it kills last year's distant system imo
*gasp* My album is laying there with a knife in the heart!

Hey guys, I'm really honored... a big thanks to everyone who cared enough to place a vote and respect/thanks to Travbrad01 for configuring it all. What a nice surprise to wake up to.
-
I'm not sure yet, but I think I will vote for this album. Promise us that there will be the second chapter if it wins
I will be honored if it takes album of the year, but regardless, there will be a second chapter.

Cheers to all of you voting this album as best of 2008. It will be something really special if Spiral Empire takes the cake for chillout here at psynew.org. As always an extended thanks to all universal supporters of these efforts. It's always a bonus to come here and glimpse your individual insights into what the music is doing for each of you. Interesting and entertaining all the while.

Hahah, I finally went and did it.

Thanks again to all of you who support and enjoy this work. Looking foward to creating the next one!

any update on this one ?!
I was told last week there was a problem with the master so it's been pushed back a little. Probably early 2009 now, possibly December. I'll let you all know as soon as I know it's finished at the manufacturing.

Thanks all who support this work! Happy to know that some of you think it's a "best of 2008" this year. I plan to work twice as hard on the next one... it will be awhile, though.

Don't pay any attention to the obvious attempts at trolling from "Chillmood". Pretty much everyone here loves your album, it's awesome.
Understood. I have to say I always get a good laugh from an avatar or posted GIF when I check out this thread. The cat one, the Caffiene:me cartoon, and the little kid dancing all crazy have got some outward bursts.
Thanks for the amusment, all!

Not even a thank you for the nice comments or anything? The fame must have gotten to your head
If fame = being close to broke all the time and getting slagged by hate-mongers on forums, then yeah, I guess it's totally gone to my head.
My appreciation and gratitude for my fan-base is insurmountable, friend. If I were to ever forget to tell my mother I love her, that doesn't change that fact that I do.
So please cut me some slack. I keep myself very busy even though the pay is shite. I have nothing but love for the creation of music and art and the people who support what I do.
This thread has enough activity of individuals trying to take the piss out of it.
Big Thanks and Love to all of you, even the haters and the whiners.
Peace and respect,
Tyler

I simply found it amusing, Murph. Trust me, if I really cared about what you thought on a personal level we'd probably be in actual contact instead of run-ins on forums. :drama:
You just confuse me, really.
If you like the "Spiral Empire" album so much, then why not try to keep turning people onto it rather than make comparisons between newer/older downtempo album concepts and styles that are pretty different? It has it's place in time and if you respect it, then respect that notion.
