The talks will be held throughout the night in the Laughing Room stage area: FUTURE OF PSYCHADELICS - UK SYMPOSIUM A panel of legendary UK Psychedelic voyagers from various generations (Fraser Clark, Mark Heley, Andy Letcher) will help us look into the future of Psychedelics in general and into the UK Psychedelic scene specifically. We will look at the history and ideas (Huxley, Leary etc.) of the Psychedelic scene (particularly in the UK) and what went right and what went wrong. Then the Synergy panelists and audience will share their experiences and brainstorm together to see how the Psychedelics scene might look in the future. RAW POWER: HOW THE RAW FOOD DIET CAN IMPROVE YOUR BEING Two of the most inspiring Raw Food 'gurus' in the UK, 'Shazzie' and Kate (Wood) Magic come to Synergy to show Synergy clubbers the benefits of Raw Food Diet.g The audience will be encouraged to question Shazzie and Kate about all aspects of Raw Food. Kate and Shazzie will talk about their own conversions to Raw Food and show us the beauty and power of Raw. Finally they will show us how we can go raw too! The killing of 11 year Rhys Jones in Liverpool was the latest in an 'epidemic' of attacks on and tragic killings of young people around the UK. Often the killers/attackers were young people themselves, who were usually part of various violent gangs. Many explanations for these horrendous crimes have been suggested: Poverty, Cultural Values, Lack of Male Role Models, Decline of Traditional Religion, Moral Vacuum, Race, Racism, Impotent Policing, Government Indifference, the list goes on and on. SYNERGY brings together a varied panel of 'experts' consisting of people from various walks of life who will debate with each other and with the Synergy audience the causes of and possible solutions to the problem of Violent Youth Crime in the UK.
