Audiopathik and Plankton will make you stutter after being exposed the initial prescription. Cerebral Factory kicks out a unique batch of goods with Punition Astrale. Tricossoma asserts that this is a Walking Trip so no sitting down! Psychoz determines that his Precious Hallucinations don’t actually require a cure! MMC agrees that the human race is definitely a Galactic Trasher. To mix up all these remedies into a carefully measured concoction we now get to go Digital Dimensions and seek the Alquimist. Psy Cut Fingers brings us back to Earth landing deep in the Indian jungle with Bombay Fx. Seth is not finished yet and declares that everyone Must Play! Elemental is tripping hard on all the Colors and Lights until Fabiuz announces it’s a 555… time to go folks! Its been a whole weekend already! =-) Tricossoma has been creating a frenzy on the dance floor since his first release back in 2006. Though his tracks are hard to find, each one is a guaranteed trip! Luis Palma was born in Serpa(Portugal) in 1981 and he's AKA Tricossoma. He lived in Serpa till he was 22, he then moved to Tomar in 2004. It was in Tomar that he came in contact with Fruity loops/ Cubase / Ableton everything he needed to produce electronic music. He always liked electronic music, ever since he heard it for the first time. Since then he became particularly interested in Psychedelic Trance. Some time later he developed his own technics resulting in his first released track "Voices From Darkness" which came out November 2006 in the compilation VA-Digital Drugs-Vol1 by Geomagnetic Recs. Released in 2009, his 5 track Digital EP "Psychosomatic Reorder" that will redefine your idea of rippin’ night time trance has been causing mass hysteria and his eagerly anticipated debut album coming on Digital Drugs and GeoMagnetic Darkstar Records sometime in 2010. Digital Drugs is a coalition of psychedelic trance artists from around the globe who believe that digital art + music are the purest form of getting high. expect unique, fresh + truly out of this world productions from this hot posse !!

Salvador, aka Dj Salva, of Spanish origin, was born in Paris in May 1978. He got to know more about electronic music in Galicia (Spain) at an early age and he has always been keen on music, night life and preparing events. He played electric guitar and after this "rock period" he started on learning dj'ing and electronic music. Actually, he developed his dj skills quite quickly and began to mix in many Spanish clubs, thanks to 2 friends of his, a couple of techno/hardhouse dj's (Manry y Javito), who met every summer in Spain. Artists such as Infected Mushroom, Total eclipse, Astral projection, Antidote got him into fusing Nu nrg / Hard trance / Hard house, listening to Transkypet vinyl sets of DJS Olive, Seb, Randy Exess, Kid Cannonball. He discovered artists such as, Weirdo, OD404, Organ Donors BK, Nick Sentience, Lab 4 and one of his favourite djs, Mark Sinclair, who really impressed him. For his “MagicFrequency” and Nephentes parties, he always chose unusual spots and booked many dj's and artists like, Phatmatix, Silicon Sound, Triskell, Audialize, Life Extension, Naya, Olive, Seb, Ananda, Jessy, Polyphème, Psychotrop, Senix.. Salva is well known for his "dynamic" dj sets, his special technical mixing and for his "crazy versus". Salva has been involved in psytrance development for over 10 years djing, producing events and live acts. He played in Spain, France, Belgium, Chili and mainly around Paris, alongside big artists such as Jaia, Pop stream, Dado, Audialize, Silicon sound, Talamasca, Highlight-Tribe, GBU, Domestic, Bamboo Forest, GMS, Protoculture, Audiotec, DNA, Oracle, Inner Action, , Hujaboy, Scorb and many others... In spite of that, he has always wished to mix and play his own music. In 2005, he started his own music project, under the name of KINESIS. Todays, he's also working on a project with dj Naya, called CRYING FREEMEN, and with friends: CRYSTAL NETWORK and NORTHERN LIGHTS.

Ectima is a progressive tech trance project created by Dalibor Delic and Nikola Kozic. The dynamic duo started their collaboration in the year 2004. Since early days Nikola aka Zyce was interested in music, with experience playing in numerous rock, reggae and metal bends. After years of playing Nikola found himself in Electronic music and started creating his recognizable progressive style. Nikola utilizes his vast musical knowledge in a variety of instruments such as the Keyboard, Guitar, Bass Guitar and Drums to name a few. In June 2008 he released a collaboration album Zyce & Fox for Synergetic Records. Dalibor aka Flegma was producing all kinds of beats, writing melodies and arranging songs, using gadgets and synths that was available. He began to learn about music at early age, influenced by his older brother who play bass and guitar. He grew up listening a music with a lot of different influences until the 1999 when trance music hit him so hard, that he knew it was his calling where he could express his ideas through electronic music production. Aside from signed Iono Music, Zyce and Flegma releasing tracks for Synergetic records, Spin Twist records, YSE... At the moment Flegma is preparing a collaboration album with Nerso which is about to be released this year. Ectima already has unique progressive tech trance style, which gained very positive feedback from the audience after few live performances.Their sound can be defined as a mixture of deep bass lines, strong percussive sequences, dark pads and eletric fx's synth arranged in extraordinary way which is constantly developing into new and original sound forms that represent a true innovation. Behind this are two brothers, Andreas and Stavros Kamenidis.
Stavros (aka Dj Dr.InseKt) started djing in 1991 in the age of 14 and after 5 years of mixing different styles of music, psychedelic trance won him over. During those years he had played in many parties in Greece as a resident or guest dj, in some of them with Max & Mauri (Etnica), PanPapason (P.A.N), Dj Eduardo (Neurobiotic Records), Nikos Liquid Love and other guests and local djs. Nowadays he is also playing for www.DI.fm webadio station & www.psyjukebox.com .Whether is a night - morning or warm-up time he is not afraid to use his skills & knowledge and make a set full of psychedelic energy vibes! He studied sound engineering and movie editing and he is now working in both while making music and djing. Andreas (aka Dj Ancestor) started making music in 1997 in the age of 16 when his passion for electronic music took all over him! Till then Stavros was teaching him the Techno philosophy and he was hooked. After that psychedelic trance came into his life and made him start making his own music! In the meanwhile he studied sound engineering & music technology and in 2000 he released his first album called "Predator" under the project name "L.O.S" (Legion Of Space) in Eros Music, a Greek record label. After that he had a solo career for a couple of years till the end of 2003... He also works as a sound engineer while making music!! 01. Frost Raven - Starchaser [133 BPM]
After a short n sweet intro begins wide groovy basskicks and mixture of atmospheric sounds and melodies, a base recipe for great uptempo proggy/minimal style psytrance. The track rides consistently keeping hold of the listener's attention and midway it tapers into a breakdown with a short, light melodic line. The track then bursts out with more driving beats and hypnotic yet not overly epic melodies generating a powerful energy and mood. "Starchaser" is a very dance floor friendly track perfect for the late morning or midday at an open air party. Frost Raven wastes no time in establishing he knows how to offer the essential ingredients necessary for a solid tune. The listener is hooked and eagerly anticipates what will come next expecting the same high level production quality for the remainder of the album.
02. Frost Raven - The Well [142 BPM]
After a short hypnotic intro the beats begin at a significantly increased tempo than the previous track. It gradually builds until the basskicks, bassline, and hi-hats kick in to flow simultaneously with a light-hearted mood. So far the tempo and intelligent atmospheres make this track fall somewhere between semi progressive and semi morning full-on. A bit more than 1/3 through the track there is a transition into a stutter beat variation which spirals downward to a sort of squirly crashing point. Then the beats immediately pick up again with a light level of intensity and sounds. It then takes another direction with a 2nd breakdown following a section of light beats behind dreamy melodies. The track tapers off with a minimalistic structure.
I had a difficult time following the different directions of "The Well". As far as musical content this track is the lightest on the album. I don't think it was intended to be a danceable piece per se', rather more of a story line. Perhaps "The Well" has a deeper meaning to the production artist than the average listener in search of a beat surf would initially consider. I think it would have fit in better as the album's closing track for decompression but again, the artist may or may not have a rhyme or reason for placing it to follow the much stronger opening track.
03. Frost Raven - Tabula Rasa [135 BPM]
Allrighty, now its back to business with "Tabula Rasa". The intro section is groovy electro prog psy with a catchy accentuated bassline and light flowing melody. Then the bottom heavy basskicks, cracking clap, pulsating bassline, and intelligent no-frills melodic soundscapes take into action. After the breakdown the 2nd half of the track has a mellower vibe than the main section but still maintains the groove factor. This is a solid danceable mid-tempo piece.
04. Frostraven - Night Freak [137 BPM]
"Night Freak" begins with some dark noises to set the mood over a minimalistic yet upbeat and snappy basskick and bassline. Its very evident the bpm is a tad higher than the previous track. I'm personally a huge digger of oldschool tech-trance ala "The Delta", "Midi Miliz", et al. set at around this tempo. After the intro section it winds down and then quickly picks up again With driving basskicks, rolling bassline, crisp hats, and a subtle yet catchy memorable whistling "whooup" effect. It gradually builds into a point with a little drum roll before a short n sweet epic breakdown at which is great for a well deserved approving reaction from a good crowd. Then the energy level peaks and the track continues to kick serious grooving ass with wide basskicks and high energy acidic melodies. "Night Freak" is a great fusion of some elements of prog psy and morning full-on which results in a very solid stomper. Its one of my favorite tracks on the album and I'd have this one hot n ready on que to include in a midday set outdoors or even at night in a indoor space.
05. Frostraven - Muse [138 BPM]
"Muse" begins with a scratchy little intro and then the groovy beats and bassline kick in. The tempo is set at virtually the same as the previous track but this one has more of an edgy tekno-prog with psychedelic sprinkles feel. Any style of psytrance fused with elements of techno will perk up my auditory senses, especially when the pronounced hats and a broken beat clack are included as are in this track. About 1/3 through is a moody melancholic breakdown and the intensity builds nicely from there. At about the halfway mark the sounds and intensity become more aggressive and psychedelic than any of the previous tracks. The layers formulate a well arranged set of sounds that aren't too stressful and fit very well with the groove. Then all of a sudden the train comes to an abrupt halt and an menacing darker mood takes over for the breakdown. A little girl's voice says "music is a glorious expression that is supposed to make people feel happy" then immediately replies a more sinister female voice saying "you obviously haven't heard any of my music..." after which the driving beats and crazy yet not too harsh on the ears psychedelia resume at full force. Muse is a semi prog, semi full-on vibe on the verge of high tech full-on. This track is definitely a floor banger and another one of my favorites on the album.
06. Frostraven - Nightmares [148 BPM]
At this point the album takes a drastic change in direction putting aside any slight suggestion to progressive style for faster morning full-on psy/goa. This track includes a few different beat variations that are well transitioned and flow nicely throughout. At about midway into the track the rougher atmospheres and mood approach the threshold of dark style but never cross into that realm. Instead, after a breakdown it takes the listener through a section of goa influenced epic melodies. Contrary to the track's title I find "Nightmares" to be a rather enlightening piece of which especially the last few minutes of the track is perfect for a sunrise set in the open air.
07. Frostraven - Lore [146 BPM]
The production is crisp and clean and the psychedelic soundscapes are well arranged and pleasing to the ears. Similar to some of the previous tracks this one has a breakdown with a dramatic yet interesting voice sample. The transitions are well timed and flow very nicely. Though not my favorite on the album, with pumping basskicks, rolling bassline, and great melodic hooks, "Lore" is a solid morning full-on track which would fit perfectly on the beach, in the mountains, or the forest.
08. Frost Raven - Dark Wood [146 BPM]
"Dark Wood" is upbeat morning full-on style psy with snappy basskicks and a catchy bassline. There are distinctive oldschool goa trance atmospheres especially through the last 1/3 of the track. Definitely worth more than a couple of playbacks.
09. Virtual Light - Nuclear Sun(Frost Raven Rmx) [145 BPM]
For the final track Frost Raven puts his own touches on an original from Virtual Light called "Nuclear Sun". The first half is a little heavier with psychedelic atmospheres. At about midway after the breakdown we're brought home with more of those well heart-felt flowing dreamy goa style melodic hooks. The result is another solid morning full-on psy piece to wrap up the album.
Bottom line:
Aside from a few exceptions, up to now the majority of American psytrance artists most familiar domestically and internationally are known for producing predominantly dark style. In flys Dustin Musser (aka Frost Raven) a young, creative, talented, and promising producer dropping his 2nd album "Star Muse" to break the mold. This album will definitely please aficionados of lighter psy around the globe with his brand of powerfully cool and refreshing fusion of groovy prog psy with rich melodic morning full-on. The entire album's BPM ranges from 133 to 148, there are several different variations of beats, tempos, and energy levels, interesting and well placed voice samples, and fusions of styles giving the most picky listener and beat bouncer something to sink their ears and feet into.
The fact that Dustin has a background which includes formal training in film and theater soundtrack composition, as well as previous cross-style releases to his name surely gave him a leg-up in producing his latest album. Those factors are definitely reflected in the excellent crisp production quality, well structured flow, and developed maturity level of the album.
Star Muse will definitely catch the ears and respect of the domestic and international psytrance circuit. Practically every one of the tracks would have no problem keeping an indoor or outdoor dance floor hopping on all cylinders. There is no reason why Frost Raven shouldn't be playing with the big boys on the big international labels at the big parties abroad. He should expect to have many opportunities made available to him to support his album in that way. I look forward to seeing Frost Raven's music career in the psychedelic EDM realm develop and blossom free of limitations into the future.

After taking 3 years off to focus on his family (yes he is married with a newborn!) Artist Profile:
Tim McCall (Jirah) is known for creating energetic and atmospheric trance music, although the Jirah name has occasionally been associated with a more downtempo style. Coming from a musical family, he learned many instruments, his favorite being guitar. He grew up listening to a mix of rock and early techno music, experimenting with digital processing from the age of 12. His first exposure to goa/psy music came with the release of the "Blue Room / Trip Through Sound" compilation in 1997, which set him on a direct course into producing this type of sound. It was during this time that Jirah was born, and over the years Tim's music evolved as he continued to refine his skills. His debut album was released in 2003 on USTA Records, receiving strong reviews and acclaim worldwide. Tim went on to release music on many other labels such as Dragonfly, Aleph Zero, Organic, Harmonia and Spliff to name a few. Since his first live show in 2001, he has played throughout the world, from Europe to Asia to the Americas. In 2005, due to a mixed set of circumstances, Tim decided that he needed to take a break from songwriting and performance. His music continued to be released during this time, and after a three year silence, he is back on the scene with new projects on the way. Paraforce is the solo trance music project of Varun Anand, based in New Delhi, India. Paraforce is a rockin dark full on vibe. The music reminds me of the streets of India. Indian streets generate a cornicopia of amazing sounds, everything from a car honking its horn, to a temple chanting its prayers. I have been going to psytrance parties for a long time, I know that this is the full on stuff, which could be played at the highest moments of the party. Almost should have a notice sign saying not for the week at heart. This is mega deep dark Psychedelic journey, full of layers and depth. Hope to hear it played out more! Good job !

Hector Stuardo is the legendary Ovnimoon from Chile presents a special essential collection of his most memorable tracks that till now were only available as the original versions (not the ones he plays at all the festivals). Now for the first time ever he releases these hit tracks fully retooled, remixed, remastered and fully pumped for 2010 to celebrate his decade of producing music! Way back in 2000 Hector made the first performance under his Ovnimoon project focusing on morning psytrance style and goa. After showing his music to the Chilean scene for several years, he decided to try his luck with sending demos to some labels where he believed he could work his music. His first track "KantuM" was released for "Synergetic Records" in December 2003. After this, Hector continues to work with the same label, editing some chill out songs, and then compiled the second version of the disc "Energetic vol. 2 Compiled by Ovnimoon" for which he produced 2 tracks and remix. On April 2006, he released his debut album, called Camanchaca. One year later, on April 2007, with a new sound and with new approach, he released his second album called "Human Spirit". The album shows a stronger sound and becomes more distinctive, with a great sales success. Several tracks on this album were re-edited on several collections of major labels such as: Yellow Sunshine Explosion & Ministry Of Sound. In 2008, Ovnimoon published his third album called "Family of Light" with which he had great success as well. His last released work was a complete change. Changing label and style. On August 2009, Ovnimoon launches 4th album called "Geometric Poetry" under the German label IONO music. Geometric Poetry rapidly achieved bestseller in the stores like Saikosounds and Psyshop, reaching # 1 on both stores at once for more than one week. Hector has participated in several important events in his country, being considered an ambassador of Chilean trance music, a great artist and creator. Playing in venues like Earthdance Chile, Chile Love Parade, Monte Mapu Festival and endless festivals throughout his hometown "Santiago". Creating compilations for labels such us: Synergetic records, Geomagnetic records, Goa records. He has participated in compilations for labels like: Magma , Iboga, Spliff Music, In grooves, Future Lovers, Geomagnetic Tv , Ministry of Sound, Leguan, YSE, Ajana, Revolver Magazine, Freeze Magazine, Moonsun rec, Kagdila, Usta, Hadra records, Groove Control, Joof Rec , Sony Music , and prepares to edit in Solartech, Iono Music, Aleph Zero, Dharmaharmony. In 2010 Hector launches his own label called "Ovnimoon records" where with the support of his friend Dr Spook, plan out new compilations. Ovnimoon is no doubt an artist who will never stop growing and constantly evolving, increasingly improving his own production, his sound and quality, and believing in what he does.
