  1. This album is a very good example of how to create groovy full on that is not cheesy or annoying, it's got just the right balance.

On the downside the tracks are too much alike each other, not really much innovation or propositions, it's the classic example of an artists who has good material for an EP but makes and album.

  2. Most Psy labels and artist refuse the idea of selling individual tracks, they seem to want people to buy the 90% crap release, they've not realized that it just doesn't work anymore, instead they blame the current situation to mp3 pirates.

    Come on !! We need a www.PsyPort.com !!!!

  3. Wel then you give money to the providers not? Or do they offer the music for free and give the artist every cent???

12 euro for a good cd including shipping costs is a good price for new material... You have a nice disc that you have and put on years after. With copied cd's and mp3's the livespan isn't that long for me...

12 Euros when delivered in Europe, I live in Colombia, South America, so the transportation tag rises a lot, and I mean a lot. And when it arrives there is a 16% sales tax, and on top of that a 20% to 25% customs fee.

Anyone can sell MP3 online, the providers just offer that service, as a web developer I know it's effortless to put up a store, I don't know why labels don't put up their own stores, but as with any service, it''s the customers choice.

You can go to a restaurant and pay 40 Euros for a meal you can prepare yourself (with the expertise, knowledge and time) for about a quarter of that money.

  4. I would love to see PsyShop open up an Mp3 store and sell albums and tracks individually too, I'm not fond of piracy, but I won't give my money to transportation megacorporations and local politicians with taxes and customs fees, I give my money to the artists and the labels that supports them, nobody else.

That's why I always use Cytopia and Beatport, but their catalogs can't be compared to Psyshop.

  5. Very good album, it lands just in between psychedelic and progressive, just like Vibrasphere, but it has it's special flavor, Sun Control Species definitely is one of the progpsy artists to watch for, his past singles and remixes are very fine too.

Kick Me Shake Me and Here Comes The Titans are superb party tracks, and Spines has a very unique distinction, what instrument is the one that sounds all over the song ?? It sounds kind of indie, but I don't know ...

  6. Synth riffs, basslines, drums. Basically everything.

I see similarities between the way you approach rock and psy, of course there are tangible differences, but I find that people who like rock have a more open approach to the music they hear, they don't get annoyed by any hard sounds, or by a song being to long, that's why I want to make that experiment, to make a psy party at a rock place.

  7. You can convert people to the trance scene very easyally...just show them music all the time and they will be converted even if they dont like electronic music....i converted lots of my friends that were into rock in like a month  now they only hear trance, its addictive :clapping

Here in Colombia it's the same situation, it's very hard to get people into psy trance, and it's also a very conservative country, so I find some parallel with the situation described in Malasya.

Here in the city there is a group of 20 to 30 people that like psy trance, but no more than that, some friends have made a collective of psy trance djs and parties, they even organized a big event outside the city on an incredible place, but the people didn't showed up, and those who showed up just didn't got into the special vibe and style of a psy trance party.

But I agree with divine, it's easier to get people that liked rock into psy trance, because if you analyze it there's a lot of elements in common, more than with other genres like house or techno, psy trance in all its modalities has kind of a rock feeling, so me and my friends are planning to introduce rock people to psy trance, maybe playing in some rock night clubs that nowdays are playing electronica sometimes, but they play electro and house, and I know that rock people would like psy trance instead.

    We'll give it a try
