasha was a project by George Barker, Gus Til & Mad Sheer Khan.

  6. Totally stellar performance! Ultra-fast shipping, packaging that would withstand thermonuclear war and content riddled with goodies in the form of flyers and stickers. Absolutely, wholeheartedly and totally recommended!

  7. I got my records and all were in excellent condition, but it took several months between payment and the arrival of the records. It seems some unfortunate real-life circumstances may have been to blame, so I'm not willing to make judgement.

  8. ignoring all the drug references and insinuations here, this was todays batch along with two from a record fair this past weekend:

Har-El Prussky - Pagan Moon Child

    http://www.discogs.com/release/87904

2 Puissance 30 - Le Trou Normand EP

    http://www.discogs.com/release/449914

I thought I'd NEVER find this baby... Step 2 House CD singles are absurdly limited, and this was SEALED!

Björk - Possibly Maybe (Part 3)

    http://www.discogs.com/release/28723

Haven't added anything to the Björk collection in many months, but this was too cheap to pass up on

    Sunkings - Soul Sleeping

    http://www.discogs.com/release/55808

    Blue Room completion draws nearer...

    R.N.D. Technologies - Phases

    http://www.discogs.com/release/93494

    ...and nearer...

Orichalcum & Deviant, The - Orichalcum & The Deviant

    http://www.discogs.com/release/153755

    And so does TIP

    Evoken - Antithesis Of Light

    http://www.discogs.com/release/470952

Doom/black metal with a sleeve painted by the artist who also painted my avatar =) I doubt these blokes asked for permission though.

  9. Apart from the old 4-man era of Etnica / Pleiadians, my all-time favourite goa trance act is Underhead. They just released 7 tracks (well, 8 with the one released as EA 1729 in 1995) but they're all AWESOME!

    Other obscure favourites:

Space Dimension (Also "Space Demon" and "Invaders")

    Totally fucking awesome acid darkness

    Section X

More hardtrance really, but still way trippier than most goa acts

    Universal Island

Dark and hypnotic project on the POF label... "Dark Moon" is an all-time favourite

    Deflo

Cool production and with a unique "riot" feel to it... punky!

    Factor

Ololiuqui side project that released two very nice Tunnel 12"s

...and regarding Encens, the best track by far is Infinite Image =)

  10. 24's pretty good though

    whats your favorite?

mine would have to be psyko disko, hacking reality myth, supermindway

    495303

    Some of my favourites are:

    Psyko Disko - Psycho Disco

    http://www.discogs.com/release/140786

Reflecta - Creatures / Itchy Witches Of Androgenetico

    http://www.discogs.com/release/106800

Various - Psy-Harmonics Vol. 3 - Hacking The Reality Myth

    http://www.discogs.com/release/234726

    Ollie Olsen - Emptiness

    http://www.discogs.com/release/184789

    Shaolin Wooden Men - Supermindway

    http://www.discogs.com/release/43055

    Various - Experience - Psy-Harmonics Volume 5

    http://www.discogs.com/release/150829

  11. I only have 15 :( , that rip van hippy album is REALLY GOOD and still trying to get "When Bernie Was A Tree", also trying to get more psy harmonics releases…

mind helping me out ;) work some deal?

    495407

I don't have any duplicates I'm afraid. But perhaps you should check out their site, they are super nice to deal with, and always send you stickers and stuff with each parcel. They still have some very nice stuff in stock...

  12. and as ukiro put it they havn't lasted for 13 years for nothing.

does this make them the longest running label????????????????

    495265

Phantasm also started in 1993, and are still alive. However, they released NOTHING during 2002 and were thought to be dead... Dragonfly also started in 1993, slightly before Phantasm even, and are sort of alive, although from what I understand Dragonfly is pretty much put on ice. Sublabel LSD seems to do a bit better though.

But if you judge musical vitality, Psy-Harmonics has outdone both of those a hundred times over. Long Live Psy-Harmonics! I have 24 of their releases, but that's too few =)

  13. I wouldn't think so, but wait for Ukiro :)

    He knows ;)

    495088

Acutally, I don't have a clue what this might be about. As far as I know, Psy-Harmonics haev no hidden agenda or dark past. I don't think they'd have survived for 13 years if they fucked artists over, either. It's a top class label.
