    MELLER - "SPACEWALK"

    (Crotus Records)

After two studio albums out on famous labels such as AP Records and Tribal Vision Records, and beside thirty-six single released tracks - Crotus Records integrates itself into this row by releasing Mellers brand new artist studio album "Spacewalk".

The Meller guys aka Marco Scherer and Dj Mel demonstrate a solid and groovy-funky music collection of their contemporary stage of music impression and feeling. It is dirty, groovy and funky but also a crystal clear production line of the nowadays standards. The listener will experience a spacewalk through 10 previously unreleased tracks in a developed style of proggy psytrance.

It sounds refreshing & special and therefore it is the sound you been searching for on these big outdoor festival speakers where your body starts to shake and shiver while you dance to the groove of Meller.

    REVIEWS AND FEEDBACK:

Here comes a positive surprise… The new Czech progressive trance label called Tribal Vision Records is out with their first compilation. It is compiled by Slater & Schwa from the Czech Republic. On this compilation you will find some of the cream in progressive trance. With it you get a fat booklet where you can see pictures and read about the artists. It’s really rare to find such booklets in trance releases, so this was a pleasant surprise.

Oh. My. Fucking. God. I have a feeling this could be the best progressive release of the year. Not just this, but it could be one of the best CD’s I’ve heard in 2004. Debut release from new Czech label Tribal Vision, and compiled by DJ Slater, this album is a sheer dream. And by my reckoning, all but one of the tracks on here are belters.

    Artist: Various

    Title: Beat Port One

    Label: Jun Jam

    Date: 2001

    Track listing:

    01. 4'40" Der Eins Punkt : Juten Morjen Intro

    02. 8'48" Phonatic : Smooth groove

    03. 8'28" Twelve Monkies : Sleppless (dry version)

    04. 7'10" Vaishiyas : Gytaloey

    05. 7'56" Metapher : Knolle

    06. 8'01" Lo Max : Loewenzahn

    07. 8'48" Vaishiyas : Beatborg

    08. 7'47" Lo Max : Human Beings

    09. 9'12" Spectres : Fluid Energy

    10. 8'26" Bass Massaker : F.R.E.I.

    Review:

The latest compilation by jum jam rec. comes with a good

choice of psychdelic tracks with great variation. both "smooth groove" and

    "sleepless" hold finest

morning trance like paul van dyk and feuerhake and provide for positive mood.

"loewenzahn" by lomax is the technoid connection to the night-compatible part

of the compilation. characteristic is the very deep beat in combination with

fresh drum-sounds and an interesting erection of tension. "gytaloey" begins

minimalistic and beat oriented but with more and more incoming melodic and

psychedelic guitar patterns the track develops to a real smasher on the

dancefloor. the following "beatborg" goes straight forward holding a rocking

bassline and creaking synthsounds. "human beings" comes with a very

interesting arrangement and weird atmosphere and was made for brain

stimulation. both "fluid energy" and "f.r.e.i." hold distorted psycho strings

and go straight on with a non-stopable beat.

conclusion: "beat port one" comes with exclusively psychedelic-compatible

tracks and covers the complete spectrum from morning-to night-sound.

    recommendable.

favorites: "smooth groove" and "human beings"

  11. V/A - Devil Is A DJ

    Artist: Various

    Title: Devil Is A DJ

    Label: Hadshot

    Date: 2001

    Track listing:

    01. Biodegradable : Shamanic Bass

    02. Bufo And Process : Kulture Clash

    03. Praecox : Mechanicum

    04. Kino Oko : Koz Ajm Bed

    05. Triplex : Trinket

    06. Eqked : Heart Beat

    07. Ninja : Pirate Audio

    08. The Cracy Lions Cut : Hi Dave

    09. Ocheese : Inspectre

    Review:

with this compilation - arranged by yaniv - hadshot presents the probably most

dared cover of the last months and a varied mixture of music from the areas

full on, techno and downbeat. the tracks do not spare with interesting parts

and create a nice mood to listen or dance. with "koz ajm bed" kino oko added

a dancefloor burner. the tune concentrates on a triggered funk guitar,

underlaid with a driving beat and best arrangement. it grooves, rolls and

lets no leg stand still. the next hit is "hy dave" by the crazy lions cult..

the track rocks in finest full on manners strongly forward and whistles the

basses and sequences around the ears that it cracks. in addition, the

remaining tracks do not need to hide themselves; whether minimalistic, hard,

relaxed or dry.. each style is served with high-quality music.conclusion: a

successful compilation that brings lots of fun. favorites: (4!), (7), (8!)
