Biosphere - Substrata
-
Go for Biosphere, his older work like Substrata, warm atmospheres and no beats at all...
Substrata is very nice indeed! Thanks for that one

Thanks for all those recommendations
That'll take some time to go through all that stuff...

Great List Abasio
The "Elve - Infinite Garde" CD....is it available anywhere? i've listened through the samples, and it's exactly what i was looking for...but i can't find it anywhere :-(
would make a nice X-Mas Gift...

She heard "Solar Fields - Leaving Home" some days ago, and really liked it (Its the first electronic music she likes...). But it still was to much beats for her, so she asked me if i had any CDs without any hint of a beat. ive browsed through my chill collection and recognized that there isn't any music (except for some songs...) that is really beatless...
i really need some recommendations in this direction....abasio maybe?
Thanks-a-lot!

But industry thinks market-oriented and there are just too few of us vinyl lovers...
I've also finally lost intrest in Vinyl...have like 100 Psy and Progressive vinyls here which are only collecting dust...
It was a hard decision.....atm i'm trying to trade as much vinyl for CDs, and the rest is going to be sold in the near future.
I don't know...when i sit at home and listen to an Album, i don't want to stand up after every or every 2 tracks and change the Sides or the Vinyl. And for DJ purposes there are far to less Psytrance vinyls released this days....
I've once bought a release via iTunes Store, and guess what...i've also bought the CD a few weeks later. Wasted money

that's actually true as well ... but it's not so bad yet .. and I like the idea of beatport and such, no shipping times and all that
And nothing to add to your collection aswell. Music for me has to come with an artwork which in the best case fits the Music, a proper medium like a 12" or a disc and, what is unfortunately rare this days, a booklet. i dont like the Idea to buy just a file.
It might be a good option for DJs, that only need 1 or 2 songs from an album, though.

God I sound cynical.
Oh no...im percieving just the same. Trainwreckage that freaks me out, Sets where the Bassline doesn't change in 2 hours, Stupid Remixes, Cheesy vocals. I've developed quite high standards in what i want to hear on a party. When my expectations aren't fullfilled, i'd like to go to the entrance and get my money back. I don't know where this elitism comes from....but it sometimes sucks that i can't just Party like 5 years ago.
It's totally different on a good Open Air Festivals though...When im there, it's like holiday for me, and i can't bother to spend my holiday all grumpy

FSOL is teh Brain-Roxx.
Juno Reactor cool Stuff
Eat Static though.....nice yeah...but....Never got it, really

Well...i can't really put my finger on it, and it definetly has a lot to do with the local scene, but i haven't attended much Parties in the last 2 Years, as it was just the same loop everytime...Same Music, same People, same cops, same drugs, same fake attitude (of me and everyone else...)I think i've came a few years to late to witness the better days of the Scene (The parties that is, not the music).
Now what really annoys me the most? The Music. No one here is willing to bring some innovative Acts to the Parties. If it is Progressive, it's the same boring UmpaUmpa Progressive all the Time (There is soooo fucking good Progressive out there...). If it is FullOn...well it's FullOn. Not many surprises here. If it is really Psychedelic Trance...oh wait. There is no Psychedelic Trance played here. Just FullOn and Prog....and, if the Partyorganizer is the total uber-Guerilla, there is are 2-4 hours of random Darkpsy ( ) played during the night.
There is so much good music out there, but people seem to be happy with the same generic music over and over again.
beh.
