  1. Havent offended me Lemmi. Its not even to do with opinions, its personal preferences. You prefer to have drugs at a party. Hey I did too, but i didnt need them to have a good time. Unfortunately my body cant handle drugs anymore, so i had to give them up. And im still having a great time at psy parties.

hard trance parties on teh other hand.... well I have to drink lots to enjoy those.

  2. Well, I am completely sober myself so it can be annoying when people are drunk, come and talk to you 50 times altough you told them to go away 49 times already... or when they are crawling of the dancefloor... And don't get me wrong, that's also for people that take too much mdma or something... it's always the same... You have 2 kind of people, people that can handle drugs/alcohol and the opposit... Well, I had to many probs with the opposit in the mean time ;) When you can handle it that's great, and then there is no problem :)

ps: I don't think we have an alcohol problem here on our parties, I have never seen so much drunk people as in Sweden this summer :P

People on pills can be just as annoying.

  3. And I am against drugs on parties! Really, why would you be against alcohol? I always drink at parties and I have always done. At most Swedish / Danish parties there has always been a lot of drinking going on, but that didnt make the parties more boring, or violent. The people that are annoying on parties that drink alcohol are mostly the ones that should not be there anyways (like people that never been to a party and just passed by).

Thing is that in the BeNeLux I have heard the same statement from so many people, and I think that is because PsyParties are seen as just ANY rave, and therefor you have people being disturbing coming there....

Well, I am for ANYTHING at ANY party, because I believe in the freedom of choise.

Agreed. It's the type of person they are not the alcohol they are drinking that causes the problem.

I always drink at parties and never been in any fights or anything. I may dance like a dickhead but that doesnt offend anyone does it?

  4. well in my opinion psy trance is a great kind of music, but to mix it its a piece of piss, there isnt a solid beat so even if you mix it wrong and not in time, it will still sound wierd and warped like it is sposed to. You cant really beatmatch with it so how can anyone be a really brilliant Dj with that kind of music...I spose if you used samples that may sound clever...which brings me to skazi...good music ...good samples, maybe a bit mainstream and less floaty but it still kick ass the way its mixed becuse its hard bassline you can actually appreciate the mixing..thats if your musically inclined to appreciate that?

Techno is alot harder to mix and beatmatch, and therefore has a lot more skill and precision involved even though it may just sound like dumf,dumf,dumf,tss.dumf..

It needs to be mixed right to sound good, and alot more timing needed..trust me i know

I think you should have a listen to some more psy mixes. You must have heard some pretty crappy psy djs, your perception is a bit wrong.

  5. i disagree completely. firstly house/club/shit music is mixed using 2 turntables and a mixer. psytrance "performers" use much more. and they dont use gimmicky turntable trickery like hardhouse djs would because it doesnt sound right doing that with psytrance. the mixing style is completly different, but mixing psy requires 10x more skill than mixing hardhouse or hard trance or something like that. for instance, even when phil reynolds or lisa lashes or whoever mix their tune in, you can hear when she is brining the new tune in. with psytrance dj's, YOU DO NOT NOTICE THE TRANSITION. that is f**king difficult and that is what a good mix is. psytrance djs are in a whole differnent league to hardhouse djs's. get your facts straight mate.

im starting to get the feeling you dont know much about any other style of dance music besides psytrance.

The guy was talking about house/prog/tech. And you are crapping on about hard house and hard trance djs. Completely different mate. You obviously havent seen a skillfull techno or progressive dj. Check out Jeff Mills, Carl Cox, John Digweed and Anthony Pappa. They have skills. (whether u like the style of music or not)

I will agree that psytrance is hard to mix, definately harder than hard house/trance.

  6. There's alot of music I like now but wouldnt have liked a few years ago.

One of the reasons is Ive learnt to keep an open mind. I find the more I listen to a certain genre, the quicker I can grow to love a track or album of that genre.

For example the past year or so Ive mostly listened to psytrance... so now I can grab an album, listen to it, and decide whether I like it or not in the first or second listen.

It can also depend on what mood Im in too though. Sometimes I can listen to Spirallianz and Midi Miliz and sometimes I cant.

  7. Im in the same situation Halee.

My friends are hard to get to psytrance events.

Going to a psy party on my own tommorow. It's to raise money for Tsunami victims and I havent donated yet... perfect chance I think.
