  1. I seriously doubt its his daughter, cause hes a black man from america, so i figure his daughter is a black woman from america, and the voice in the track sounds like a white woman from england.

Actually Samuel L. Jackson is originally from a small fishing town in Sweden. I think his birth name was Ingvar.

  2. I will be very critical and directly ask them why they decide not to pay some artist and pay too much to other artists, why they do not pay some artists travel expenses, why they put danceable artists on the chillout, why they treat less known artists with arrogance and sometimes direct rudeness etc. ect.

So are these going to be sort of "Have you stopped beating your wife?" questions?

  3. np: Highpersonic Whomen - Piece Of Cake "Alternative Energysource" Cd

Label is/was Thirteen Productions, but looks as if it went "tits up"!

What makes you think that? They just added new albums to their webshop a few weeks ago and you should be able to get the Highpersonic Whomen CD there too. I haven't ordered anything from there myself, but it looks operational to me. Though I don't think they've released any new releases of their own in quite a while.

  4. Delirious answered for me preety nicely i think.Hallucinogen,Man With No Name,Koxbox,Transwave,Juno Reactor and the rest have passed the test of time with great success while most of the other names mentioned like Penta,Kindzandza,Menog and the rest are names no more than 4-5 years in the scene,i mean you cant consider as a classic the Pentafiles album by Penta that was released something like 2-3 years ago.Hope you get my point.

Also being in the scene for many years doesnt make you a classic producer either,i mean yes i do aggree that Texas Faggot are many many years in the scene but their music is known to few people (comparing to the classic producers mentioned earlier like Juno and Simon) and actually its a very controversial music even for the psy trance fans,i mean some people dont consider this music as psy trance therefore many of you name it finnish psytrance or suomi or whatever.Innovative and Original and Controversial yes but classic for sure no,only for its hardcore fans i guess.I mean Koxbox and Total Eclipse are respected and loved by the whole psy trance spectrum fans (or the biggest part of it) while Texas Faggott for sure are not.I mean i even dare to say that Texas Faggott case looks like Skazi case,i mean Skazi introduced something new to the scene with his hardcore trance sound and he even has thousands of hardcore fans around the world but can you really call him classic? For sure not since he isnt widely accepted in the trance scene, actually he has as many hardcore fans as sworn enemies hehe.

I also love Vibrasphere and Juvenile and i think that they both offered something new to the scene but i really cant call them classic artists.

Try to leave your personal preferences aside and dont think what is classic for you but what is classic for the majority of the listeners out there.

So it's down to the lowest common denominator then.

  5. Hell yeah! This list blew me away! Finally some more sneaky freaky funky weird psychedelic stuff :) Last years' Finnish releases were not too good imo...

I have to agree. Very poor year for finn trance. The releases I heard were "OK" at best. A new EvsY album would really hit the spot.

  6. I'm surprised as well that this hasn't gotten more attention considering how much people on this site are going on about how much they love the more melodic goa sound. Well... here is a release in that style AND manages to sound fresh and unique. So what are you waiting for?

There have been quite a few acts that have popped up recently with the old goa sound, but most of them have sounded quite uninspired to my ears, not really creating anything new. Not the case with Torakka though. Now, I may not one of the biggest fans of the old school sound, but you can't help but notice the sheer talent behind this release. There doesn't seem to be a note out of place, everything just flows smoothly (none of the "let's fiddle with these knobs and see what happens" stuff that's present in most psy nowadays). This isn't just some dancefloor fodder for the djs... this is music.
