  1. It's indeed very sad the forum closed... It was the 'saloon' for whole the Flemish goa scene. :)

BUT luckily some guys are working on a new forum called "604.be"!

The new forum (You can't registrate yet)

Hopefully it will be as nice as the old one..

And draeke; if you want to read the whole story why they shut the forum down, you can read it here. :)

  2. The warm welcomes are much appreciated! :)

After exploring the forums, it's so nice to see a higher influence of Goatrance here... I was honestly beginning to think it had become a forgotten relic.

Goa trance is ALIVE bro :D

    Welcome!

  3. The music that left the biggest impression on me was De-loused in the Comatoriam, The Mars Volta's debut album. :) Every track is perfect... Can't explain the album, you just have to listen it. It's also very psychedelic.

Second would be Nick Drake (all 3 albums) and a song called 'Star Slight' by At the Drive-In.Star Slight is only 1 minute and 20 seconds long, but it left a very big impression on me for some strange reason.

For electronic music It's harder.. Probably The Messenger by Jörg On Mushroom. :)

  4. Thanks man! :) I'll listen to it this evening.

One little problem: I downloaded the EP, but Winrar failed to unzip the fourth track. It said: "! C:\Users\Daan\Downloads\Beast303 - Controlled EP - (UAFR009) - 2010.rar: CRC failed in Beast303 - Controlled EP - (UAFR009) - 2010\04 - Beast303 - Pyro Acid.mp3. The file is corrupt

    "

Am I the only one with this problem?

  5. Great release! My favourite tracks are Time Current (Silver Remix) and the two Astrancer tracks! :)

I totally love the melody at the end of Liquid Flow's track, but in general the track sounds a bit dull to me...

  6. I voted Goa Trance mostly.

Most of the time I listen to old/newskool Goa trance, Nitzhogoa and Nitzhonot. 95% Goa/Nitzho & 5% Psytrance I think. :) I enjoy some prog (AKD!), forest trance & full-on.

& I discovered the twilight sound some days ago and I quite like it. :)

  7. But still today I love to go into a psy record store (whenever I'm in a place that has one), browse through the records to realize I have no idea of what I'm looking at, have the clerk recommend something, and feel frustrated because the overprized t-shirts are unavailable in my size.

Haha great, I know the feeling!

I only got in touch with the genre two years ago, so I never experienced the time where psy-albums were available in (local) record stores. :) The last record store here in Belgium that sold psytrance and goa trance went bankrupt some months ago unfortunatly...

I love CD hunting, but unfortunately most of the record stores I go to don't have the music I'm interested in, except for some IDM albums. So I order all my albums through the internet.

  8. all downloads are dead, right? how come :(

I would really appreciate it if someone could upload the other cygnetic albums again!

This one is still working though! :)

  9. This is one of my favourite albums of all time!

It's strange that many people seem to dislike the album...

First of all the title of the album is really nice and poetic. I like every track on the album, outstanding downtempo music with incredible touching arabic melodies. The glitch elements are also nice.

My favourite tracks are the last three, but Retroscape and Transmissions in Bloom are also great.

I find inner peace when I listen to this album. :) 9/10

  10. I was also surprised when I saw that this album didn't got any reviews. :)

This is a quality album and it turned me into Goa Trance entirely. (Discovered psytrance around march 2008, mainly full-on and prog, but after this album I never looked back. I didn't even know all the substyles back then.)

My favourite tracks are Het Was Zomer, Horizon In Your Head, Hoa Nozem (hilarious track title for the Dutch people over here  ) and Our Sky Is The Mind.

Great psychedelic and non-cheesy nitzhonot with blasting melodies! :)
