  1. ok i have this pb for a while...

when i have a bass note on the same beat as the kik they collide...

like the kik won't be clear... how do i solve that..

i tried many different settings of eq, but nothing seems to work...

i hear on some tracks that they have a bass note on the same beat sa the kik and it sounds fine..

so how should i eq so i don't have that pb??

    ben

  2. i need help on the topic of using compressors on the master channel.

i read spindrift's take on it somewhere... he said u should not use a compressor on the master. i use logic, and if i don't put a compressor on the master channel, my levels go way to high.

oh, and what compressors r good to use on the master??

if i really should not use compressors, what should i use on the master??

  3. ensign i know what u mean...

can't stand those horrible vocals either.. they make me cringe..

btw don't expect to hear much IM in talpa...

it's got some similar melodies, but not as good as infected.

I got the last album and was pretty disappointed... i mean the guy is talented, no doubt, but people should stop comparing it to old infected mushroom.. same goes for misted muppet...

there is nothing that sounds like the gathering or classical mushroom..

  4. tell ur friend to go to isratrance in the north america section...

otherwise u have to be more specific as to where he is staying...

i can help with san francisco cause i live there but dunno about other cities..

but i do know that people have posted similar request on isratrance b4...

    so check there for sure....

  5. radio was released on blue-room,

and yeah u should really get it!!

killer stuff!! their best album for me, really psychedelic...

as far as irritant is concerned i didn't like it either...

i mean it is crative, and some tracks are pretty good, but it gets boring..

i even saw them live playing this stuff and i could hardly dance...

  6. i used to go to raves before in the US.. starting in 1999...

then i saw a flyer for a party w/ infected mushroom... i thought mmm cool name, i should check it out...

so i went and i loved the music, the atmosphere, the people, the decos... i had a blast... then i bought the gathering cd... and after that there was no turning back...

been going to psy parties ever since...

  7. usually the albums that i have to listen to many times before i get them are albums with different styles, that explore new things...

examples are some Infected mushroom albums, always sounds better the more u listen to it... and an other one was shpongle -tales of the inexpressible...

took me a while to get into it, but now i love it...

i think it's because those take a new approach, so it takes a while for our brains to process it, and also many times we tend to expect a particular style from certain artists (at least i do) and so it may take a while to "get it"...

but i think every album is diferent in that sense, and like was said previously it depends on taste and varies from person to person...

  8. i agree with overdose and RTP...

those people that will soon hear psytrance on the radio and pollute psy parties are for the most part pretty obnoxious...

i mean i saw that myself when i went to clubs... a lot of people come who don't know anything about psytrance, and some of them are nice, but most of them are just very disrespectful, they get drunk and push people, they are more superficial and are less open minded.. the thing is that they already have tons pf places where they can go so yes i do mind if they come to psytrance parties...

and btw i live in san francisco... and when inf. mushroom would be coming to town the club where i used to go would be packed with those people and other ravers who were pretty obnoxious, so that should say something about what IM's music has become btw...whereas in other parties in the same club with other less known and less commercial acts that pb was really lessened...when i asked the promoter how come the club was so packed (with not very nice people) he told me that people just love IM... ah well there i am bashing them again but like i said before the music played attracts a certain kind of people, so if psytrance becomes more and more simple and less and less psychedelic (which has been the tendency) then those people will come more and will pollute the parties.. like it's been happening already... and then there will be more fights (i have seen those to) more disrespectful people, and that's not what psytrance parties are about imo...

  9. well psychosis i'll have to disagree with u...

listen to that interview posted by filteria in the topic "what happened to inf.mushroom"... they clearly say that if they make a track and the crowd doesn't like it, they go back in the studio and change it or even not release it at all... that is called selling out in my book... selling out is when u release stuffs that people will like, compromising what u really like personnaly...it's not just about making money...

and about ur mainstream argument... well there is enough mainstream music outhere allready... and many people who listen psytrane don't like mainstream music.. that's why they get upset when groups that they used to like are desperetely trying to become mainstream, thereby compromising the quality of their music... granted, they always try to innovate and indeed they are geniouses, that is maybe why people get upset cause they have so much talent and imo they don't fully put it to use cause of their dream of MTV and fame...

and to finish i would say get over it when u read people complain about them... if u don't like it go check the infected mushroom website u will like it better for sure...
