  1. Magnetix - James Lawson – The Sixth Sense – 30th April @ Club 414 Spring is officially here, the days are getting warmer and longer and you wouldn’t know it, but we’re slowly creeping out of the “recession”. Now if those 3 things don’t make you want to go out and party like it’s 1999 then we don’t know what will! So without anymore fuss, brace yourself for news of the April 30th instalment of Magnetix! We’re very proud to have none other than James Lawson headline this event. Anyone who was around back in the days of Camden Palace will testify to this mans genius, both in the studio and behind the decks, and we’re bringing him and his new Psy Trance sound to Brixton’s favourite venue, just for you! We also have a UK Exclusive with The Sixth Sense joining us all the way from Venlo in Holland. The label manager for Nero Records has been busy very since he burst onto the scene, and with the many original Hard Trance productions and remixes behind him over the last 5 years meant that we just had to offer him his first ever UK set. Another DJ from foreign shores will also be joining in is Pan, the main man behind Chemistry. Having rocked the Psy scene in Oz for ages he moved to London for more of the same, so we’re extremely happy to have secured his services for the evening. We’re also very happy to announce the return of a Magnetix resident and former favourite, Mat Lock. Recently back from his worldy travels we’re sure he has plenty of tall tales to tell, but also lots of even better Trance to play, and he’ll be doing so for the first 2 hours to get things off with a bang. Keeping things a little closer to home, our final guest of the evening will be Latex Zebra. Founder of Zoology, the 414's longest running monthly promotion makes this man a bit of a legend in our eyes so we could hardly say no when his services became available to us. Of course no Magnetix would be complete without our trio of residents, Phil Lankester, Dean Zone and Andy Forse, and don’t forget the free after party Rubix if you’re still wanting more come 6am. And remember, you can download loads of mixes from our past events for free from our website, www.magnetixuk.com! 2. After a short break to re-charge our batteries, and with the memory of the rather spectacular Birthday Boat Party still in the forefront of our minds, Magnetix are very proud to present our next road block event: The Magnetix Halloween Ball, at our home, Club 414, on 30th October 2009! For this event we’re going to go all out to turn Club 414 into the ultimate Halloween venue for the night, complete with Pumpkins, Ghouls, Ghosts and a selection of seriously talented DJs and artists! Heading up the psy trance for the night is the wonderfully talented DJ Moon from Mexico, at just 22 she’s signed to Mandala Records and has successfully established herself on the UK circuit playing at Waveform, Glade, Sounds of Sunrise, and now Magnetix! With her driving, morning sound she uplifts as well as devastates dancefloors, and as she continues her world tour, we know she’s going to be remembered by the Magnetix faithful long after she’s gone! MDA & Spherical are two of the hottest properties in the scene right now, with a massive collection of releases on some of the scenes leading labels like Tidy, Tranzlation and Masif. In 5 short years they have pretty much done it all, from their much acclaimed “Welcome 2 The Future" Live PA shows featuring vocalists to show stopping sets at venues such like Brixton Academy, this dynamic duo have been making some serious noise and it’s our pleasure to welcome them to make their mark on Magnetix. Our final guest of the evening is TrickyDJ. Based in Bradford, TrickyDJ has been tasked with brining the once great High Fish records into the Digital era, and has been doing a sterling job with some extremely high quality releases over the last year. We’re very pleased to say that Tricky will be making his first appearance in London, with an extra special b2b set with our very own Dean Zone that is sure to shake the foundations of the 414 to it’s very core. Of course no Magnetix would be the same without our fantastic residents Phil Lankester AKA Libra 9, Andy Forse and Timmy Whiz, with the free afterparty carrying straight on from the main event featuring Kevster, Lorenzo “Tequila” Barrero and Barry Harding! As per usual we’ll have 50 copies of the latest Magnetix Promo CD, with Vol. 8 this time being mixed by our very own Phil Lankester, and remember, if you missed out on any of Volumes 1 – 7 then you can download them all — along with lots of live sets from the previous Magnetix events — from our website, www.magnetixuk.com! The Magnetix Promise: Please note, we here at Magnetix are not content with just turning up, putting up set times, switching on the decks and playing some music. Oh no. It is our mission to give you, the clubber, a much more personal clubbing experience. On the night we will be decking out Club 414 to the max. Expect psychedelic décor, vinyl giveaways, free mix cds courtesy of our special residents for the first 50 people through the door, free UV/glowy stuff, free tickets to other events and lots more. Couple that with the best chill-out room of any club in London, dedicated club photographers, a roof terrace for the smokers and of course, the legendary 414 café (what other club in London can you get a cheese toasty from?) and you’d be mad to miss out! We are also doing our best to support new talent and push new DJs. With a strictly any type of trance music policy, we are always open to receiving demos. Just hand it in at the door when you arrive. All demos will be listened to by a member of the team and we’ll give you some feedback. 6. The Magnetix Beach Party - Friday 31st July 2009 [c]With the exploits of our May event still fresh in the mind and with what looks set to be a fantastic summer ahead of us, we thought we’d waste no time in tell you all about our next party, the Magnetix Beach Party! For this very special event we’re going to go all out to turn Club 414 into as much of a beach as possible to create that unique Magnetix vibe. With our second to none décor and up for it crowd we think this will be a night to remember, so much so that anyone wearing beachy attire will get £8 entry to the club all night (no Speedos though please gents!). Headlining is Chris & Matt Kidd, two super hot DJ/Producer brothers from York who quite literally have the world at their feet. After tasting lots of early production success they have gone on to establish themselves as one of the UK’s fastest rising acts. Recently the pair have been signed to John Askews “Discover” label which will further catapult their already impressive careers into the stratosphere. Seemingly ignored by London promoters for reasons unknown, we are very proud to be able to bring them down for their London debut! DiabloTraxx Collective member Rob OTT is our next guest. Famed for their live PA’s which have taken them around the globe with Rob as their driving force, he has worked with just about everyone worth mentioning in the scene and commands respect wherever he goes, and with productions coming out of his studio literally every week, we’re glad to have Rob show us what he is all about. Taking our guest slot for some mouth-watering, feet stomping, twisted psychedelic craziness is Mif, the multi-talented DJ/producer and label manager of Mutagen Records. He’ll joining us fresh off the plane from Poland’s Common Festival, and having recently collaborated with some of the scene’s leading figures such as Sinewave and Sutekh, it’ll be clear why Mif is having no trouble establishing himself and his label on the international psy trance circuit. Last but by no means least we have 2 of the finest talents to ever emerge from Wales in SHOCK:FORCE. Consisting of acclaimed producer Sully and DJ Matt Thomas, SHOCK:FORCE have taken the Hard Trance scene by storm in less than a year, with remixes of classics such as Jetlag and Expander taking their productions over the airwaves of Radio 1 as tracks signed to Dave Joy’s Joyride imprint, it’s fair to say that these two are making the right noises and moving in the right direction as we welcome them for only their second London set! Of course no Magnetix would be the same without our fantastic residents Phil Lankester AKA Libra 9, Dean Zone, Andy Forse, Timmy Whiz, Kevster, Lorenzo "Tequila" Barrero and Barry Harding! As per usual we’ll have 50 copies of the latest Magnetix Promo CD, with Vol. 7 this time being mixed by our very own Dean Zone. 9. As the days start getting longer, the mercury rises out of the minus degrees for seemingly the first time in ages and the fact that it doesn’t seem to be raining 24/7 can mean only one thing. It’s Spring, and nearly time for another fantastic Magnetix party! With the events of our fantastic January party still fresh in our minds, we’d like to thank everyone who contributed and partied with us! And in case you missed it, as usual we took the liberty of recording the entire event, which can be exclusively downloaded or streamed from our brand spanking new website – www.magnetitux.com. But enough of the past and on to the future, and we’re very proud to bring you all the info for our next event: Magnetix @ Club 414 – Fri 29th May 09 One name that is sure to stir up excitement amongst psytrance lovers, producers, and DJ’s alike; all of whom eagerly anticipate his every release or live performance, is SINEWAVE. Currently riding high in the psychedelic scene here and abroad, his live act signed to Mutagen Records and releases on high profile labels such as Geomagnetic and Neurobiotic, he has been carving a reputation as one of the scenes most promising talents; whipping up a frenzy at The Waveform Festival, Wonky Disco and a host of big parties. SINEWAVE will be sure to bring his unique blend of heart throbbing basslines fused with hypnotic psychedelia, and leave Magnetix in a state of furore. Not content with bringing the live talents of Sinewave down, we’ve also enlisted the help of Beyond/Excessive Pressure head honcho and all round rising Trance star Steve Allen, who will also be making his Magnetix debut. If being involved in the creation of 4 labels so far in his relatively short career is not enough, this mans productions have the backing of just about every superstar DJ there is in Trance. And when his tunes aren’t getting rinsed by the likes of Tiesto and Armin, he’s busy playing on the same bill as the Paul van Dyk’s too! But don’t take our word for it, check them out here: http://www.trackitdown.net/search/keyword?...earchButton.y=0 We’re also proud to present one of the recent winners from the Hard Dance Awards: Nick the Kid. After rightfully home the Regional Hero award, Nick has continued his relentless charge on the scene, with recent single “Enigma” charting in just about every download store worth mentioning as well as Radio 1 airplay, this is certainly one Kid to look out for in the future, and another making his 414 and Magnetix debut! Finally we have Kito, our last guest for the evening. Kito has been rocking the underground scene with a multitude of parties such as Carnage, Oneness and Tribal Dance at the Medussa club for a while now. Kito is also no stranger to the 414, holding a residency at Spin as well as Fridge based Colours. A very versatile DJ who could easily fill any timeslot and still fit in with our strict music policy meant he was always going to feature for us at some point, the only question was when! Backing up pur strongest line up to date is the ever ready Magnetix residents, Phil Lankester aka Libra 9, Dean Zone and Andy Forse. As per usual we’ll have 50 copies of the latest Magnetix Promo CD, with Vol. 6 this time being mixed by our very own Andy Forse. And remember, if you missed out on any of Volumes 1 – 5 then you can download them all, along with lots of live sets from the previous Magnetix events from our website, www.magnetixuk.com! And for those of you who don’t want to go home come 06:00, the FREE Magnetix After Party will be running till very late, with Macloud, Kevster, Timmy Whiz and Lorenzo "Tequila" Barrero! The Magnetix Promise: Please note, we here at Magnetix are not content with just turning up, putting up set times, switching on the decks and playing some music. Oh no. It is our mission to give you, the clubber, a much more personal clubbing experience. On the night we will be decking out Club 414 to the max. Expect psychedelic décor, vinyl give aways, free mix cd’s courtesy of our special residents for the first 50 people through the door, a UV stall, free tickets to other events and lots more. Couple that with the best chill out room of any club in London, dedicated club Photographers, a roof terrace for the smokers and of course, the legendary 414 café (what other club in London can you get a Cheese Toasty from?) and you’d be mad to miss out! We are also doing our best to support new talent and push new DJs. With a strictly any type of Trance music policy, we are always open to receiving demos. Just hand your demo in at the door when you arrive. All demos will be listened to by a member of the team and you will receive feedback. Magnetix - Friday 29th May 2009 Sinewave (LIVE!)
