Compilation made by Dino Psaras should be good, but believe me it isn't, this album is simply weak. Starts with strange & weird track from Electric Tease (1/2 Quirk) intereseting idea, but this tracks could be much better. N-tropics, sometimes they can make very good tracks, but sometimes they can't, this time they've made rather poor one & boring. Next one is classic Etnica's "Robot Rebellion" everybody knows this track, for me it's one of the best from "Nitrox". The Cydonia's track is simply tragic, remake of older stuff, annoying & boring melody, absolutly crappy stuff. Next track from Synchro is average, nice bassline, good dynamics, but long way to "Elektrik" from "Behind The Scenes". Mix of Eat Statics "Critical Mass" is awesome, definetly the best sound on this album, everything is changing there; cool baslines, great transformation of styles (from 4/4 to breaks) lot of nice effects. After it Michael Khlbeckers project, as always, clear bassline, good job, but i know lot of better from him. Next track is average, a little funky & clubby, there are moments when it sounds good, but there are also moments when everything sounds not so intere sting. Last track is good, for those who like typical club trance, lot of melodies characteristic for that style, but it's a good work. Anyway this compilation is a little disapointing, I was expecting something much better, one great track (6), a few good (3 - well known, 7,9) 5/10. I like track 3,4,5 and 8 very much... don't like the last one, to much house influenced IMO. I like Bass Monster and as Jaminben said the 'tornado' tune is realy insane together with the groovy bass... this Cydonia track makes the crowd go kakakuku ... my favourite is Robot Rebellion (which is also my favourite on Nitrox)... and a very original cover , i like it... 7/10 for the compilation and 9/10 for Etnica-track and the cover Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Setsuko Posted March 15, 2002 Share Posted March 15, 2002 oh yeah , the Updata (Quirk) track is brilliant ... this compilation is a bit in the Kamaflage (dragonfly) style ... the tracks in Powder are made to sound smooth . i realy like this and can't understand why so many people dislike the atomic effort , ok this is not the normal atomic style but releasing the same sounding stuff every time (like 3DV) is boring ... once again i recommend to listen to this one , this ain't bad at all .
