the first asura album is very special,
the combination of chillout melodies and a bassline that is so but so hard and so deep,
it just touches your soul, never believed it that it was possible to create such a concept until I heard their first album,
too bad the second and after aren't that direction anymore and imo a bit moby style,
which is not a huge problem cause moby makes good music, but If I want to listen to moby then I just put on moby

my imo is you have good people and bad people everywhere, goa or not goa,I also used to listen to trance before I knew goa. But I still like trance, for me it's a very good alternative to psy because I really like melodies. I also still go to regular trance parties, the crowd is by far not as bad as people here say (well, also the crowd at psyparties is not as bad where I live as people here say all the time). Maybe I'm just lucky...
I have to admit one track I'll never forget,
you gottta help me out, I don't know the full data but certain you will know it
it's called svenson and stephenson - rebirth
something in that area, I'll never forget how that track rocked my world,
so emotional crystal clear sounds, it was a revelation that electronic music could be so deep,
that track openened my eyes and made me believe there was still a long way of discovery to go,
well I'm 24 now, so it's like 12 years agoo,
so goa was still also searching his way in development,
glad I find it but I'll never turn back or look down to my first tapes that I played a thousand times,
eurotrance parties I can't do, they are only in clubs, very expensive, dresscode and stuff,
not my style and to be honest not the money either
4 euro for a glass of water is a bit, well way over my budget

I don't know the name but the yahel song with the scottisch or keltisch instruments,
hilarious, hearing this on acid on a party is almost suicide,
pretty good joke without using a single word imo

for me music is feeling, and I feel it's ok doesn't matter if it's commercial, cool, not cool, goa or not goa,
and I have to admit some eurotrance tracks sound pretty good,
I used to listen to bonzai too before goa entered my world,

my idea is not that new styles are appearing but the already existing styles are smoothly coming togehter,what do you think will be the next big genre in the psy-scene?
I mean we went thru minimal and the full on sound witch is still very much alive,and now is this aggresive brutal yet psychedelic trance that dominates the scene,so what do you think the next big genre will be?any predictions?

progressive has become more melodic, sometimes clubby
the old skool now released has got harder basslines then comparing to the earlier days (check filteria)
dark psytrance use fullon elements is like the rolling basslines and is not anymore only typical forest music but can be very uplifting too,
I believe the end will not be more styles but just

based on taste off course and all the categories will softly fade away

yahel has imo created the most emotional psychedelic trance ever back in the days,
check his older albums, not the new ones,
emuna is emotional too, but it's a bit trancy, but that's the problem with emotional it sounds often more trancy comparing to other goa,
I think the first dimension 5 album has got some emotional tracks, well imo
man with no name - vavoom, that's emotional,
the typical moring trance stuff is mostly emotional like california sunshine (the track rain for example with the crying whales in the beginning)
the third track of the mystica album is very emotional too but it's downtempo not uplifting,
on chi - ad virtual spirit there are some pretty emotional tracks but mostly those are the more slower tracks,
the muses rapt - spiritual healing is filled with emotonial tracks
hilight tribe - free tibet I experencie as an emotional track
infected mushroom has off course created some well done emotional track certainly at the end of BP empire and the first track,
well that popped into my mind right now, hope I helped a bit

OOOD is a part of the old skool period and made some pretty good music,
I like it

indeed and they added some new tracks that are pretty awesome,
different from their style in 1998, more psychedelic trance then goatrance
but still very uplifting and melodic,
the atmosphere is more creepy but lovely creepy,
sentences of heaven is an amazing track imo

very true artifakt playes with the basslines continue the whole cd,
once more rolling basslines, then walk in the woods,
there goal is indeed trying not to be repeating and I must say they almost succeeded in that,
mystique atmosphere but mixed emotions,
some sounds I really like others are not my style so it's a bit up and down when I listen to the album,
level of psychedelic: pretty high
level of climaxes: smooth but not so well done, a bit flat imo

I don't care about covers,
if the music is good it's good,
and I like the concept,
the more fullon minded progressive, the progressive with power, not overloaded,
but still keeps you busy all the time,
but indeed one thing, the sample repeating sucks,
too bad, big mistake,
continue repeating the same sound or sample is just not goa,
goa is about varation and rolling like a machine, the machine repeats ok,
but that takes a while,
that sample really breaks the atmosphere and makes you wanna skip to the next track

for me there's not much to say about this album except the bassline is to weak,
not motivating enough,
it misses something for me personally

this album actually suprized me very intilligent psychedelic trance,
well is it dark psychedelic trance,
the atmosphere is indeed dark what is a good thing,
but the way naked tourist uses it typical sound is pretty much what I look within the concept goa,
this one scores and will be played more then one time,
advice for people who don't like dark psychedelic trance,
just give it a shot, you might like it

hey tatsu this is what i could find from the fullmoon site,not very great but there still is time and hopefully the list will grow (in quality too i hope not just quantity).
I would like to see more dark psy artists though...well anw here it is!
