Can you recommend an Eat Static album? I've only heard the track "UFO over Trenchtown" which I loved - so fresh and groovy sounding...
Are they the same as Ozric Tentacles then too? I have several of the Ozric albums....
Healium! Eat Static was formed in 1989 when they was part of Ozric Tentacles! Merv Pepler like a drumer and Joie Hinton like a keyboardist. they toured in parallel with the Ozric Tentacles for several years until 1994, when they left the band to pursue Eat Static full-time!!!
Merv collaborated with Ed Wyne in the last two ozric's albums !

Well the 2006 was the year where i hear less trance music and more chill out ....
But i found three interestings albums:
Kox Box - Turn up.
Bus - Morebusinesslinkyouthere.
Compilation Black - Solstice records.
In the chill side a lot of music of Backroom beats , Interchill , Ultimae , LSD, Chill Code, C.O.R.N and others ......

Ocean Fire in "Arcana" Compilation is great too!

Yes!!!!! Organic sounds!! Hardware sounds!! sounds that you can hear and feel more in your body!!! and i miss music with spirit , feeling, energy! and complexity!! no music for be famous ......

Cyclotron!! is a great album!! timeless music!! i love the dark tech sound in this album!! the tracks in the flying rhino compilations are great too!
The new stuff sounds killer in the audio engine!! but they lost the feeling!! very comercial!!

Geez... i see all this stuff about all their releases... noone mentioned the dionysiac release... easily a favourite realease.... d'n'b/goa... and even though lots hated it.... I loved critical mass.... it just had this funky vibe to it..... also, kalika was a neat one (can remember if it was a release or part of a compo)....

So next week it's a new year! 2007 is just around the corner & I'm sure a lot of music will be released some bad some good some god damn awful some brilliant stuff!
But how do you think this scene will progress in the next year? Will we see a change or is it going to be more of the same!
Which sub genre do you think will release the best albums?

Which artist do you know has some great stuff in the pipeline?
oh & for those that say 2007 will be 100% crap & that no modern music can compare to the oldschool sound.....

Oh I don't mind Acid tech or trance, don't worry!
And I don't think the MWNN is that bad, it's just not as outstanding like the Eat Static tracks on the Implant album so I was a bit dissapointed. But in general I like MWNN's stuff a lot. Gonna check out the Abduction and Epsylun albums if I can.Implant is clasic album !! for a collectors of psychedelic music!!

Dealing with Demons is one of the best tracks ever, amazing.
If you want to know what he is up to these days check out this site. They don´t update it much, aleast they did it a couple of months ago.
He has made alot of good music beside the Process stuff, check out Mystery School Ensemble.
I´ve herd something about a compilation of his collaborations, but no release date.
Hopefully there will be some new trancetracks from him in the future.

I was listening the "One Drop or two album" two weeks ago after of two years ! and yes the album is amazing ! Timeless music!!
The superior technology is nice too ! more funky tech staff of course "psychedelic"
We need more music like this today !

Hello Tatsu the Abduction , Implant and Epsylon albums are in the same direction ....... The original Bony Incus track is more Acid tech trance that Goa ..... anyway a like the remix of mwnn....Found another Eat Static track in my collection: Bony Incus on Distance To Goa 4 and wasn't too impressed by it. Compared to the stuff on Implant it sounds like standart old-school goa but nothing more. Just found out now that it's the WMNN remix so maybe that's why it's not that impressive.

) THEY MAKE THE ALBUMS FOR HOME LISTENING! NO FOR DANCE FLOORS!! OR DJS I SAW THEM PLAY THE LAST YEAR AND WAS AMAZING! AT REAL LIVE ACT NO JUST A GUY WITH A LAPTOP WITH CONTROL MIDI .... THEY MAKE THE DIFERRENCE BETWEEN THE STUDIO ALBUMS AN THE LIVE EXPERIENCE!! ABSOLUTE CRUNCHY SOUND!! MAYBE THEIR OLD ALBUMS DON´T HAVE THE "CRYSTAL" SOUND ALL THE NEW FACILITIES TECHNOLGYS THAT HAVE THE NEW PRODUCTIONS BUT THEIR MUSIC HAVE REAL PSYCHEDELIC AND ORGANIC VIBES! AND ALWAYS ADVANCED TO THEIR TIME FUSING DIFERENTS STYLES LIKE TRANCE , TECHNO, ELECTRO ........... FOR EXAMPLE THE ALIEN EPS....

It came from Star Trek 2,we liked it 'cos it fits our music...crackly,buzzy,fizzing stuff that just gets hurtled at you to digest...
