here you have some suggestions...i myself prefeer to listen to very melodic music when i fell that way,i guess its cause progg is depeer slower and some times darker and harder, so some nice floating goa trance is nice for a change.....

i didnt mean it like that....it was just a suggestion to some "real" dark psychedelic trance,like the older stuff that i suggested, wich in my opinion got that dark atmospheric psyvibe........that you cant find in todays so called "darkpsy"...its just hard fast and agressive with weird sounds and horror samples not dark at all imo.
just cause its hard and fast dosnt mean its dark.

yeah maybe youre right about that..i think you really have to xplore youre dark inner regions of youre mind to(maybe)undestand this dark and twisted psytrance of today.
oh...and about the taste for me its one of the best thing in this scene...different tastes keeps the music alive.
and if you like todays darkpsy you should check out the older stuff cause its much better.

i guess youre right ,everyone got there own deffination of darkpsy....... :)and no ones is bettter than somebodys else......but i dont think anyone is being snobish about it......
its just...what i think is dark maybe is totally different to somebody else.....and thats just the way it should be...
its just a matter of(dark)taste...........

i dont have to ask those questions to myself i know what my deffination of dark psychedelic trance is.instead you could ask yourself: what is dark psychedelic trance?
or even better, what is it to me?
that's why i hate all these boxes....
IMO there's only good music, and bad music. all the rest is just bollocks for people trying to fit in a box. and when they don't seem to fit in anymore, they try and name the box differently.....

hehe sounds cool man but easy with the volume.........but im sure you know about that.....Nicolas loves it, i know that for a fact. I just made a little test with The Overlords - Gods Eye on Goa (Ticon remix) while he was sleeping. He woke up first, but fell asleep with a smile on his face again in an instant. I tried vernons wonderland as well, and that had the same effect
I have tried other trance on him while awake, and he really seems to be calm while listening to it.
Another thing that he seems to be liking a lot is Dub and Chillout dub. (Linton Kwesi, OTT and so on I mean)
He DOES NOT LIKE IM! (and thats not a lie). Well, old IM he seemed to have no problem with. He didnt like Very hard dark psychedelic music either. Tried Penta on him and that resulted with a 30 minutes crying attack!

no..no..no more "versus"threads please....its enoff with that full on disscusion thats been going on latly......im sick of it.The dark atmosphere that rests within a dark track. Wow, someone agrees. That's why I find this new "minimalistic" dark crap hard banging metamorphisis techno :-D don't ask. Far away from the dark that I love and enjoy.
dark ambience has retained itself, however while dark psy everyone says "evolved" but why call it dark psy these days? Call it happy hardcore, bahahaaahaaaaa, okay, maybe not
but whatever.I think we need a thread "oldskoolahs vs. newskoolahs" so we all can battle it out. These arguments are kind of vague and useless and I feel like every time I discuss why oldschool is better, I'm actually grabbing a bible (and i hate bibles) and beating someone over the head with it, damn fundies.

darkpsy for me is psy with dark atmospheric soundscapes....not weird sounds lame samples and a fat beat and then its over, i cant find that dark atmospher,witch imo makes a good track dark....i guess im ridiculous then.,It is dark psy, but different from the old school years. I think it's a bit ridiculous to say that artists like KinDzaDza or Penta are not dark. The problem is that many ppl confuse the dark with the scary. Dark Psy means night Psy. Yeah, maybe KinDzaDza music ain't scary or intelligent (although this has nothing to do with the darkness in a track) but you just can't listen KinDzaDza in a morning. Also, many ppl believe that dark psy must be more minimalistic (like Midi Miliz or Hujaboy) which I find completely wrong, since many ''fx madness'' artists are really dark. Anyway I guess the best term for this kind of Psy is ''furious dark psy''.
