    why imitate what the others do?

    a very easy way of learning how to program sounds is listening to your favorite track and try to reproduce some of the sounds u like. it might sound very boring and i would never go as far as releasing any of the stuff i try to reproduce, but it's a great way of learning how to program different types of sounds... this way, u will always have your own personal touch to the sound as u didn't just use a preset patch..

    yes same opinion here .

    I like to make stuff like astral , mfg and etc. , and i also use some sounds that sound almost their stuff but my technique is different , so your style is always on the song you compose , not on the sounds you use. :)

    well, the first thing Mars is thinking about is putting psynews back up... and well, if you have any good songs you think that would fit on a new school goa compilation... Send me a pee-m (a personal message via this forum) ;) Because I and mars have started our own label concentrating on the more melodic/morning side of trance ;)

     

    and a contest is a good idea of course, but the chances of releasing it again are very small... (maybe you know what happened with the second contest)

    So my conclusion: well, like I said, I was expecting this (and I think most of you did too), this is a bunch of mediocre full-on versions of prefect oldschool tracks. Who'd want that? Well, apparently the fans and modern day psytrancers... maybe I'm getting too old for this stuff?

    Exceptions from the rule: 4, 5, 7 (!!), 10 (!!) so I guess 4 good remixes still is better than I anticipated (I thought they would ALL suck when hearing about projects of having an album full of AP remixes by full-on artists). So I give this a 7/10.

    HOWEVER if you're new to psytrance and don't have the original AP albums, PLEASE PLEASE buy their older stuff instead!! (especially Trust in Trance and Dancing Galaxy) Believe me, it will be money better spent.

    but you´d probaly be , the artist remix names says everything.

    This album will probably ruin every good work of Astral projection to me. :(

    WOW! This is perfect work! Clear sound, fast beat and very cool oldskool atmosphere ... the synth solo at about 5:20 sounds cool and even playful ... impressive! I bet you had fun to create that track!

    When will you release a full album? It donot have to be a "original"-album, maybe a MP3-album? Now you may not misunderstand me, I will buy your stuff if it is ever being released, trust me, I will.

    Sure if nobody´s interessed on my stuff i will release it on my Netlabel . ;)

    Money is nice since it will help me to pay my stuff and help my family at home.
