SEKRETLAB RECORDS presents: Organix was found early 2006 by two friends : Pim aka Rebel and Daan aka Ix. After some years of playing together in a band they got more attention for electronic music. After a heavy new years eve of dancing to some of the best progressive psy tunes around they decided to start a project aswell. In the first few months it was just experimenting, but soon the project "Organix" was born. The tunes got picked up by some locals in Amsterdam such as Pedro Martins (Snikers), who helped them perfect the sound. Sekretlab Records, presents their first album. Photosynthesis is the perfect track list for a summer afternoon, full of wonderfull atmospheric soundscapes blended some strong floating grooves. Tested on various dance floors from Europe to Brazil, this cd is a must for any progressive dj set ! PHOTOSYNTHESIS is now available on : Track It Down and soon on the usual cd shops !

l Sekretlab Records is the new upcoming label from Amsterdam, Holland. The style is mainly progressive-psy and based on clean and intelligent compositions. Founded on 2003 as music community where artists from all over the world could post their tracks, this project has developed and is nonw compromised to release some of the best upcoming talents together with some of the best and established artists. The label's first release will be the album of Organix ''Photosynthesis". Daan van Hamersveld & Pim van Horssen are the responsibles for this project started at the begining of 2006. After a few months of work they were playing their first live set and since then their sound never stop developing. Photosynthesis is the result of all these months of work and reveals a mature and defined "sound-line" by this duo. The production techniques are excelents and the arrangements are very clean & intelligent. Its all about progressive-psy, sometimes you can call it "slow motion psytrance" !! 1)What programs you use, and any hardware instruments, midi controllers, etc (PC Specs too)? for now i'm working with this: iBook G4 (1.07 Ghz) with 768 MB DDR SDRAM - - - "(i really need to get double processor G5 with Logic Pro7)" Logic Express Evolution Midi Keyboard Audio Units Instruments (my favourites): Battery 2 Reaktor 5 Absynth 3 Konatkt 2 Pro 53 Komapkt Albino 2 Octopus Rapture Korg Legacy Pack and all Logic Instruments among others. Fx / Sound processors are: Waves Diamond Pack Pluggo Pack Izotope - Ozone & Spectral Elemental Audio (Eqium, i love it !!) PSP Plug Ins Pack Sonalksis Pack SSL - LMC 1 and some other ones. No studio monitors , only my Beyerdynamic Headphones but someone is offering me the Alesis MK2 Active monitors (and i thank him very much !!! ) 2) On average, how long does it take you to build and finish a Song? It depends, sometimes 2 or 3 weeks and other times a few days (3 to 4). Mostly its all about the feeling. 3) Which parts do you find tedious when building your track (if any), if it pattern sequencing, automation, etc? I think automation sometimes can be tedious but still needs to be done, specialywhen the desired results are achieved. 4) Where did the inspiration come from to start producing music? When i first met electronic music, but after a short time i was dj'ing and during years i forgot about my first intention.. two years ago i finally got a new computer and started to produce. Worked with Floops, Reason, Cubase, Live, Pro-tools..but my personal choice still goes for Logic. 5) AND Your favourite style to produce? Psychedelic, doesn't have to be necessarily full-on. I also like to do experimental music, kind of electronic-ambient ...
