  1. haha, i wasn't sure about that either, so I removed it, even though I know it's hard to describe the type of leads that are in goa trance to producers that don't actually make them "got any better suggestions", lol In any case that was a cool video you shared, thanks for sharing, never heard of that synth. I always liked a few tracks fro Dragon Twins.
  2. I don't know about that, it's just the kind of music I like and the kind of presets I like making. I could have named it something like Goa Trance Leads for Hive, but wasn't sure how popular a genre of goa trance is, especially for the preset market. Luckily, a lot of goa trance is about the melody so the presets can be used for a lot of genres and its important to market them that way I think. I think Goa Trance is still a pretty obscure genre, in a good way! So, no worries there, lol! Cool, thanks for sharing about mindsphere, I like hearing about artist I haven't heard from yet. Cheers
  3. Hive is also a good choice, especially with the right presets (or roll your own! https://youtu.be/8y18g1y3Lpo http://www.touch-the-universe.com/Hive-Soundset/hive.html
  4. Hey guys, just wanted to share an original composition, "Autumn Reveries", with you guys, using a preset from the soundset. Another video will be soon where I cycle through the keys. Then I save the best for last, the pad and atmosphere's video. Cheers
  5. Hey guys, would like to share a tutorial with you. I create a drum track from scratch using the drum presets from the serene horizon soundset for the diversion vsti inside studio one. The drum style can be used in anything from edm, goa, psy, anything with a 4x4 beat really.
  6. Even though its not a hardware, if you ever looking for soft synths for some tones perfect for goa trance -- try the diversion vsti. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmJaQ9CRIZc I just posted this in another thread but it really is quite related I think. Cheers
  7. What's up everyone, I'm quite happy to share a really awesome video this time with you guys. I play a bunch of really rad goa trance melodies and cycle through all of the presets while tweaking the master morph pad to make it really come alive. I play a quite a few really lovely and tasty goa riffs for each of the presets to get a more thorough feel on how they sound and behave with different source melodies. Am quite excited and happy to share and can't wait to hear what you guys think of the video! Watch in HD to properly view the preset text, please. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmJaQ9CRIZc Much Respect, Touch The Universe Productions, Timothy Ivory
  8. Okay guys, after quite a long road, I'm very excited to announce that the soundbank is being officially released  Here is the url : http://www.touch-the-universe.com/diversion-soundbank.html
  9. The release of the soundbank and the website will be very, very soon. If everything goes smoothly, it will be released within 24 hours In the meantime I can share that it will have over 270+ patches, and will cost 22$. Since this is the first bank released under Touch The Universe Productions, I wanted to make it special and include a lot of content and value for the price (nearly double the amount of a full bank). In a short while, I'll add a link to my website for the Serene Horizon page that will include a paypal check-out option. Cheers! Were you refering to Skyward Dreams Goa Trance demo? That is a very rough mix, I will finish that track up properly to give a better showcase sometime soon. Glad you liked it!
  10. What's up guys. If anyone of you love the Diversion synth, I thought I'd share some info about a new bank coming soon, to you. It's designed for Goa-Psy-Progressive and Psybient genres. It has some really beautiful Atmospheric Ambient type patches and other pads, as well as some next gen leads for goa and psy. It is also able to made some really nice psy basses as well. That said, it's also possible to import wave samples which I took full advantage of. Expect some omnisphere or Alchemy sounding pads because of this. There are also some good vocals patches as well. There will be around 200 patches.
  11. Hey guys, I just wanted to share a little technique I discovered to save a massive amount of cpu while using diversion. It has it's benefits and obvious drawbacks, but I think the benefit of using Diversion to its full potential ( which most often isn't possible ) is worth it. I mean, try using full unison and stereo spread while holding down 8 sustained notes, sounds really great but isn't practical when fitting into a track and doing sound design. If you follow along you will see a method to save cpu of up to 90% on a patch -- sorry, I don't have a microphone (fair warning :hihi: ). I used the stream to wave function directly into an oscillator. The trick is to record a single note with as much detune as you want, then turn it off once you stream the single note into an oscillator. Which you can then play chords with, add more effects and modulations, etc. You could also record playing a full stack chord of 8 notes etc and insert into an osc to save even more cpu, but you'd have to then just play a singe a midi note to get the same effect. Another trick, if you find yourself creating a patch and it starts to stutter and you want to use this method, just remember to disable any filters, fx, arp or gates before you stream into an oscillator, or you will find that the sound isn't the same. Also pay attention to any pitch related settings like keytrack, and octave settings, which you'll need to disable if you want the sound to be the same if you stream directly into the same oscillator. If you have really high res settings and you stream the same oscillator back into itself without disabling the filter, you would then have twice the resonance - which probably won't sound good and might be dangerous even Cheers!
  12. Thank you! Yes, indeed -- hehe, I ran out of time for the competition so had to upload as is...
  13. Hey everyone! I got a pretty interesting song I made that I'd like to share with you all. It's about 3 songs in one where the first 10 minute are a slower psybient style kinda track and the rest picks off more uptempo with the traditional kick and bass structure of edm. Why 3 in 1, well it was all entirely made with 1 vsti synth, mpowersynth by melda. All drums, bass, leads, pads, etc from one synth. I just through everything I made into one track. Hope you guys like it and interesting in hearing your feeback. Cheers
  14. Got a new one from yours truly that I'd like to share. Made in Orion using all native fx and entirely with the freeOxe Fm synth. Quite a nice freebie  It was made in a few days and mixed on headphones mostly and could use some mastering/re-mixing at bits, nonetheless, I hope you enjoy and feedback welcome.
  15. Hey guys, my latest. Created entirely with Mux as part of the kvr one synth challenge. 3 days time, mixed onheadphones entirely, so if you have a good pair I'd suggest using them
  16. Hey gang! I have a new track that I'd like to share with you and hear your thoughts. I went with a psybient piece this time to deviate away from the standard 4x4 I usually work in. It's nice one in a while. It's a really happy yet still nicely emotional track. Cheers
  17. How's it going everyone Today I bring you a work in progress progressive psy-trance with elements of old school and neo goa. Skyward Dreams is made entirely with the free Charlatan vsti, including all drums. No samples were used. That is why its still a work in progress. I'd be pleased to hear how you think of it (so far).
  18. Thanks a lot Rotwang and Kitrinos, makes me happy to hear. Leave me some links and I'll listen and follow you guys on SC if I like the sounds. Cheers
  19. If anyone wants to share a similar track, I can listen and leave comments on soundcloud and follow (if it's good). Cheers
  20. I just wanted to add that the track was created in about 3 days with 20 hours of work. Usually, I'm need at least a month or two to finish something up properly. Also, it was entirely made with one synth GP-8X with all free effects Cheers
  21. Here's my latest track. It is a blend of Goa Trance and Classical Music Let me know what you think
