Aes Dana, Solar Fields, and Carbon Based Lifeforms never use any "ethno samples," at least from what I've heard. It's all just electronic sounds - it feels really alien, with no connection to reality (which is good). Aes Dana particularly feels like psytrance but at a slower pace.

I've been listening to HBR1's internet radio for years, either their trance station or ambient. I like how they play DJ mixes as opposed to single tracks -- the transitions are much smoother. I checked their website today and it gives a "URL does not exist" error. But strangely, their radio stations are still playing from the addresses I have saved: http://radio.hbr1.com:19800/ambient.ogg http://radio.hbr1.com:19800/trance.ogg Does anybody know what's going on? I hope they don't close down.
