I don't think you need both - I can dance to a groovy bassline all night long - the melodies are there for brain foood
-
good full on - that's a contradiction isn't it?

I voted bassline
That's what you dance to - the melodies are for ur head

I agree with you about Kraftwerk - but also - remember XTC? they made some albums under the name Dukes of the Stratosphear - imo, Chips from the chocolate Fireball is the most trippy psychedelic album you can shake a cat at

It's wicked - highly rcommended

Also, RDF (radical dance faction) and African Headcharge - were messing with electronica which kinda got everyone into the groove just before psy trance was born - listening to their music today sounds more psychedelic than alot of current releases
Pioneers of Goa - I recommend reading a book by Cleo Odzer called Goa Freaks

Pioneers of Goa? That's a tricky one to answer - perhaps Steve Hillage (ex Gong) and maybe Youth (The Orb) were the ground breaking acts at the time - they certainly were the leaders of electronic music at that time
What music are you listening to right now?
in General Psytrance

I have a soft spot for drummers who can twin bass pedal
And it's good to not listen to psy 24hrs a day
