    Just picked up DIGICULT-OUT OF THIS WORLD,

     

    I must say that I am not familiar with his earlier work, and I wasnt even going to buy this album until I listened to the samples and I was surprisingly shocked. Great melodies driven with powerful momentum and a good solid tempo. Most would just say another full on release, but to me this really sounds nice.

     

    And picked up my second copy Of Vishnudatas Dream Force. I used to cut out all digipaks with a scissors so that they could fit into my cd cases, but now I am saving all of my digipaks and jewel cases so I have to buy quite a few releases once again.

    I think the scene is still going strong if you arent so interested in the large outdoor parties but more in the small parties of a couple dozen to a few hundred people. Yoyogi park and Arakawa river often have these. The energy and vibe you get from people that just really enjoy the music is an awesome feeling. In fact this weekend for Ohanami, I know three psytrance events happening in Yoyogi.

    Really, I thought that people were not allowed to throw parties in Yoyogi anymore.( I always see people singing or playing an instrument solo when I go there). I went to a trance gathering years ago, and then one of my friends told me that we were not allowed to throw our own party, which we were trying to do (at Yoyogi).     Thats good news, are there any websites or links that you can provide? I enjoy smaller intimate parties more as well. The real music lovers attend those. I am excited about the upcoming Nagisa music festival in Tokyo. Its the first party that has actually interested me to attend in the last 6 months.

    What the fuck does that have to do with Japans psy scene? I can speak Japanese well enough to hold a conversation, hell my wife is Japanese. Lets stick to the topic at hand. ;)

    What a beutiful compilation, Two unique and unforgettable journies packaged together. Just bought this 4 days ago and have already listened to both discs all the way through 5 times each

    :lol: no actually I didnt to make it less obvious, if someone stumbled into 2 cds of psy together and out of place they might catch on, but separate, now thats another approach :D

    Which shop did you find them in?

    To be honest, Im not sure of the name, its in Yokosuka so its not a big name store, all I know is its on the 6th floor of the moores city mall at Yoksuka chuo. I will have to go back and have a really close look one more time. That cd must have been sitting in there for years only to be possibly bought after hiding it, I think I hid it from myself to. :rolleyes:

    Picked up the Astral Projection-In The Mix, but Etnica-Alien Protein was nowhere to be found, even when I hid it :unsure: maybe someone else ran across it and snagged it (Abasio) :P or maybe I misplaced it myself.

    I also think that Outer is more of an aquired taste than Inner, which has more immediate appeal. I really didn't know what to make of it when I first got it.

    The funny thing is Outer immediately appealed to me, while Inner took a few times of listening to get into to. I guess I just have an ear for good music right off the get go. :P

    Which store did you find em in? :lol: Now if you are smart you will sell them back to me for double the price :wank: :P

    They're very different from each other but very enjoyable. So ... enjoy :clapping:

    Both albums are incredible, and very different so that comparing them may be meaningless.

     

    They maybe different, but comparing them should be understandable considering they are both from the same artist. ;)

    Thanks everyone for the enlightment, no seriousely. Looks like I will be buying Etnica-Alien Protein, & Astral Projection-In The Mix. I hid them in the store, so hopefully noone finds them before this weeknd when will I have a chance to purchase them. ;)

    Just trying to bring this review back up to the top before is dissapears onto another page of psyreviews. Everyone was bitching and moaning about me not doing a proper review, and then I spend my precious time doing one and no praise. I want some props dammit. :lol::) :wank: :rolleyes::P

    I own both releases but bought the newer one first. I love both but for me Waves from Outer Space is more of my taste, even though it is all over the place like last years release, it tends to flow a tidbit smoother, and is easier to swallow. The newer release gets a bit hectic for me trying to listen to it all the way through. The older release is great for home listening as well as at a party. The newer one is imo geared more towards the party experience. Both great, just curoius of others opinions.

    If not all then what would be the best choice? I have none of these older releases, but have found them in a store near where I live. Which is a must. I know that Astral Projection are some of the pioneers of Goa.

    Nice company you got there at your parties, mate :rolleyes:

    Well of course the majority of people are nice down to earth souls, its just the few really bad apples that ruin the scene for me. When under the influence of any type of drug seeing something like that can ruin your high, it can even bother you deeply as the drugs intensify any feelings.
