Guest Psykomuumi Posted December 17, 2002 Posted December 17, 2002 Any recommendations? Solar Quest: Flying Spirals (of the Orgship album) would be a perfect example what I'm looking for. Put simply: more space, less dub! ... but not so much space as in most of Robert Rich's songs. A question for Finnish people: any idea where one could order cd's without a credit card? Also travelling to Helsinki and drooling around certain record stores is sadly not possible for me at the moment. Quote
Guest Zaramatu Posted December 17, 2002 Posted December 17, 2002 Ashra - New Age of Earth Edgar Froese - Aqua Tangerine Dream - Stratosfear You might want to begin with those three. They're quite cheap, all three of them! Also, they're very accessible in style. Don't really know so much about "Aqua", as I don't have it (yet). Also, another album which I'm planning to get, but don't know the exact style / sound of (although I have red that it resembles the style of Klaus Schulze's "Mirage", which is why I'm planning to buy it)... Neptune Towers - Caravan To Empire Algol Quote
Guest **??**Quazar**??** Posted December 17, 2002 Posted December 17, 2002 You can try this guy: http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/100/numina.html I don't know any Richard Rich songs so i can't compare both, since you say you don't want too much space. Just give a listen. Try these three first: Angel's sigh (His best song IMO) A distance gaze then silence Canicula (Brighter) Bye. Peace. :-) Quote
Guest Psykomuumi Posted December 18, 2002 Posted December 18, 2002 Okey. I'll check them out. Thanks for the tips! Quote

Guest :::EA Posted December 19, 2002 Posted December 19, 2002 www.ambientrance.org One of my favorite resources for the newest ambient, with or without space or beats. Keep an eye out for the site's top ten from 2002, coming soon. Quote
Guest Psykomuumi Posted December 22, 2002 Posted December 22, 2002 Damn, that ambientrace.org site really hit the spot. I visited it a long time ago if memory serves, but later I totally forgot it. Thanks a lot EA, now I'll have to spend my Christmas time wiping drool from the keyboard. Quazar: Liked Numina's songs. Really spacey stuff and mostly nice "positive" melodies, too. Quote
