1. Mubali's style is definitely unique !!!! Most darkpsy is too mental for me, but Greg has the ability to throw the right bit of funkiness into the mix that makes it the first psytrance you could grind to !!

With his trademark top hat and loads of energy, it's a joy to see him live too, not to mention being a down-to-earth and fun person to hang out with:

Sleep, Dream & Wakefulness - we are constantly moving between these three

states of consciousness each day. But within the material and subjective existence

we call reality, rarely do we allow the body and mind to reach the dimension that

underlies as well as transcends these three states.

Literally translated from Sanskrit as "the fourth", TURIYA is the pure and most

exalted state of consciousness, the merging with the supreme consciousness, the

loss of ahamkara (ego), the state of perfect trance.

We welcome you to an evening of trance dance, in communion with friends,

nature and the sound of psychedelic trance.

    featuring:

:: ANKUR :: (Noise Poison Records :: Berlin, Germany)

DJ Ankur's sets have been a staple diet for European psytrance fans for the past

few years. He is also a budding producer with tracks released on Digital Distortion

Records and Evil Knevil Records. Gear up for an extended set of nighttime

    blasters.

:: WICHDOKTA :: (Full Circle : Phoenix Family :: San Francisco CA)

A pioneering force on the west coast psytrance scene, the Wichdokta always

seems to have his finger on the pulse of the crowd. His sets are something of a

spectacle to witness - amazing energy and sinister music go hand in hand to give

you the ride of your life on the dancefloor.

  3. i still think there's too many fake tears going on at various boards when someone dies...

How do you know they are fake? Why would anyone post fake tears for someone's death?

I feel for the ones left behind but i do not post long poems to people i never ever met in my life.  I do not tell people what to do or what to feel but i do say what i think.

Exactly my point, don't do anything if you don't feel anything. You have the option to not open this thread if you don't like to see people express their grief. But why come in here purposely and say "please do not start the hysteria here too"? People should be free to post whatever they feel about this very sad incident.

I'm not angry, i just thought it was very insensitive of you to say what you did - it's a death that people are "hysterical" about, and that too of a a very very popular artist.

    :(

  4. I love the way people pass judgement without knowing anything.

Deja-Vu a label that released Zolod's music, they're not his family - but it's nice that they're trying to do something for the family. If they're asking for money, then there must be a need.

And we don't know ANYTHING about why Zolod committed suicide ( and i personally am not interested in the gossipy stuff anyway). All i know is that Zolod made some amazing music, and i personally was deeply touched by it, and that is more than i can say even for some people i know personally. Grief has nothing to do with actually having met someone.

The tsunami comparison is just absurd, there is absolutely no connection - i understand your point, but that was the worst comparison you could have given. Just because there was no psynews thread with people crying, you assume no one felt sadness when 300,000 people died in a day - maybe you didn't read the news and the record number of donations that went to the recovery (including proceeds from a special 3-CD psytrance compilation, which i proudly bought besides donating cash to a non-profit group in india).

It makes every sense to have this thread coz Zolod was a core part of what this website is about. I don't see why someone who loved someone's music shouldn't be sad that he died. If there is a lot of people crying, it only shows the artist's popularity.

If you don't feel anything about the artist or the death, feel free to ignore the post - why sit at your computer and give unsolicited advice about something that you're not interested in? It's quite insulting to call this "mass hysteria" and tell someone who is sad about a loss to not cry - i don't think anyone's pretending to be sad or has anything to gain from posting their feelings, it's just an open expression of grief. Very simple, no?

  6. Electric univers- the prayer

    try this one..

    262250

He he....pretty close, but not the one :(

The one i'm looking for has a male voice, and no lyrics - just the improvization of the cadence. The bassline is also not the goa style, but the newer - damn, i wish i could think of an artist to compare with.

    Thanks for the suggestion, though.

  7. Is it full on or ambient/chill out?

    261678

Oh, very full-on !! That's the best part about it :)

Very good production, not your std. morning full-on with cheesy breakdowns, or the standard dark stuff with mental noises/screams.

Thanks insejn.. i was beginning to give up hope :(

  8. Anyone can identify this for me? It's been stuck in my head for the last week, and i can't seem to remember which track it was, i just remember listening to it a few times last year. Here's what i know:

    1) It is track 4 on a compilation released in 2004 - before august.

    2) Pretty dark, but not mental dark - it's quite happy but powerful dark. I can't compare to any artist at this point.

    3) The singing starts quite late in the track, and there's almost no other breakdowns or samples in the track.

    4) The singing i'm talking about is the indian raga style singing - A deep male voice simply goes "aaaa....." with the pitch trembling and rising and falling.... he he, i know it sounds funny, but that's the best description i can give.

    Please help. Thanks !!
