    I'd say yes, it's more psy than it's another genre. But Juno is pretty uncategorizable.

    i totally agree: navras is absolutely mindblowing

    i must say that almost everything juno reactor did is a masterpiece.

    it´s a shame that very few djs play music like this anymore!

    there are only 2 tracks on "transmissions" and maybe pistolero i cannot really connect to, but i very much recommend everything on the album "beyond the infinite" which is timeless music...

    this is like classical music - juno reactor (unlike 99,9999...% of todays psychedelic trance) will still be listened to in a hundred years, i believe

    nice to see someone elese doing academic research on our culture!!!

    good luck with your empirical studies!

    i myself just wrote my diploma thesis about the global psychedelic trance scene, psychedelic culture, mysticism, postmodernity, globalisation, resistance etc.

    it´s written in german.

     

    the approach is manifold, as the content is very pluralist:

    -sociological

    -psychological

    -political

    -paedagogical

    -epistemological

    I like every track (being it goa-trance, full-on, progressive and so forth) that tells a story. It's always been more about feelings and stories than some specific set of sounds for me.

    i discover deep and exciting universes in every style (psychedelic, euphoric, massive-soundtracklike, industrial, dreamy, "never-ending", trashy-punky powertrance, twisted etc. )

    AS LONG AS IT IS PSYCHEDELIC!!!

     

    allways remember: goa/ psychedelic trance music is about inducing a psychedelic state of consciousness, i.e. music for the brain/ mental/ heart/ stomach/ chakras etc. that takes you away into another dimension

    it´s NOT only music for the body/ legs/ funk-grooviness (if it´s the only content)

     

    THIS IS PSYCHEDELIC music NOT TECHNO/ CLUBMUSIC/ "NORMAL"/ DISCO...
