  1. Okey now i had a listen to the two tracks i was curious about, the obsidian track and 4 snobs in a row and hmm they didnt really do the trick for me, the obsidian track was oh so predictable it sounds exactly as any of the tracks on goa gate, same formula.. same type of sounds.

I personally want to be surprised when i listen to goa, hear something new and think like: "how the hell they make that?" The Pandemonium! track was a little bit annoying with the VST accordion sound, it sounded like a GM/SF2 instrument to be honest.

The most fair thing i think i could do is to compare these new amithaba tracks to your own older tracks wich i think had more feelings and variation from track to track.

Southern Oracle, Tabernacle & Mysteries Of The Women are tracks wich i think had way more depth and feelings in them, or even A Mad Scientists Night wich was so visual and generated images in my mind while listening to it, thats what psychedelic music is all about.

Also i think it sounds a bit to flat/thin. The tracks i listened to (Obsidian Stones & 4 snobs in a row) would definately benefit from a better 3D feel to it. It doesnt have that production standard that i would expect in 2009 from a CD wich is sold and distributed from mayor online stores like this one is. Even the voice samples sound lo-fi IMO.

Good example of modern goa with good sound quality would be the latest RA album.

This is in now way any kind of bashing, im just beeing honest and writing what i feel when listening to the two tracks.

Oh well somebody else will probably enjoy it more then me. :)

  2. For Diaks--- I totally agree with you. It is rare to like all musics in a release. There is always a track or two rotten or poor.

But on this compilation, I really appreciated it. I found the tracks ' old school ' were always excellent and the tracks' new school' were generally very pleasant. After, Holymen is not a track I will listen all day. It's true that the sounds used are exaggerated and cheese, but I find it fun.

Otherwise, I corrected my mistake. I had to be Zen when I wrote my review

    Fair enough ;)

I forgot to mention wich track i liked the most on this VA, the Astrancer track :)

  3. Quite funny i was browsing the infected forum now in search for some lulz, and found a post where Erez actually responds in a topic:

In the beginning we were inspired by many trance groups, especially from X-Dream,Simon(Hallucinogen) and Etnica.

But with time we got inspired by none trance acts like Depech mode,DreamTheater,Pantera,Korn and many more bands.

we were listening to allot of new stuff all the time even HipHop like Jay.Z.

almost in every album we have these "muse breaks" , that we just got no idea's.

so we approach it as a "Fight", imagine that you play a video game that you are stuck on a level that its impossible to win,

but you have to keep trying until you pass the Level and win the game.

it might sound stupid, but this is our way.

when we got no idea's we just keep trying and trying until something comes and opens many new idea's.

  4. Congrats on the new project Filipe and to the featured track on the future pinball board, by a coincidence i play future pinball a lot especially the bubble bouble board :) im downloading the one with your track featured now so i can test it and hear the track.

I also did some chip tunes some years ago, but it was more "traditional trance" mixed with sid sounds. :)

Your twist with the oriental goa elements and the video game stuff is something new. I have always thougt that the egypt level on super mario land on game boy could be fun in a trance remix, maybe try it? :)

Although this style isnt psychedelic per se, it is funny and well made and makes sense for sound track to games indeed. And the goa elements makes it interesting for a goa head like my self hehe.

    Cheers

I checked your earlier feedback long time ago:

Care to explain why you got the mods to delete your real name from the thread? And then your self post my real name here  The fact that you changed your user name here on the forum from "strydr" to frozen dream and wanted your real name to be removed got me suspicious. :D Once again i have no clue who you are, all I know is that power rangers are.

  6. i bet you send that to every online sales shop huh

and please don't put "Love and Light" mister, anyone reading can spot you're an insane egotripper and i feel used!

There is big difference between a well known online shop and a random anonymous joker like yours truly. :)

And yes I am a big ego, and how you feel is not in my sphere of interest.

    PLUR :drama:

  7. lol i dont send money to strangers on the internet, i dont know you and dont even know your IRL name.

I havent received anything so why should i pay you anything?

    ;)

And yeah think twice everyone on the big internet I am serious trouble :D

    "Love & Light"

btw try to make some spaces between what you just wrote, i get headache by trying to read it.

  8. The first thing you get by typing "Infected Mushroom - In Mind" on google gives you torrent sites. Lol

Yeah just like: Infected Mushroom-The Doors Remixed, Infected Mushroom has openly said in interviews on youtube etc, that filesharing is one of the things that have made them so famous around the world in countries like for example Mexico.

And i suspect they have spread this promo them selves just like with the "The Doors Remixed"

Because of course they know that if they send around promos of an upcoming album it WILL be leaked.

  9. OMG!

Btw. Did you hear the rumour about Infected Joining up with Jonathan Davis from KoRn?

    KoRnY mUsHrOom
