  1. A lot of very high quality material being released at the moment!

Astral Projection - Dunes Of Gold (f/c Trust In Trance)

Zen Mechanics, Flegma & Nerso - Flux

    E-Clip - Holy Spirit

    Atomic Pulse - Spartan (f/c Plusquam/Zoo Music)

Zen Mechanics & Sonic Species - Air Knob

Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygene 8 (Astral Projection Remix) (f/c Trust In Trance)

The Freak Show & Atomic Pulse - Generate Time

    Liquid Soul - Purity (Unreleased)

Pop Stream - Into Orbit (Atomic Pulse Remix)

Astral Projection - Humans Will Play For Robots (John '00' Fleming & The Digital Blonde Remix)

  2. You don't want to know what I would be willing to pay for it to get it any sooner.

I know it's coming, I know they have horrible release schedules and I know it is going to be one of the most amazing things to happen for me in quite some time. At least, from what I hear, the next EP is ready for the most part and could very well be out later this quarter.

  3. As an "AP hard fan" you have probably heard a long clip of this track already which they play out live (with not as good quality recording, of course), so this is only a very short part and not the main section of the track. APs newer tracks are all 9-10mins or so.

Another new track: Children Of The Last Generation.

Like with most of their clips, it's again too short to judge because the track could develop quite different than you would expect:

  4. After the release of the Oxygene 4 remix on J00F and the preview video of the Oxygene 8 remix...

Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygene 7 (Astral Projection Remix)

    (Facebook)

Also the One EP, while still more than a month away, is confirmed to have a lot more mixes and remixes than known so far...

  5. Okay, I was kinda expecting this already but the samples just prove it: BEST SUNTRIP RELEASE EVER. Because it's "thought-out" and not "come-on-why-dont-you-just-stop-thinking-and-dance-around", because it sounds like 2011 and not 1995. At least one of those two problems have been present in way too much of the newschool Goa stuff... well nearly all. Artifact303 is the #1 newschool Goa artist.

  6. There's always delays and there will always be some. I won't go into all that was discussed about (like a possible cooperation with another big label that *gets stuff done*), but here's some news:

Four YouTube videos with some previews of the 2011 mix of "Astral Projection - One", from the upcoming One EP.

Next up - the "One EP":

    One (Ministry mix)

    One (2011 mix)

    One (Yurika remix)

    One (A-Team remix)

    ...

Following that: "The History Of War - The EP":

The History Of War (Original mix)

The History Of War (Fatali remix)

    ...

and at long, long, long last, "Open Society - The Album".

  7. Michele Adamson Vs. Shanti - Poison

And you know what? I actually enjoyed that track.

Seriously guys, I am not as long into Psytrance as some of you are but I can't take people seriously that say something like "it's killing the scene", "Full-on is dead", "they should be shot", etc.

I am listening to quite some genres, including Psytrance, UK Hardcore, Hardstyle, Hardcore Techno and more. I think it's safe to say that with every one of them, some people are complaining about the music going "too mainstream/cheesy/only chart remixes/it's dead". And they are not complaining since today but have been for half a decade now and there's still amazing new stuff coming out and the music going strong.

So what does it mean if I like, e.g. that cheesy Posion remake here? I don't exactly want to hear it in an Astral Projection set, nor do I want Atomic Pulse to do a remix of it. But to shake things up playing this at some point during an open-air summer festival? Sure, why not? Or just listening at home, for fun?

  8. has anybody heard this new Re-Horakhty track, that is a true psychedelic trance experience!

    http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-7N3elFrSw

one of the best tracks I have heard for ages!

ed: try this one as well Joe ;)

well I actually recommend getting it from ektoplazm (or stream it from the player) since the youtube version has quite compressed sound, doesn't really work ideally (well no surprise really).

    This is an amazing track.

  9. I agree with Elysium. What is wrong with people liking the more popular stuff than the hardcore-underground-5-people-know-it-Goa stuff?

    Favourites of 2010:

Astral Projection - The Blissdom EP

Astral Projection - Open Society - The EP

    Astrix - Acid Rocker EP

Atomic Pulse - Multiverse (yes, I know it's from 2008 but only discovered is this year)

Atomic Pulse - The Safi Collection

    Artha - Fluory Dolby EP

    Artha - Influencing Dreams

Cybernetika - The Scythe Of Orion

Rest goes to lots of single tracks from Ektoplazm/etc. releases, like the fantastic Faradize remix of Infected Mushroom - Dancing With Kadafi and a lot more.

  10.

Recorded by my dear friend Skytrancer. Astral Projection - Dunes Of Gold, the full thing. The day I get this on the album, my life is complete. I would love to know some Psytrance that is as good as them, but honestly after listening loudly to Humans Will Play For Robots, or the new clips (The History Of War / Dunes Of Gold / etc.), simply nothing comes close.

  11. Updates...

    Astral Projection left Moonstone Bookings

December 2010: One - The EP

January 2011: The History Of War - The EP

February 2011: Open Society - The Album with 2 CDs!

2011: Jean Michel Jarre - The Astral Projection Tribute Album & other surprises

  12. I am not long enough in the Psy scene to know all of GMS's stuff, but I do like his 2010 remix of Astrix' "Eye To Eye" for example. It may be pretty simple or boring for the hardcore guys out of you, but I like the high quality production and structure.

However what the hell is this Alien Jesus thing? I mean, like, seriously?

Ormion's avatar represents pretty well what I looked like after hearing through the samples. I actually laughed out loud when I heard that "Lucy In The Sky" track, so that my brother came into my room to ask what is going on.

  13. Some news:

    - "Open Society" album still scheduled for 2010 release.

    - Second album coming in 2011 dedicated to Jean Michel Jarre remixes

    - "Open Society" album was completely done years ago, but BNE stopped the release.

    - Older tracks will be reworked with additional sections for the album.

    - They contacted Jean Michel Jarre through their friend John '00' Fleming and got the blessing for their Oxygene 4 remix and to do more remixes.

    - The History Of War (Feat. Fatali), Dunes Of Gold and Oxygene 4 remix will be on the "Open Society" album.

  14. like how does it sound cuz Astral Projection is what got me into the psy scene so is it alright or what?

Don't expect to hear their Pre-2000 sound. They changed their sound I personally love their work today.
