Khan Altay is a space out of time, a festival of art and creation. We gather here with friends from around the world for the cosmic moment of the total solar eclipse.

In this planetary alignment, a way between worlds is opened in the ancient land of Altay. This moment is guarded by a dragon, whose fiery spirit watches over our dreams from the deep blue heavens.

According to legend, Altay is a central axis point between three worlds. A stairway winds from the underground world, up to the land of people, and on to the mountain celestial world.

Khan Altay represents the spirit of our ancestral earth - a living, breathing, portal to planetary consciousness. This festival is an expression of gratitude and a moment of unity in cosmic awareness.

Location: Khan Altay festival will take place in Mountain Altai, on the bank of Katun’ river, in the area of the Total Solar eclipse in southern Siberia. It is 10 km to the nearest settlement, and 390 km to Barnaul. Exact location point will be published on 1st of June.

Altay region is a home for core shamanism that is still being practised among the local population. The area is well know for spirituality, shamanism, power places and anomalous zones.



Tickets: We will not attract any commercial sponsors for the festival preparation; resources for organization are the personal funds, help of our friends and your payments. This year’s location and technical complication of place will increase a budget on organizational part, request to be responsible in this moment and bring organization payment beforehand:

1st of June – 10th of July – 75 euro

Khan Altay is a very special concoction. If you expect to find a mere set of tracks on this CD, you're in for a bit of a surprise, for this release is so much more. It is a mystical fable told by the campfire in the magical mountains of Altay in the summer of 2008 and recorded onto a digital medium with a great deal of love and care so that it might hold you spellbound for a small eternity the way it held us.

Thousands of lucid individuals from all across the globe gathered by the shores of River Katun to celebrate the total solar eclipse. According to the ancient legend, the Altay is the meeting point of three worlds. This is where the mystics of olden times located the Axis Mundi, which is like a stairway that begins in the Netherworld and reaches all the way up to the celestial spheres, passing through the world of humans on its way. Khan Altay embodies the spirit of our ancestral Earth - it is a living, breathing portal to the planetary consciousness. This festival has given us a chance to express our gratitude to Mother Gaia, which keeps the precious cosmic awareness ablaze for millennia. We are most grateful to the Space of Joy community for taking us on this amazing quest for our destiny.

Thus, each and every chapter of our sonic fable is a tribute to the magical event that we shall forever cherish in our hearts.
