Guest Al-Khaberta Posted April 21, 2003 Posted April 21, 2003 A friend gave me his collection of ancient rave cassettes recorded at parties 10 years ago, and I'm ripping them to mp3 to save that part of electronic music history But the sound is a bit muffled on those tapes, and I wonder if someone knows the best settings for noise reduction, equalizer settings etc. in Cool Edit to get the best possible sound out of them. Or should I just record a wave file, normalize it and leave it as it is? Tnx for your feedback Quote
Guest jsainsbury Posted April 21, 2003 Posted April 21, 2003 in cool edit you can do a gppd noise reduction by finding a part with no music, anazlysing thast part witht the noise reduction plug in and then using this analasys on the whole mix to remove only the noise Quote
