Guest Mark
I love Day One, Its always in my bag. The sounds are very calming and the Pink Floyd Sample rocks my world, Its from The Wall. Starship Trippers is an average track, the beats and sounds are very similar to Day One but with less development, This track doesn;t lift my head. Guest Mindbender
Nomad - Day One / Spaceship Trippers Artist: Nomad Title: Day One / Spaceship Trippers Label: 3D Vision Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. Day One 02. Spaceship Trippers Review: Well, both tracks are definetly 3D Vision, no doubt about that. I find most 3D stuff mediocre to good, but Day One rocks me. It starts quite quickly with beat and bass line, which is quite funky, but nothing special. Then some unclear voice samples lead forward to quite a nice distorted synth rhythm with minimum 'melodies' (pitch alterations). With a fog horn, a new, short riff is introduced and the track gets more moving. Nice. More background sounds appear, generally distorted. At the end, there are two quieter pieces with a beautiful piano melody, which is really refreshing and is the climax to me. Unfortunately both these times are very, very short. Spaceship Trippers is to my ears very typical 3D: the beats, the power and the sounds and lack of anything that would make the track easy to recognise. As with Day One, we have descent work in pretty much all sectors, but like I said, there's nothing on this track to make this stand out from the mass. Some might like it, I think I've heard too much of it. Can't say it's bad though, but it needs something original. Overall I'm happy to have this release as I listen to Day One time to time. Guest Stormbringer
Well... it´s traditional 3D-Vision stuff so if you enjoy that sound you´ll probably like this ep too, but don´t expect too much! I had to listen to it just to remember how it sounded. Nothing fancy or original, just plain old 3D-Vision. Not that bad, but not a classic either. Guest woutski
Nothing in Spaceship trippers that stands out?? What about that insane synthline that enters in the final break? Awesome track. I think Day one is a bit cheesy though. Nomad rules!
