Guest Acidhive
New Age Hippies - Sunshine And Rock N Roll Artist: New Age Hippies Title: Sunshine And Rock N Roll Label: Global Trance Network Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 08'54" Any Kind Of Future 02. 06'54" Moderne Maedchen 03. 08'52" Scheibenwischer 04. 07'35" Ape Walk 05. 08'51" Positive Vibrations 06. 09'07" Schwarzlichtbezirk 07. 08'14" Flux 08. 08'38" Dauerlutscher 09. 11'29" Veerus Knowledge Review: A new album here from a new group. And man, this came as a surprise!! I'll go by it track from track... Starts off Any Kind Of Future, which is a pretty brilliant track, consisting of very simple sounds, and a steady little melody with a great build-up. Reminds me a bit of older X-Dream tracks at times. Great start off. After that it's time for a very hard minimal track, with a somewhat annoying sample, which isn't too bad, but if it wasn't in there you sure as hell wouldn't miss it! Anyway, this pumps away with great bass. Track 3 continues in the same mould, minus the shitty sample. This one also had these hypnotic like sounds coming back from time to time, which these guys seem to like a lot, excellent track here. Track 4 starts off minimal also, but gets more funkier and steadier after a while. Track 5 is melodic time again, but still with that great progressive feel these guys blend in seamlessly. Track 6 starts off dark and hypnotic minimal kinda, but develops a great melody as it nears the end. Track 7 is more minimal again and funky. Great stuff also. Track 8 is more dark again and has these samples of some girl getting off ... hahaha very amusing. Not everyone's cup of tea I guess, but pretty good IMO. Track 9 rounds it all off with more relaxing and melodic sounds. Overall, this cd is very good. It's a great surprise to hear something so fresh coming from Global Trance Network for a change. This one qualifies as one of the better albums of 2001 in my opinion. Great stuff. 9/10 from me!! All right, this concludes the review (and my mail as well) :-)

protek
This CD is so generic. "Flux" got my attention a little. The first track is nice, very textbook. The rest is nothing note worthy! -Hank Novatekk, please be a bit more selective with your new artist choices!
Guest tonid[at]tonid[dot]net
There comes a day, very rarely, when one hears something and something happens. Just something amazing.. This is what happened to me when I heard this album. I didn't expect anything like it, just something mildly interesting. But I got shivers all over, I immediately went to www.psyshop.com and ordered it... that was about 10 minutes ago. I still can't understand what happened, I can't pinpoint what it is about this album that makes it so special, it just is. Fell in love at first sight... I don't know if this helps much as a review, but I just can't say anything more specific, as I'm still speechless... And it hurts that people, instead of reviewing or at least really listening to this album, are fighting about israeli or not israeli (look above)...
