“Mentalism” is a collaboration of twisted style psychedelic trance composers from California and beyond. Compiled by C.L. Martin (Bodhisattva 13:20) and Tom Gooch (Arahat) in order to help delve deep into the mind and intensify the entire spectrum of energy, this comp is one-of-a-kind mental sorcery. The music contained within will help to crack the code of the psyche, and move you to the next level, so that we may continue to regain balance with the natural world. Artists that have contributed to this work hail from India, Russia, Japan, Switzerland, and California, and all are experienced globetrotters soaking in and translating the global psy-vibe to please ears and expand minds. This compilation is a sound experiment; listen carefully to all frequency combinations and sequences, as they are all equally important, converging into one undefinable but awe-inspiring message you will be sure to contemplate in all states of consciousness. Psycircle is originally an event crew from San Diego, which was formed in 2001 by C.L. Martin and Tom Gooch. Dedicated to promoting outdoor psy scene, Psycircle has brought together many individuals from North America, including musicians and DJs that have become psytrance producers. A number of these individuals have contributed to Psycircle events. This compilation is the second release of Psycircle as a label, representing the psychedelic sound So-Cal style.
Geomagnetic.tv was established in the summer of 2001. Their first major international release is the legendary DVD project “MAGNUS” geodvd001. Since then the label has grown into a full fledged major electronic music and media label. Based in San Francisco and focusing mostly on music and visual related projects, you can expect to see lots more cutting edge releases on the way from this award winning crew! Thee Olde Ones is Frost Raven's 3rd full length release, and his newest full power, genre defying, ancient future musical offering that trancends the definition album. Taste deep progressive, dirty electro, funky techno, hard psycedelic grooves, full on Goa and even 4x4 dubstep! Frost Raven is the solo project of Dustin Musser, making waves in the San Francisco Bay Area’s whirling pool of talented electronic producers. With a background in post production audio and music theory, Dustin Musser is a very well versed producer. In 2005 Frost Raven completed his first full album "Desert Walker" a multi-genre project including downtempo, old-school goa, and psy-trance. The album was released on the web through the digital label INgrooves. Towards the end of 2008 marked Frost Raven's second album titled "Star Muse" which was released on the Digital Drugs Coalition label. This is the album that has gotten him noticed and many bookings. His approach to psychedelic trance made for a wild ride. Mixing electro and progressive elements together for a sweet entanglement of bliss and energy. After 4 years in England, he decided to come back to France and started DJing on the French stage. In 2006 Fabry signed with ETC… (epidemictrancecorp.com) sharing the stage with and shared the stage with Bizzare-Contact/Time-Lock/Ananda-Shake/Hyper Frequencies/... and after many years as a dj , Fabry felt inspired to create his own tracks under the project name “Biokinetix”, in less then 1 year later his present his first live at the (Regular) Morphonic-records.com. In the end of 2008 his doing is first released on Geomagnetic.rec (usa) with the tune Crystal-Activity. Mindstorm is his solo live act where Spook performs a unique set of VJ/DJ material and original music that melt the audio video boarders in new visionary ways using a unique blend of 3D animation and live synchronized FX visuals. In 1997, Spook as the co-founder of the award winning digital production studio Minds Eye Media in San Francisco, released his first platinum enhanced CD “One More Time” by The Real McCoy of Arista Records, that Billboard Magazine called “awesome in the true sense of the word.” His next award winning project featured the first all digital music video made for a major label “Beyond” by Young American Primitive of Geffen/Universal, that premiered at the RESFest in 1997, played on MTV’s AMP and won the 1998 World Animation Celebration 1st place Music Video Award. Over the years Spook has collaborated with top talents such as Joe Satriani, The Allman Brothers, Elton John and many more. Spook began his DJ/VJ career at the Burning Man Festival in 1998. Nathan was one of the first certified Alias teachers of the Oscar Winning 3D program Maya, presenting his classes at the Academy of Art University, top industry trade shows and conferences. He is the co-writer of the first bestselling Maya book,¬ “Maya 3D Character Animation” (1999 New Riders/Pearsons). Dr. Spook’s unique ways of combining cutting edge sound and visuals have benefited from a wide lens of exposure and evolved into a new level of psychedelic performance art. As a result of becoming more professional and skilled in music composing, Ilya has changed his project name to Animalis since October 2007. The tunefulness, power, energy and quality of his music as well as its unique style distinguish him from other Russian Psytrance artists. That is his music determines morning mood and hot night. In April 2007 he began to perform in Moscow trance events with Live and Dj sets. That year Ilya became the official resident the Moscow promo group "Synthetic Dreams Promotion". Since this time he played in countless trance events, shared the stage with well known psytrance artists. In June 2008 he joined forces with the label ON THE MOVE MUSIC, based in USA. And has released his first EP "Star Galaxy". In September 2008 he became official resident the PLANET B.E.N. records, based in Germany. Where he has released second EP "Perfect Effect". Last Men Standing and Spun Records proudly present a landmark achievement in fusion psychedelic electo techno trance. LMS are Nyimo Nijman and Levin Karcher a dynamic duo who have skyrocketed to fame, fortune!
Nyimo Nijman who is known for his activity as Last Men Standing, also known as Magnasonic, was born 1987 in Amsterdam, Holland. He grew up with piano lessons and school music classes. His mother knew Riktam’s mother and his older brother knew Shanti and Riktam. Thus, Nyimo fell into the laps of the growling mad juveniles. Then he started visiting Ibiza every summer. Back and forth until he was seven. After which he continued going to school in Ibiza with his partner in crime Levin. It was there that he began Dj’ing with only 12 at the one of the most famous club, the Blue Rose. Since then he has been playing in clubs and parties around the Island. His great inspirations are the original crusaders GMS, Shanti, Buschman, Poli, Wrecked Machines.
Right after his Schooling with 16 bought a Pc and began producing sound. In 2004 Nyimo attended a school of sound engineering. With high-school friend Levin he built Bulldog Studios with a G5 and Logic Pro.
Levin Karcher was born in Germany in 1986 and moved to Ibiza in 1988. He started Dj'ing 2002 at the young age of 16. And was producing music a year later. In the beginning it was only a hobby, not as profession. He went to their and half year sound engineering school to further his passion. After which he Dj'd in France, Germany and Spain. He likes simple and progressive trance, but of high production value.
Levin has been a resident Dj at the Namaste trance events since 2001, at the full moon events /campo parties and was Dj’ing in 2005 at the Spunout In Ibiza events at Club Privilege.
Besides working on a new album the two youngsters are also working on several side projects. Namely Dub Dealers with ambient chill out vibrations and some new tunes in the minimal and electro department. Their careers have taken them form parties in Amsterdam to Barcelona and countless clubs in Ibiza like Eden. Sumuum, all Full Moon events and many other open air parties and Namaste.
Bulldog studios have shown themselves to be the promising new talents on the horizon of the prestigious Ibiza label. When suddenly appearing to quell what might have turned into a riotous robotic revolution the Mesmerizer appears and announced that everyone is Going To Have Fun! The whole city becomes one synchronized Digital Sound Project with the code name K.O.R.N. (Kinetic Orbiting Reactive Navigator). The projects goal to create a deep space multi dimensional Voyager and E-Fact gathering platform dubbed Crazy Diamond that will essentially set up a semi permanent base on the dark side of the moon and create a interdimensional portal and we wish you were here for the opening party! The latest from composer/producer genius and virtuoso guitarist KALI is an amazing groundbreaking masterpiece of beautiful compositions for traditional instruments playing dance-floor styled jams. From beginning to end each carefully crafted journey builds and flows with florid guitars, thick basses, crystal clear drums and lots of rich sampling and analog synthesizers. What is remarkable is how the cinematic drama and pathos of harmony and counterpoint can fit so naturally within BPM conscious house and trance structures. The bright clarity and unabashed joyousness of "Gelatin Coated" and "Dose 1 or 2 pills" express a wonderful feel good vibe while "No. 284" and "100" get downright tribal with wild percussion and buzzing Moog basses. The first single "Pills" features a delicious sexual interplay between an aggressive and decidedly male electric guitar, and a languid female voice, getting quite erotic as the two dance together. The whole album creates a dramatic journey through ethereal wonderlands of delicious sounds and textures.
Kali’s latest offering is the product of his live electronica ensemble. Originally known as “Drink & Food” and now flaying under his own banner as KALI, this group of amazing musicians have made a passionate dedication to playing modern dance-floor styles as an ensemble. Their rare live sets of House, Trance, and Drum & Bass, mixed live, with plenty of old school real time DUB, leave audiences amazed and bewildered. Kali, “One day it occurred to me that there were things a DJ could do that were so much better than what a band does and yet the opposite was also true. I wanted to build an ensemble of players and machines which together could provide the hypnotic, powerful, and seamless transcendence of a really good DJ experience while also having the excitement and personality you get from a group of dynamic performers. Thus I embarked on my journey to create a really dramatically compelling dance ensemble which embraces modern styles.
Artist Profile
As a classically trained musician Kali learned to read music at the age of 8. He was playing in jazz combos doing be-bop and standards by the age of 13, professionally at 17. Kali studied jazz extensively with Rick Messina. Kali attended the Royal College of Music in London where he studied with Jakob Lindberg, and the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel Switzerland, where he studied with Hopkinson Smith and Eugen Dombois. Kali is an expert in Baroque music and has recorded the suites for lute in C minor and E major by J. S. Bach, and major pieces by Francisco Tarrega and Matteo Carcassi. Kali has given solo recitals in London, France, and Switzerland and has played live on the radio in California and France. Kali has recorded original music in many styles from dub to hip hop to electronica to progressive as well as his own unique creation "Swamp Sound System" a blend of blues dub and electronics with a cinematic americana flavor. Kali has recorded & played all over the United States with many groups including: Swamp Sound System, Drink & Food, Sharkbait, Mr. Lucky, Supertroll, Alter Ego, Funk Dub Division, and President’s Breakfast.
Bass Star Records formed in summer of 2007 and is focused primarily on breaks, dub step, electro house and down tekno grooves. Expect lots of wild unpredictable new cuts coming from this phatty side project from Geomagnetic Records Label Group.

Salvador, aka Dj Salva, of Spanish origin, was born in Paris in May 1978. He got to know more about electronic music in Galicia (Spain) at an early age and he has always been keen on music, night life and preparing events. He played electric guitar and after this "rock period" he started on learning dj'ing and electronic music. Actually, he developed his dj skills quite quickly and began to mix in many Spanish clubs, thanks to 2 friends of his, a couple of techno/hardhouse dj's (Manry y Javito), who met every summer in Spain. Artists such as Infected Mushroom, Total eclipse, Astral projection, Antidote got him into fusing Nu nrg / Hard trance / Hard house, listening to Transkypet vinyl sets of DJS Olive, Seb, Randy Exess, Kid Cannonball. He discovered artists such as, Weirdo, OD404, Organ Donors BK, Nick Sentience, Lab 4 and one of his favourite djs, Mark Sinclair, who really impressed him. For his “MagicFrequency” and Nephentes parties, he always chose unusual spots and booked many dj's and artists like, Phatmatix, Silicon Sound, Triskell, Audialize, Life Extension, Naya, Olive, Seb, Ananda, Jessy, Polyphème, Psychotrop, Senix.. Salva is well known for his "dynamic" dj sets, his special technical mixing and for his "crazy versus". Salva has been involved in psytrance development for over 10 years djing, producing events and live acts. He played in Spain, France, Belgium, Chili and mainly around Paris, alongside other established artists such as Jaia, Pop stream, Dado, Audialize, Silicon sound, Talamasca, Highlight-Tribe, GBU, Domestic, Bamboo Forest, GMS, Protoculture, Audiotec, DNA, Oracle, Inner Action, , Hujaboy, Scorb and many others... In spite of that, he has always wished to mix and play his own music. In 2005, he started his own music project, under the name of KINESIS. Todays, he's also working on a project with dj Naya, called CRYING FREEMEN, and with friends: CRYSTAL NETWORK and NORTHERN LIGHTS.
