I saw him play in Norway in 1998. He played some nice chill out tracks back then, but I think he mostly followes the comercial Ibiza style...

He's from Spain

 

He makes very good music. José was the responsible for the soundtrack of the movie "El Sueño de Ibiza" and has compiled a good one indeed.
