V/A - Ether
in 2010
Just as a side note, it seems like Gabriel had one more card up his sleeve. There will be another album in the Elements series titled "The Missing Elements" :
"Will consist in unreleased tracks which has not found a space on the Serie!" Due out summer 2011!

just heard that this is out, what do you think?
hmm actually I find it pretty generic, I was expecting much more when hearing the names involved...

Return to form for The Orb, but there's nothing new anywhere in that album - in fact I heard several samples coming from Orblivion... Not bad, 3/5 tops imho!
-
Check out the older album too, it's totally tits!
Just received 10:10PM, and gave it a listen... Man... thanks AGAIN for this, love it! Will definitely check out his older stuff, as recommended
-
Just bought it, diggin' it alright....!
-
Definately this:
Thanks for this, went straight to the website to listen to the samples and watch the video ; I bought the CD immediately
-
Received my copy yesterday, and as I mentioned on another thread here, I dig it, A LOT. Second listen tonight... Can hardly wait!
-
Having my first listen right now, only at the second track, but so far me liiiikes

Ultimae sent a newsletter with, among other news, a new Asura album to be released early next month! Pre-orders should start next week.
-
It's a great idea and it has certainly worked for some other bands. It isn't as if you are getting nothing for the pledge... so I wish them well in this experiment.
"New Album and All Our Back Catalog" for 25 pounds is tempting me....
Edit : Okay, was too good to pass, I pledged

Just a heads-up : Solar Fields' latest is now available for pre-order, the first of two releases this year on Ultimae :

Pre-ordered my copy!

I love the album, not much more to say than that...

Well, things have been moving fast for Ultimae!
After the H.U.V.A. Network news of a new Live e-release album, they've just put the new CBL album "Interloper" for pre-order :

Caaaaaan't waiiiit!!

thank you for the news.
so this live set is other electronica?
Well it's not General Psytrance... Unless I missed a forum for ambient music?
Btw, still no answer if there's going to be a lossless release or MP3 only..

Ultimae announced a download-only (e-release, as they call it) of H.U.V.A. Network - Live At Glastonbury Festival, out on May 17th 2010:
"Magnus Birgersson aka Solar Fields (on the left, happy and mystifying the audience) and Vincent Villuis aka AES Dana (on the right, checking soundcard routing) performed this memorable H.U.V.A. Network Live Act on the InSpiral stage at British festival Glastonbury in 2005. Expect some deep Downtempo beats, oneiric Trip Hop and Morning Trance. This exclusive e-release (reference inre040) will be available Worldwide on 17th May 2010"

I asked if this album would also be available in LOSSLESS, which I dearly hope it will be. I'll get back here when I have an answer!

Incredible just incredible. There's twists, there's turns, there's dynamics, there's a whole new layer of pure freshness in this music. A hallmark in electronic music. Hybrid outdid themselves. This album is not what I expected nor did I want, but unlike in Filteria's case, this even better than I predicted.
But bearing in mind, this not background music. You need concentration and actually good hardware to get the most out of it. And the bass can be extremely dirty and deep. Love this new approach from Hybrid.
If I'd have a very short thing to say about this album is... "more mature". And I totally agree with your comment there.
-
Anyone noticed that some tracks seems to cut short at the end? Especially noticeable at the end of Track #3 on the first CD.
Good progressive chill album

Slackbaba - Perverting Mankind

Maybe because it's too ambient for usual ultimae fans. It is in their lower bpm range
It's very different from his first album too so maybe he has disappointed fans out there. I like it though and it is growing on me
Probably, as I haven't enjoyed it at all so far. Maybe I need to be in the right mood...

I really enjoy BT's These Hopeful Machines album (2 CDs) ; especially CD1 which I can't stop listening to anywhere (at home, at work, in my car...)
-
first!
Not quite...
Can't wait to listen to it tho!

Break My Soul! What an awesome track! I prefer instrumental as usual but the voice work is really good as well.
I'm so excited about this! I'm deeply in love with their earlier albums, Wide Angle, Morning Sci-fi and I Choose Noise.
Anyone else here into the kind of electronic Hybrid does?
Heck yes, I'll even NOT listen to any samples they have out right now so to not spoil the surprise on March 29th ; comments like yours give me hope for another excellent album

Received this on both vinyl and CD this week:
Subheim - No Land Called Home
Love it... And ever since I re-connected my old Technics SL-DD2, I've rediscovered the joy of vinyl
