Has Mars ever said that Filteria is the best ever psy-artist? Or are you making a fairly large leap of faith from the fact that he said that Heliopolis was his favourite album of 2006?
Look, the Best of 2006 votes were about personal taste. By voting Filteria as no.1, he was saying that he personally likes his music, which was also presumably the reason why he personally signed him to his personal record label. Nothing sinister about that. Note further that Suntrip is one of about one label that is actually releasing stuff that has the old school Goa sound nowadays, so it's hardly surprising that acts which have that sound (and which are therefore likely to make it into Mars' best of 2006 list) would end up signed to Mars' label.

I agree a division between non-down-midtempo stuff from the highttempo-trancy stuff would be good! I personally think its difficult to put it all into a joined-list and even more so when its only a top 5..... well just my thoughts

uh, out of 10 thousand+ psy artists in the world, they sure are lucky to work with the BEST EVER, huh? and im sure all the best psy artists in the world are just dying to be signed to suntrip. but they only accept the BEST, right?

Nobody was influenced in their votes, and i can bet that nobody voted for certain releases just because it was "fashinable" or "hyped" or anything.

outside of psy, when it comes to artists who already have it made and are rich as a donkeys asshole, then i say its fair game to download the shit.
but also, if it werent for the internet and downloading any psy album, i wouldnt have found out about ANY PSY AT ALL
also, i think its about the music. not the money. that means that a true artist into the MUSIC does now care about the fuckin money they make, but about how many people are moveed by their work. that should be the greatest reward.
if they cared about the money, they would pull an infected mushroom. and bitch about wanting to make movie soundtracks and shit. and move to hollywood. and get a boner for madonna...

I apologise for my tackie and vulgar comments last night. I was a bit drunk and in a bad mood but it is not an excuse. What I wrote was pathetic and immature.
I take it all back and I want to formally apologise to any member or artist of the Suntrip crew, Jikkenti (whom was awesome enough to send me an autogrpahed copy of his album when I was in Japan) and Oood who has been friend to me on here even when I have been a wanker.
I hope you do not judge me to harshly on this as mostly I'm just a bit of a harmless floater here. I think I propably deserve a warning for this, but it's up to the mods.
Again, please do not judge met to harshly.

and i think this next years psy/chill/fullon different lists is a good idea! it helps out those who are more into one style than the other, since psy IS getting big enough to break up into new sub genres... lets say i only love prog... this list only complicates things by being too general, you see?
in that case, i think va - tribal matrix should have stole first place in the chillout, vibrasphere, or liquid soul, in prog, and IMO, no one won in the psy or fullon genres. no. not even koxbox, with their worst album ever by far. they used to have something SOOO unique... now they lost it.
need i remind you all with my disgust for filteria? yes i love goa... but its dead. do something NEW with it, like khetzal did, or STFU!
2007 will rule tho, with the prometheus, and younger brother, and ott and synsun... im pretty sure they take up 4/5 of my vote next year.

Personally I wouldn't care to disqualify it, but if i accepted it, then i'd have to accept other similar releases as well.
i say yes. cuz in the end youll end up with a more interesting list, and this years list seems to be weaker than 05 anyway. you should accept the tool and gathering votes too. i havent heard the gathering one, but i know they can do REALLY great trippy ambient, event tho theyre part of the "metal" scene
even tho saikosounds doesnt sell them, they are all still pretty damn psychedelic i think, so they would fit great on here!

Also it has been confirmed that the new younger brother album will have the cover art by Storm Thorgerson. The same guy that did few Pink Floyd covers
their last cover was creepy and disturbing. although i wouldnt mind seeing her titties on the next album cover.

goa chillout: va - spaceships of the imagination (but itll become obsolete when you start collecting the albums, this is the only compilation where nearly all the songs are taken from albums) if you want original stuff go for va - eclipse instead

i prefer hallucinogen. why doesnt anyone ever mention hallucinogen? if youre gonna mention astral projecton surely you need to mention hallucinogen. thats why i think hallucinogen are better than asshole probeaction or massage from goats. everyone knows that hallucinogen are the best. so why didnt you mention halluginogen in this poll? hallucinogen are obviously the best when it comes to old goa. so next time you make a topic without hallucinogen in it, please remember to include halucinogen, so that people who like hallucinogen can vote for hallucinogen.
