  1. I haven't listened to it yet, but it's not surprise for me IMO. SA psy is by far the best subgenre of psytrance after the golden period of Goa. It's also the only genre that evolve through the years, but never lost its quality.

Couldn't agree more... but you already knew that

  2. I don´t know about the champions league but let me tell you who is going to win the Europa League:

    F.C. PORTO

    Hulk rules...

    :P:rolleyes:

What, you didn´t bet all your savings on it??? you should

F.C.PORTO won the Europa League and... sorry, got to go and buy a new car :P;)

    Champions is next

  3. nice review as always!!

this is back to the good times of the first compilation...

Track 01(!!) and 06(!) are my favourite.

and i agree with you on the remark about the Tryon album "the twilight solution", it's quite underrated.

  4. I have to say this:

we should be paying you for your reviews (trance2moveU).

Really, really good stuff and a very distinct funny style. I love it.

About the VA, I have to agree with you. The last tracks are bad (imho).

    Cheers

  5. Why all older great artists of psy/goa now make some gayish melodic commercial shits... Are they become bored of making music? So why they continue making with no sense or wish?

When he was new artist music was better, more complexity and better ideas, quaility too. Now they just made without any of those things, just for money. So now i should make something and release for junkies and so-called new age hippies, specialy for girls that says "I listen psy trance, best music ever! Best people come there, but feelings... yeaaaah! Om Namah Shivaya, Boom Shankar, boooom Ganesh peaaaaace!". For me those ppls are uneducated and illiterate peasants of modern psy/goa scene. Thats same think like Ferrari made new car, best looking ever but can go only 100 km/h. So who will buy it? Just some cavemen or someone who have never drived or had car before and they think they have best car ever!

They are using phrases and thinks they didnt know what they are before they started listen to best music ever. They dress fluo hippie clothes, some funky things too, they are all alices in wonderland, everyone have own wonderland. Debilism of psy scene.

So Talamasca makes music for new age alices in hippielands. If you read this you will understand why you dont need nothing new from Talamasca or most new releases from legendary artists.

And now dont go against me that i dont respect him. I really dont respect him or his music like before because he dont deserve.

PS. But he deserve one hairwash, thats for sure ;)

    + 1

  6.

I still haven't got it. This week I guess. Can't wait!!!

I have it already... but now I have no furniture left :D

    highly recommendable

(I have been playing at home with (almost exclusively) my nexus, timecode, mmd and disasterpeace music and... I'm so happy!!!

Ohh and I saw Shift live @ hard-club in Porto @ NYE. A 90 minutes live act (but I have to say that only the second half was that powerfull)

  7. Posted Image

Ok, that's me with jean michel on the day after his gig in Porto, back in April 2008.

One of my jobs is tourist guide in the Sandeman Oporto wine cellars :D

he is really a very nice guy.

  8. Well his first tracks were reaaaaly good. I haven't listened his debut album which I know it's goa, but I know many tracks from his Waves Of Sound album and there are amazing. Last Man On The Universe for example is breathtaking.

I even like his more trancey tracks like Tribal Maker or Avalanche. But since then his music became way too cheesy and himself way too Tiesto wannabe with all this ridiculous covers.

    sad but true

  9. After listening to the new Timecode compilation Tokoloshe Tales I had to open this thread.

All my SA psy fanboism aside I trully and deeply believe that it is The best psytrance label ever.

You would think that after 7 years they would lost some of their quality, but they just keep releasing only top notch stuff.

Ok, not all releases are masterpieces, but they are so damn good that it boggles the mind.

    Nexus Media comes very-very close.

    Long live Timecode.

    + 1

    (exactly my words)

    Amen

  10. IMO

Goa-This includes all styles of Goa (Old School, New School, Nitzho etc.)

Full On-This includes all styles of Full On (Poppy, Israeli, SA, Dark, Hard etc.)

Progressive-This includes Tectrance too since IMO most of them sound Proggy in my ears. Also minimal, trancey, housey psy etc.

Darkpsy-This includes Forest, Russian style, Psycore, Horror etc.

Experimental-Suomi, Australian, genres fusion, weird stuff

    Ambient/Downtempo-From beatless ambient to Shpongle

and just plain Psytrance-For everything else, like MEEO for example or the old IM.

    wow...

this is exactly how i look at the psytrance scene :clapping:
