  1. Heard this superb neo-goa track this superb sunny saturday in stockholm at a 1000 man strong innercity day doof, a party with a timewarping vibe of India or Byron Bay 1995, not Sweden 2005. A party of the kind and vibe that I never thought would happen again.. :D

Anyway.. Dj Morg or someone else played this amazing track with these oldschool munjiga (Jew's Harp) sounds. The sample went "Post Traumatic Disorder" or "Post Traumatic Syndrome" maybe..

    Guys Help me out!!!

  2. True Freedom. Everytime one of my old techno-partners in crime comes over to my

gaff he starts going on about this song and always demands to hear it.

Now this track is pure trance escapism at its finest moment. Now, if this is

not a KILLER, then what else is. And no I can't agree with the person above

who says this track could have been better.

Don't bother with the drone IIV track. It's like a monotonous prototype track

of the true freedom track, without the kicks, the breaks, the samples and the

hooks. Similar to doof's old monotonous "trance-mixes" on the flipsides of his

ep's, however not anywhere as good as his.

  3. Best track "Code - Parsifal (The Grand Architect Mix)"

I have Feed your Head 1 & 2 on cd. But the one you really should get is "Feed

your Head 3 - Accelerating the Alpha rythms" which I only have on LP. This

album kicks some real ass. One of my favourite ambient collections.

  4. When we are talking oldschool trance you can almost put Platipus in third

position after the larger-than-life imprints Eye-Q on first place and

Superstition on second place. Clanger - Seadog is one of my alltime favourites

    in this sunny happy style.

I think it is stupid to not call tracks such as "Technossomy - Electon Bender",

"Salamander : Tempest (Union Jack Rmx)" and "Union Jack : Two Full Moons And A

Trout" goa-trance even though I can't speak for the mixes exept in the case of

Salamander (also released stuff as Moonweed). This stuff was played at the

parties together with goa at the time, and if you wheren't down then maybe you

should keep your voice down a bit.

  5. Now this is some classic timeless stuff. Absolutely essential. I have had so

many great moments with this music in my ears. However calling it

morning-trance is to take it a bit too far. Great Ethnic Ambient-chill. track

3-8 are the best. It's that damn good that I want a cd-copy of it too, I just

    have the vinyl-version.

  6. Well Christian Llopis is one of the forerunners of the newschool progressive

techno-trance sound here in the south of the north hemispehere. Originating

from Örebro and now living in Copenhagen this guy have at several occations

made a great impression on me and given me a wonderful time at the dancefloor

a few years ago. So naturally I was very eager to hear his own productions

since I was a big fan of his sets. The two tracks I've downloaded this far

however didn't stand up to my expectations. But just as Nois here above says,

Llopis is best heard on the dancefloor of a big outdoor system, and his songs

probably don't go well for homelistening anyway. So until I've heard more from

Llopis i'll rather prefer to have him behind the decks than on the disk.

  7. I had incredibly high expectations when I first heard this album since the

cover is absolutely beautiful, needless to say I was let down since I had

extremely high expectations and thought this was an all-out goa album, and in

the end I din't buy it.

Since I got the Gods Eye 12" I started to change my opinion about the poppier

album version of the song. I actually really like it and especially the

lyrics. This might seem really silly to some but for me the song seems to

convey a message of how the band went to goa in order to find enlightment but

instead became desillusioned by the promise goa couldn't keep. Prepared to

leave the surreal spiritual world they experienced in india for the ordinary

world's rainy streets of Copenhagen. "Sayonara cowboy, you can take my place",

leaving the mission to someone else to try to find the enlightment promised

by the now rather shattered naivistic dream of the goa revolution.

So now I really regret that I didn't buy this album when I had the chance.

Thanks for the exellent review Inukko.

For more oldschool action from Ian Ion, try to dig up the "shiva's edit"

version of "Wow mr. Yogi" on the dusty old Coma Records compilation "Mermaid

Trax" along with the track "Crystal" by "Koxbox"

  8. The psychedelic-sounding stuff never was Massimo Vivona's strong side.

However Just as Sebastian and ukiro says, this man is a legend and have made

various at the time incredibly groundbreaking and creative killer-tracks

released on his two own imprints that always will stay on my alltime top-list.

    Respekt.

However if this sounds anything like the really crappy jinglebells ep on flying

rhino then keep away and instead try digging up some of his progressive stuff

on some of his old vinyl-releases or get the massimo vivona - 001 album.

  9. Just as the person above wrote before me:

Massimo Vivona is the original innovator whom everyone have copied. Massimo is

to techno what timbaland is to modern r'n'b.

Respect where respect is due. Check out his old productions on his labels

headzone and groundgroove if you still can find anything lying around.

Too bad that a lot of people into the scene today know hardly anything about

the past. Everyone's raving about the digital structures boys (no diss, love

your stuff boys) but no one has heard of massimo vivona.

  10. Guys. This Album is freaking exellent. Bought it from the second-hand boxes at

at techno store. This sounds just as fresh today as then. maybe people didn't

get it back then but I've always liked Jens Valdebäcks style. (Is he swedish

btw?) Wery interesting and well-produced sounds, all tracks are good enough

according to me. Sensitive and beautiful music. But what is the album-title

and the text "get one now - soon it will be illegal" refeering to?

    8/10
