Nice stuff!
what would be the easiest way to go about this in cubase?
Hi,
Sorry i'm not sure if there is a plug-in in or rack system in cubase. You could duplicate the track and add different EQ settings. It's a bit fiddley but will work.

Hi All,
Here is the link for the latest free video. This one covers ideas for splitting individual sounds into separate frequency bands. There are also a couple of free racks to download this time.

Hopefully you like the video, as always any comments are welcome.
Thanks

prepare archive should do the trick. But it might be wise to try it out first with a file you have created to check if it works. I have had problems several times with this. You end up having a project with no files attached. and for some reason they also can't be found on the hard drive anymore. Kinda sucks. Even if it is an old project.
Also bouncing some sounds if you use vsts might be a good option. This way you are building your own sample bank and you it is easier to recreate the track than with vsts.
Just to add to this. Make sure you backup your projects on several hard drives. The second backup is the only real backup ;-)

Hi, I'd like to be able to record samples - from wherever, if it be the forest or an instrument. I'm on a budget but I'm thinking of buying a dictaphone + a microphone.
For example.
Would that be a good idea?
Cheers
Hi,
A dictaphone will work but there are also dedicated field recorders (m-audio, Tascam etc) out there that will offer much greater sound quality. It depends on your budget and what you want to use the sounds for.
In this case - the more you pay, the better the product.
