  4. Fashion label: TURBO TRANCE WEAR Marseille / France When did you start ? Actually, we started to make clothes at the same time than the music label, in 2000 with merchandising. Please tell me about the history of your fashion label ? We started in 2000, our music label, well known, Turbo Trance records. At the same time, we decided to make some merchandising with t shirts and sweaters, with our logos. Our label knew a great success and the merchandising as well. After some years, the merchandising continued to grow up more and more, even more than the music. It started to be huge and we decided to create a real clothes company. At the same time, we met Didier, the founder of the famous french clothes company, "Pygmees" and he proposed us to collaborate together as he wanted to create a new line in his clothes collection, dedicated to night life. It was the real beginning of Turbo Trance wear, one year and half ago. At this moment, Turbo Trance records decided to produce Pygmees compilation and integrate Didier aka El didion as one of the main Turbo Trance djs. Whats the style of your label ? The style of our label is not about Psy Trance wear. Pygmees influences a lot our style as Didier (Pygmees owner /Aka El Didion) is drawing in collaboration with L'Elf (Turbo Trance owner) all collections. Didier is a real fashion designer influenced by 70's french fashion. Our goal is to mix a bit of each styles together, taking the best from each part. So, you can find a bit of original Psy Trance wear style, Surf, skate and street wear style, and a good dose of actual fashion style. Please tell more about your concept ? We are developping Turbo Trance wear in a really special way. We are not too much in the Psy Trance wear business. You can find our clothes in surf and skate shops, fashion shops close to big marks like Levi's, also, in Gothic shops, depending the models but of course, in some Trance shops! Our concept is to reach people who have nothing to deal with Psy Trance in order to bring them inside our Turbo Trance world and make them discover what is behind our clothes collections, a whole universe. With which materials do you produce your clothes ? We use all kinds of material. Most of it is coton as this is the best material to produce and what people like the most. But we use microfiber, Leatherette, and many more... We actually look for new material and new kind of prints in order to have something different from other clothes marks. What inspires you ? Well, we draw our collections, most of the time, in Bali, where are our factories. Bali is a beautiful island and a Surf paradise. So Surf lifestyle inspires us. Also, we use to go in Thailand to look for new fashion creators there and these fresh creators inspire us as well. I‘m (L'Elf) playing a lot around the world and seeing people on the dancefloor, travelling trough many countries where the fashion is very different from a country to the other is inspiring me a lot. Then, we read lot of fashion magazines, we buy a lot of clothes that we like. Where people or shops can buy your clothes ? We have many retailers around the world. As I said before, we are reselling in many different style of shops, Surf, skate and street wear shops, of course, Trance shops, but also fashion shops where our clothes can be close to huge marks, gothic shops. Actually we have around 40 shops in France and many in other countries like USA, Austria, Croatia, Portugal, Belgium, Spain, Greece, Italy. You can find the list of our retailers on our website: www.turbotrancewear.com and you can also order directly from there! If you are retailers, you can contact us on our website and get catalogues and price lists. Do you have a stall at festivals ? If yes where ? We use to work with some stalls on festivals but we don?t do ourselves any stall anymore. We are actually looking for good partners to collaborate with us on the next festivals as our clothes are selling very good on festivals. Please tell me more about your fashion label which was not asked here in this questionnaire. During next spring we?ll move our name from TURBO TRANCE WEAR to TURBO WEAR. Check our website www.turbotrancewear.com, soon, our winter collection will be added. For any request, catalogue, price list, contact cecile@turbotrancewear.com Interview Direct Link: http://www.mushroom-online.com/a/en/kaleid...who/105307.html

  6. With several exciting releases scheduled for the beginning of this year as well as the start of our collaboration with the Pygmees clothes trademark via the introduction of Turbo Trance Wear by Pygmees, we are sure to dominate the scene and prove once more our innovative and totally original modus operandi. With summer and all the festivals not far over the horizon, what could be better than a 100% sunny compilation created by Charles Michaud - Mr Triptych himself? Still in the funky psychedelic style of which he is the master on the trance scene, he pushes the limits of the 'Groove' experiment as far as the ear can hear. No question about it, Accelerator 3.0 is the most mature album of the series. We are very sad to say that this new Accelerator CD is being released only a short while after the death of Dj Beka who compiled the last one. She leaves behind her an empty space at Turbo Trance and a huge gap in the whole scene. She will be sorely missed. It is to Dj Beka that Accelerator 3.0 is dedicated. Artists : Accelerator 3.0 begins with a tune which lays down the shape of this new compilation. This is the revelation of this compilation for Turbo Trance who takes place first. Actually, Ecliptic, young Mexican project managed by the famous south American label, Maia records, developed a new refined style, between Psychedelic Techno and Housy tendencies in the way of artist such Sub 6 or Triptych, with Electro rhythms, electric sounds but also subtle and positive melodies! Then, the new Turbo Trance star: a truly exciting and versatile band, Manmademan, who have long experience in the scene. Soft and groovy, full of Wah Wah guitars, this track has morning strings, hypnotic rhythms, twisted sounds and mysterious ambiences! To follow up we have another Turbo Trance newcomer, Tranan, who has been acclaimed for his previous projects, Hux Flux and Logic Bomb, and has been signed to the most famous labels, including TIP World, Solstice and Spiral Trax. As usual, Tranan produces a dancefloor filler, deep and melodic, with acidic basslines, trippy leads and tribal percussions. Next, Turbo Trance proudly announce their signing of the first Altom (Neurobiotic) remix: here they deliver their version of the 90's Manmademan world hit, Karahana , which Hallucinogen also remixed on “The Legend-Remixes”, released recently. This is a really tribal and danceable track, perfect to listen to at home and to move to on the multi-coloured morning dancefloor. Then, ladies and gentlemen, the jewel of this compilation: a Triptych tune which swiftly became a world hit and one that you'll often hear people singing on the dancefloor. After some releases on Mind Control, Alchemy and TIP World, Triptych has delivered his best track so far - a fast one at 144 bpm, with provocative melodies and funky basslines that you'll just want to keep dancing to. To carry on the groove, we have the the unique style of the young Israeli guys from Elec3 who, after their well received first album “Plug and Play”, mastered the Turbo Trance vibe and opened a new door into the wonderful world of Trance. Here they deliver the most insane and psychedelic track on this compilation without losing its funky and groovy way! Now I bet you all wondered where the Mumbo Jumbo Crackers disappeared to. Well, they are back with a vengeance. Billy aka Cosmosis and Mitch aka Kuma offer us a new Psy tune full of humour with some acid lines which are reminiscent of the «Acid Junkie» or «Pump Panel» style from the first age of Electronic music. Next we have another newcomer, a name to remember: Narcophone. This is Addic-Sound label manager inviting us to dance on the Vampire's Funk to a deep and melodic sound. Bringing this musical gem to a close is the greatly anticipated collaboration between the Melodies prince and the Groove master: Triptych and Pop Stream. Pop Stream is a young Spun Records (GMS) artist from Israel whose tracks have been released on labels such as Maia, Alchemy and Phonokol. This exciting collaboration provides us with a music lesson by means of an innovative track full of pop-music sensations in a pure UK Trance style! Pump up the volume, close your eyes and take off Press & Marketing : Turbo Trance has always taken great care over promotion and marketing. Since it began, the label has established an effective press network all over the world and we maintain good relations with most of the specialist press, whilst also enjoying close contact with more general dance music publications. 7. TURBO TRANCE RECORDS presents “PYGMEES GROOVE” compiled by El Didion Volume 1 Label: TURBO TRANCE RECORDS Type: Compilation Style: Psy Trance Format: Jewel box Reference: TTrCD015 Bar code: 3760083150111 Release date: 03/2006 Track Listing: (Clic the Title to listen) Talamasca - Groovy Pygmee part 1 140 BPM Inessence - Treasure 143 BPM Manmademan - And all that (Alternative control remix) 143 BPM Triptych - Meegos 144 BPM Tikal - Flow 145 BPM Intelabeam - Free action 146 BPM Elec3 - Plugged (Wizzy Noise remix) 142 BPM Prosper – Electro Grooves 142 BPM Logic Bomb - Shadow of the beast (Psypilot remix) 142 BPM Label: As 2006 begins, we at Turbo Trance are proud to announce that we have no less than 5 releases planned before summer. Following the worldwide success of the Manmademan remix album, which is proving to be the Turbo Trance bestseller, as well as the astonishing explosion caused by the young Israelis, Elec3, with their album 'Plug and Play', Turbo Trance is launching a new and totally original compilation concept. We have recently formed an association with the famous French clothes company, Pygmees, encompassing the development of their branch, Turbo Trance Wear, and the launch of their 2006 spring/summer collection, already celebrated in many parts of the world. We at Turbo Trance have decided to give El Didion, Pygmees' boss, the responsibility for preparing the first volume of this new series of compilations to be known as 'Pygmees Groove'. El Didion has first and foremost been, for the last ten years, a famous fashion designer who admits to an addiction to music since childhood. Coming from the jazz scene and having been both a bass player in a band since teen-age and a trance DJ for the past few years, this modest man has a faultless ear and a gift for making it happen on the dancefloor. An esteemed DJ from the Bali scene and promoter of the most magical Indonesian parties, he has decided to take us on his trip and share with us the secret world of his 'Pygmees Groove'. There is quality galore here as some huge names in the trance scene will be included in the long list of stars already collaborating with Turbo Trance records. Mirroring El Didion's fashion creations, this compilation is full of colours and fun and is totally in tune with the Turbo Trance style: funk and groovy but still psychedelic! A new compilation will be released to coincide with the presentation of each season's presentation of the new Pygmees collection. To be continued. Artist: Starting this compilation, the French most famous Psy trance artist, Talamasca (3D Vision, Mind Control, TIP World, Spiral Trax) offers us, with this very tribal track, his vision of the Pygmees groove! Then, the new collaboration project between the two Turbo Trance leaders, Manmademan and Triptych called Inessence propose a new style of music, between deep Techno and hypnotic Trance, more tracks will be released soon and an album will see the light in 2007. Manmademan again get remixed one of their most uplifting track, “And all that”, by the new stars made in Serbia, Alternative control already signed on Proton records, Agitato, Utopia… and already presenting their new album all over the world. Following, the unforgettable Turbo leader, Triptych brings us his new funky twisted bomb, without any concession! Then, the well known French brothers aka Tikal, Neurobiotic main artists and already signed on several labels like Crystal Matrix, Mind control will deliver a very tribal and morning track with a higher production’s quality, one of their biggest hits! Intelabeam (Hommega records, Spun, Alchemy…) will follow with his isreali groovy style and a tune that will be a hit for sure on all Trance floors. The Greek gods will honours us! The Elec3’s hit, from their album, “Plug & Play”, recently released will get remixed by Wizzy Noise (Spun records, Exposure, Agitato…) themselves and the result is huge for a very full on Morning track! A new great producer, Prosper, already signed on well established labels like Etnicanet, ZMA and who is preparing his debut album on Exposure will offer us a very Electro track in the great Wizzy Noise way! To close this really tribal and ethnic journey, coming next from Nordic countries, Logic Bomb biggest hit from 2000, Shadow of the beast, released on Spiral Trax, get remixed by well known Swiss artist, Psypilot, who didn’t release so much these last months but still his high quality level of production! This is only the first volume of a new Turbo Trance adventure, and you can expect to go deeper and deeper in the Pygmees feelings each next times more! PRESS & MARKETING : Turbo Trance records is really careful and aware about promotion and marketing. Since the beginning, the label created a good press network all over the world and remain on good terms with most of the specialized press but also has good connections with more generalist “Dance Music”. Tried and tested on the dancefloors of Australia, already the tracks featured on this album have been gaining fantastic feedback from dancers all around the world. As for the rest of the year we have a few things in the pipeline…our latest team member Manmademan will release “The Legend-Remixes”. An album featuring remixes of their tracks by Tristan, Son Kite, Silicon Sound, Triptych, Polaris, Eat Static, Hallucinogen and Manmademan themselves. Elec 3 will be following up with their debut album to be released In November. Watch out for the third instalment of the Accelerator series…. compiled by the man himself…. Triptych. Artist: Opening track is Turbo Trance’s own Triptych with his most full on and funky track to date, “Here I am”. Triptych melodies and vocal effects bring a smile to your face. What can we say except that Charles just keeps getting better. Polaris (part of the Neurobiotic team) delivers a jazzy funky track with groooove…enough to get anyone moving. The name of the track says it all – “Unity” Overlap (Misha & Vyachaslav) are from Russia. These guys have been gaining more recognition over the last 12 months and for Turbo Trance they produced a morning vibe track – “When dreams come true”- with big soundscapes and fresh psychedelic layers, not your usual formula here. Alternative Control (Rastko & Goran) from Serbia have given us Trance rap! “Hijacka” - Killer bassline and did someone say MC? Old school stylee!! Trademark Alternative Control melodies finish it of nicely. Here we get a bit dirtier….”Psycho Enterntainment” by Interactive (Caio and Fernando - newcomers from Brasil) was created with desire to produce a dancefloor smashing sound. The young guys have succeeded. Watch out for them in the future. With an album set to be released on Nano, Aphid Moon’s “Do what you want” has the high quality production that is expected of Jules. Those techy rhythms just build and build, as do the layers of this track. What a stomper we have with Mekkanikka’s “Booyashaka”. Got to love the Ali G samples. No nonsense its Mekkanikka having it large as Ali G would say!. “I’m so…” is a collaboration of Point (Eran) and Quantum (Gidi) both from Israel. These guys give us a storming track with a solid driving bassline. You’ve got no choice but to keep moving… Finally we have Intelabeam.
