Also, there are much more fans of Lady Gaga than say Sigur Ros or Simon Posford.
The majority is wrong. And stupid as well.
Probably for the better

I herewith confess that I've never watched a single second of Lost. Always zap away when it is on.

The saddest thing about that Oforia tune is that actually thousands of people will dig the ground like crazy when this is played on a neat PA.

Dude, the Bible is one hell of a book. Doesn't matter if you're any religious or not. As Alex (A Clockwork Orange) said: It's full of ultra-violent sex and gore. Or something similar.

Yeah, it's quite a treat He's a real pioneer in some of the techniques he used. His language is magical indeed. I'm seriously planning to lock myself in my appartment soon to re-read it properly.

I have heard seal calls from other sources, and they do sound similar. Check this: http://www.dosits.org/gallery/marinemm/20.htm (recordings 2 and 3)
That video seems fishy indeed, though. All too polished and...see Veracohr's reply. Maybe they re-wrote the recordings afterwards for dramaturgic reasons Real or not, the seal is my favourite animal! They're cuddly

This has been on heavy rotation for more than a week now, and it's getting better. At first it was okay dishwashing music, then it became a Sit-down-and-listen-to-it. Nowadays I'm listening to it on the go, which is a good sign...I only listen to records that are really good when on the way, music that really distracts from the ruckus going on beyond the train windows. So far so good. I'll make an update.
I can already say with certainty though: Electroplasm is awesome. Love the 7/8, great time signature indeed. And the sitar. And Invisible Man in a Fluorescent Suit: Simply brilliant.
What I don't like: Some of Raja's talking is simply displaced. For example I Am You. I don't get it at all. This tune has a theme, as exposed by the lyrics. Hence I don't get those samples like "what would my granny say" or something in that vein. Totally inconsistent, senseless. I kinda like that specific track nevertheless.

Seems Suntrip is back with some heavy mental darkish Goa Trance. I like it!

Does simon really thinks that bitching around will change something, and if he really cares for the money, why dont he start making more shows, isnt the way for psy artist to make little extra cash?
Why shouldn't an artist be allowed to bitch about so-called fans literally stealing his art? Of course, bitching doesn't change anything, never does...but venturing one's anger's always a relieving thing to do
Secondly, I doubt that Twisted ever sees anything of the money their artists earn with their live shows. The money generated with playing parties is the income of the artist, not the label. So unless the artists donate their earned money to their label, it will never see anything of it.

Let me interrupt your discussion for a second to spread some stardust with my star shaped fairy wand.
I just pre-ordered the CD and DVD and am pretty much pissing my pants in anticipation. Twisted Music has never let me down in all these years, these are the guys that keep me clinging to my faith in psychedelic music. I've had so many wonderful moments accompanied by their music, more than with any other music. Twisted shutting down, it won't happen. It can't, it mustn't! You rock.

Classics are definitely more poetic! Classical poetry is really nice! I think my main problem with classical literature is that it is all written for the stage and in a time where people just went on and on and on and on about something without pause for breath which in this day and age just seems to be ridiculous!
Yes I think there is something true in your post. I guess people back then were far more sophisticated and driven by their ideas. Monumental works such as Chateubriand's "Mémoires d'outre tombe" or the already mentioned work of Proust (even though not being from the Classical era) are just impossible nowadays with us people drowning in so many things to do and time killing crap such as social networking.
Me, I like lots of old French stuff, i.e. Baudelaire, Balzac, Maupassant, and some German like von Kleist and Fontane. My problem with especially German classics is that I've heard so many people talking about those authors as "everlasting authorities" that I'm totally fed up and don't even wanna dive into stuff like Goethe. Just because I don't like the feeling of being obliged to like something just because the whole world keeps raving about it. Having said that, I'm much more into modern classics, especially works of the Expressionism and Post-War eras of Germany, France and Scandinavia. It actually has been quite some time that I've read anything from after 1970.

German poetry ftw:
Alfred Henschke: Es hat ein Gott
Es hat ein Gott mich ausgekotzt,
Nun lieg ich da, ein Haufen Dreck,
Und komm und komme nicht vom Fleck.
Doch hat er es noch gut gemeint,
Er warf mich auf ein Wiesenland,
Mit Blumen selig bunt bespannt.
Ich bin ja noch so tatenjung.
Ihr Blumen sagt, ach, liebt ihr mich?
Gedeiht ihr nicht so reich durch mich?
Ich bin der Dung! Ich bin der Dung!

The three albums I like are Antichrist Superstar, Mechanical Animals and Holy Wood. Didn't like anything before and after those. Voted for Holy Wood, because that's the one I've had longest and know best.

"Sun Voyager"... nice
I think I would prefer the sun to set at least for a little bit, it's so hard to get some proper sleep when the sun is up all the time. But the prices are really good in Iceland at the moment, right?! (Since their economy cracked last yeah).
But yeah I would really like to in winter as well, could be really nice to see some northern lights! Onle seem it once or twice and that was when I was a kid.
Regarding the prices: It is still rather expensive. Well, actually, I did get almost the double amount for my money (Swiss Francs) than I would have gotten three years ago, but they surely have adjusted the prices. The guidebook I got dates back to 2007, and the prices of the camping sites sometimes were in fact 300 kronur higher than indicated in the book. A large beer would still cost you around 6 Euros, etc. But living in Zurich, I wasn't too shocked by the prices nevertheless
I, btw, spent pretty much all money I had. I'm completely broke now, even though I didn't eat anything else than fucking vegetable stock with noodles, wieners and chocolate cookies. But it was damn worth it

Thanks mates!
Nice pictures mate
I really would like to go to Iceland as well, I guess this is the time to go!
The viking boat thing in the top picture is really nice, perfect in the sunset!!
Best time would be in July I guess, as midnight sun peaks then (I imagine so, at least). When I was there, the sun set for 3-4 hours. I'll definetely go back there, during winter time it should be awesome as well, Aurora Borealis, you know...
The pic of the viking boat was taken at around 10.30 PM. That sculpture is called "Sun Voyager", btw Reykjavík is an amazing city...
Nice pictures. Is that the largest size you can get them?
Thing is, I took them from my MySpace account, and that sizes it down automatically.

Hey Folks
I was in South Iceland and thought I'll show you some pix. They're nothing too artsy, and I'm an amateur with an even more-so-cam, but maybe you still might be able to squeeze out some words of appreciation for them :wank: Here you are:

Cosmosis - Fumbling For The Funky Frequency
in 2009
Posted
I've never listened to any Cosmosis tunes since THE era. However, Beyond the Five Senses is a blast. Could get a little more berserk in the end, but still awesome, trippy and hypnotic. Good.
