As soon as I get my credit card back I am going to buy ableton live, but do you think it would be more worth it to buy 5 over version 4?
I found a website with a midi controller and version 4 for the same price as version five, I think the midi controller would be very useful.
I've only used the demo version of 4 so far and absolutely love it, it's exactly what I've been looking for in audio software, confusing at first but the tutorials explained it and it's so easy and simple

I also love Ozric very much, I need to check out more of their stuff but I really really like the hidden step, so beautiful and entrancing, it teleports me to another world with its majestic frequencies.

I will never forget the day when I put Shulman - In Search of a Meaningful Moment into the CD player after an eventful night at the old 'ritual campground' only to have my friends look around for the birds. Later when they were in a bit clearer state of mind we went on a hike through the woods while I held the boombox in my hands with the music still playing.
You might like ambient as well, check out the stream on radioio (radioio.com/radioioambient.php) and see if that catches your attention

I highly recommend the Shambhala music festival located in the beautiful interior of British Columbia. It's not all psytrance, they try to have a good variety of talented artists, you would probably really enjoy the Inna Sancdom. This is an image from Lorin Bassnectars set in the Fractal Forest
