    shpongle - nothing lasts

pink floyd - wish you were here

    turbonegro - apocalypse dudes

  2. Shpongle uses samples? What?!? Say it isn't so!  ;)  ;)

    of course it is true.

would doubt nothing lasts has any big samples, it sounds really fresh. but their is two big intro-samples in "divine moments of truth"(sample-CD) and "around the world in a tea daze"(a two minute-flamenco-intro-clip from Paco De Lucia - Introduccion Y Pantomima).

but we've already had this discussion in this forum. so please dont make anything of this and keep being blowned by nothing lasts instead. :)

  3. I can barely wait. This album deserves to be heard from the original CD and i have to get some aural enhancers as well.

Just need to get all the family off the house and enjoy this one to the fullest.

same here. :) ive had it on the computer for five days but i want it in my hands, and be played at a good audio-equipment. we're suckers!

  4. But seriously, I just. Can't. Wait. To get my claws on this one... I NEED it... I'm starting to rip the wallpaper off my walls soon.

A swedish shop states the release date to be 05.13 BTW... I really hope they're correct :)

oh. im from sweden. which store?

  5. I think it looks fine. Hopefully the whole album is as electronic (please, no flamenco samples!) as the cover!

    250697[/snapback]

i would love some flamenco-parts. but not hole samples thankyou :)

  6. especially the up-cuted sounds and the up-cuted woman-voices in the middle. its genius! its so beautiful melodies and rhythms that every muscle in my body is being tensed.

and the clubby latino-finish is perfect. in a comical way :)

but its good that simon splited the song in three parts. so that people can seperate their "beija flor"-opinions in a functional way :D

  7. WTF are you talking about.

I love Goa which is my favorite music style.

I also love Warp records and i have full discography from AFX,BOC,Ae,Miracalix,LFO,Nightmares on Wax,Plaid,Richard Devine(Come to Daddy rmx  ;) ) and a lot of compilations and remixes.

    So you see,things are different.

    you are an exception. :P

  8. You don't know if they do have an agreement or not.

But the main issue is that I can't see any similarities, or at least can't find the correct track. Where is it?

its not on the site. i just posted the site if you wanted to know more about paco, or at least take a look at his discography :) ..

i can send you the song if you want. my icq is 12992685, msn: gusc@home.se

  9. I prefere Tales of the Inexpressible. But then again I love world music too. The Brazilian stuff is a bit dodgy when im not fried, and Room 23 is terrible. That track is interfering on some damn good music! Around the World in A Tea Daze is, in my opinion, very much underated. This track blows my mind everytime. It borrows from so many different genres and succeeds in blending it all toegther so well. But then again I love hindu music, so that might play a factor.

i hope you are aware that the two minute-introduction in "around the world in a tea daze" is taken right off the bottom by one of the most famous and legended flamenco-guitarists PACO DE LUCIA (he has realesed music in 40 years, so dont come with any bshit about "doesnt matter".. he is an ICON in world music).

download it and you will notice.

and even I, who is posting this reply, are a great fan of shpongle in all ways and i cant describe how totally moved i am emotionally by their music. i cant wait for the 3rd album. and i know im going to be thrilled by it. i just know it.

but i also know, that i am going to be a little dissapointed if simons steals more minutes from this great man. couldnt he just call him and ask him come to his studio and work out a song together?

but hey, like i said, i love them. totally. my alltimefavoriteband in electronic music.
