  1. Thanks for the support guys. Yes, one must make a fair bit of money to pay for the club, artists, deco, airplanes, etc. We actually lost money. :( And our party didn't end at 6, but at 8. :) Grapes of Wrath were added to the line-up about one month ago, sorry it wasn't so from the start. Their live set was absolutely wicked, probably the best set I have ever heard! Hopefully see you at the next one.

  2. Goannes, hi, nice to see you here! Thanks for wishing us luck, I think it will be a blast too!

alexandar: I didn't decide on the line-up, I would not myself have chosen Exaile. And trust me, London has many more, more "commercial" live-acts coming, most of it is fluffy fluffy, la la, or a bit in between. And the gig is not for commercial purposes, though we wouldn't mind making a profit, having worked since December, very hard, on this event. We are actually fearing loosing money, as we haven't sold many tickets. This is a big event, a lot can be lost if not enough visitors come.

overdose: Well, you have a point. However, we don't have the hardtrance/commercial trance, whatever that Antiworld has. We have proper drum 'n bass, proper breakbeat, proper techno. I haven't found it too bad at Antiworld. I used to think like you, but am starting to see we are all people who like electronic music, and it's kind of good to cross boundaries. You know John Lennon, "Imagine a world with no borders"? We will see whether it will be a problem. At least we will mainly attract lovers of _dark_ psytrance to the main room.

    Peace.

  3. dec0ding, good question. Well, I didn't decide the line-up, it was decided before I became heavily involved in this project. I agree it's a bit weird to have them together. I would have chosen someone like Digital Talk to warm up the party, much of their stuff is more chilled out now than some years ago, and maybe Naked Tourist or Meteloids as well. On the other hand, it is good to have a bit of balance and not only have dark, very trippy psy-trance, as it is a fact that not everyone there will like it. Some people will like Exaile, some people will like GOW and Kindzadza.

  4. Hi guys! I am back on this forum after some years of being away. Dunno if anyone remembers me? Anyways, we are now throwing a massive party in London, and for those who dislike AntiWorld, I think you will find our party different. ;) Enjoy...

  5. Yes, this EP is NICE! When I first heard it in a record store, I thought, wow,

this is really some new sound. But maybe it wasn't so new compared to other

semi-minimal releases, dunno. "Nowhere" is more progressive in my opinion.

Very nice bassline and soundscape. Autopilot is a bit slower, but also very

good. I don't have a favorite, I like both tracks!

  6. Well, he said the MUSIC was not low quality, only the mastering. But then

again, if the producer of the music is good, it shouldn't sound decidedly bad

    without mastering.

  7. Great, modern, professional sound! The best for me are: 1,4,5,7. 8 and 9 are

also good, I just had to get used to them. So, if you want to check out a

great example of where psytrance is going, check this out! Yes, WAY TO GO

    SKAZI!

  8. I don't find the first track minimal at all, but full-on. And I like it a lot!

I had to get used to it, but now I like it. Second track is all great, except

for the bass-line. It's as if the track is full-on, but the bass-line is

minimal, it's hard to explain, but the sounds used in this one are good, a bit

like their other track "Plastic Zeus", where the sounds mysteriously move from

one channel to the other. Track 3 by Skazi is good, one of his better tracks.

Track 4 I like, although it is a little repetitive. The bass-line is killer,

very floaty/oscillating. Track 5 is minimalistic and repetitive, which I don't

like. Track 6 is quite good (on the verge of being cheesy though. The sample

goes, "Proteins are the targets of most drugs. If you take aspirin, it's a

protein in your body. When someone takes Viagra, it's affecting a protein in

their body.") Track 7 is very groovy and funky, and I like it. Good for

morning times. Track 8 is also a morning track, a bit more laid back. An

average track. I would recommend people to buy this compilation, as I really

like the first 4 tracks and find them fresh and full-on. Boom!

  9. This is a really nice album, one that I am very happy I bought. At first I

thought it was a bit boring, especially tracks like #2 and #5. A bit minimal,

because the bassline is so pervasive. But after hearing these two tracks while

coming down from some mushrooms, I thought they were great. Sounds swirling

around. Track #2 is more playing with the percussion, which is ok too. The one

track which I like the least is #8. It might be good in late morning hours

because of it's weirdness. If you like crazy psytrance with a phat groove, get

    this one!

  10. Supernice Parasense! Exactly what we need. More of those high band pass filter

sounds (?) weaving up and down in between the bass, kick and highs! Looking

forward to it, and release it on vinyl please!

    PLUR and bom.

  11. Hux Flux - Lex Rex Perplex / ErrorHead

    Posted Image

    Artist: Hux Flux

Title: Lex Rex Perplex / ErrorHead

    Label: Spiral Trax

    Date: 2000

    Track listing:

    01. 09'05" Lex Rex Perplex

    02. 07'50" ErrorHead

    Review:

This EP is not really the same style as "Cryptic Crunch," it is not as dark.

It is a bit closer to the sound of their amazing track "Idiot." Side A ("Lex

Rex Perplex") is a nice track with a good bassline and different sounds and

riffs being introduced as the track progresses. There's a kind of funny

break in the middle with some cartoon-like sounds. I don't get what the

sample "There's no question about that" is supposed to mean though. Average

Kind of pointless in my opinion. 9/10. The B side ("Errorhead") is another

good track, a little bit more repetitive. In the middle of it, a simple

melody is introduced, but it works very well. The track then suddenly quiets

down and we hear this melody by itself. Then the tracks continues, with the

melody being snipped into pieces, hard to explain, but sounds good. 8/10. If

you like the Hux Flux sound, you will definitely like this EP!

  12. I don't have this album yet, I haven't seen it anywhere, but I must say that

this is the only album I have REALLY looked forward to. I have their three

previous tracks: "The Open Sphere" from Destination 8, and then "Nowhere" and

"Autopilot" from their EP on Transient. These guys came before Atmos, and if

you listen to the sound in these three tracks you will realize that this is

probably where Atmos got inspiration from. I hope I get this album soon...

  13. I don't have this album, but I can tell you that on CD 2 there must be at least

two good tracks. In Sect: Slammer is a great track. It really goes into your

brain. Also, Eternal Basement: Taking Place In You is not a bad track either.
