OL is the DJ collective of Spencer Lokken, Bethany Briscoe Lokken, and Ben Silver. Since they met in Chicago in 2000, this versatile trio has enlightened dance floors from Mexico to Maine with their highly unpredictable and eclectic sets. From headnodic downtempo & boogie to ominous and ultramodern house & tech, theirs is a democratic mission: to expose as many people as possible to the artists whom they admire and respect, create unique dance floor memories, and to cross traditional boundaries of turntablism/improv/electronic fusion. What sets Orchard Lounge apart from other selectors, however, is that you won't always find them in the club. They've built a reputation over the last decade as a hard-touring festival act and set-break crowd favorite, frequently supporting live bands. All three members have a deep-rooted passion for live music, which has allowed them to experiment with a variety of different types of DJ sets when performing on stage. Consistently labeled as risk takers, the members of OL aren’t afraid to clear a room if they genuinely believe in and appreciate the record. That said, they take their title as tastemakers very seriously and are constantly looking for new ways to engage even the most discerning of crowds. They have an interminable work ethic and while they cherish their underground roots, from day one they’ve been determined to bring the art of deejaying to the forefront of popular culture. Their goals are slowly being realized as they've had the rare opportunity of performing at world famous venues such as Red Rocks, the Pritzker Pavillion in Millennium Park, and New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom. Evan Michael (Brooklyn Bass) https://soundcloud.com/emweine A regular amongst the Brooklyn circuit, Evan Michael has his hands in a host of various dance related entities. As a promoter for the budding Williamsburg indie and electronic music venue, Cameo Gallery, he's also a main editor for the blog Brooklyn Bass. Expect his sets to be filled with rare grooves found in the basement of Greenpoint's The Thing to contemporary Deep House classics from labels like Local Talk and FINA. Whether it's playing gigs alongside the likes of Justin Miller, Marcos Cabral, Anthony Naples and Madteo, Evan adjusts his playlist to what he sees fit and keeps the crowd moving. Check out his monthly podcasts via Brooklyn Bass as well as insights on the latest disco and house releases. ------------------------- Bringing you the FRESHEST beats in the NORTHEAST http://www.mrbugsly.com/ Follow us on twitter for updates @mrbugsly **For information on how to become part of our ever-growing team, and to earn free tickets, contact: streetteam@mrbugsly.com** For all other inquires: info@mrbugsly.com

Freddy Todd http://freddytodd.com/ "Words will inevitably fail to properly describe Freddy Todd. Genre-busting could be an understatement. You can’t pin him down with lexicon like lazer-bass and glitch-funk; these phrases fall way short of capturing the expressiveness, fearlessness, and space-traveling qualities of his music. Hearing his music is akin to being abducted by an extra-terrestrial cruise liner where everyone is tripping on space acid. And if you are lucky enough to witness him produce, you’ll see that he fittingly looks just like the captain of said space cruiser, both hands intently gripping his electronics like the instrument panel on the flight deck. Based out of Detroit, Freddy Todd is truly a master of his craft not only in the studio but on stages across the globe. Without any pre-recorded sets, Freddy has the skills and the audacity to perform on the fly mixes of 100% original material tailored to his specific audience, mood, and venue each night, be it a theater in northern California, a club in the back alleys of Detroit, or an outdoor festival in the bush off the eastern coast of Australia (occasionally on special nights with his live drummer, ill.so.naj). His earth shattering, meticulously programmed beats and rhythms, his lazer crunk, funky psychedelic bass and sound design, and his brain tingling, intelligently soul-soaked synths, melodies, and field-recorded samples are sure to shake your consciousness as they blast through airwaves out of top notch sound systems across the universe." R/D http://www.rd-sound.com/ Entranced, nearly basking in the radiance of R/D’s sound, audiences are swallowed up in his vibrant melodies, pounding beats, and zealous dedication to the craft. Dripping with angst and desire, R/D’s compositions can be at times dizzyingly beautiful, heartbreaking in their melancholy and dancefloor-crushing all at once. Raised in Los Angeles, R/D’s recent transplant to San Francisco inspired an edgy, heavy, more contemporary sound that’sfinding new ears nationwide and beyond, elevating him from indie auteur to full-fledged underground sensation. Not content to rework straightforward pop songs, R/D’s eclecticism lead him to today’s most cutting edge artists, resulting in massively successful remixes of Fever Ray, James Blake, T Mills, Ellie Goulding and The Glitch Mob. He has recently completed an official remix for Kaskade‘s new project Late Night Alumni, to be released by Ultra Records early next year. R/D has been tapped to join tours with Bassnectar, The Glitch Mob, VibeSquaD, and Beats Antique. His 2012 festival appearances include Coachella, Electric Forest, Wakarusa, Lightening in a Bottle and Boonstock. He’s shared bills with Pretty Lights, Kill The Noise, Knife Party, Paper Diamond, Foreign Beggars, Adventure Club, and more. His ‘Bay Crush’ EP debuted at #1 on the Beatport Glitch- Hop chart. His latest singles ‘Love Hard‘ and ‘End Side Out‘ have landed in the Top 10 on Dubstep.net‘s weekly charts and his music has been regularly featured on Earmilk.com and ThisSongIsSick.com. Earlier this year he received a nod from North Face with his music featured as the sweeping soundtrack to 3 extreme snowboarding videos. Narkatta https://soundcloud.com/narkatta Narkatta, [Good Looks NY] raised by wolves, picked up the guitar after obsessing over a video of Jimi Hendrix lighting his guitar on fire at Monterey Pop Fest in '67. Idolizing Jimi, he began emulating him by experimenting with amplification and distortion of sounds with an array of guitar pedals. Combining that analog sound with the digital sounds created by his computer, he began to be known for spinning high energy sets that were not limited to any genre, combining Electro House, Dub, Glitch Hop, and Trip Hop. He started playing local NYC parties and has been known for spinning 6+ hour sets. Now performing on both east and west coasts, sharing decks with such artists as GRiZ, Gramtik, Archnemisis, Jon "Barber" Gutwillig of Disco Biscuits, Andreilien (Heyoka) , as well as spinning for Burning Man Decom parties thrown by Disorient, and Alex Grey's COSM parties. Some venues he has performed at include Webster Hall, Sullivan Room, Public Assembly, The Delancey, The Electric Warehouse, and Highline Ballroom. Top 5 Nominee for BEST COLLEGE DJ for 2012's Global Spin Awards in NYC. There never is a party where Narkatta doesn’t whip the crowd into a rabid bass fueled frenzy, spinning for the love of what he does. Modern influences include Diplo, Chemical Brothers, Aphex Twin, Angger Dimas, Daft Punk, An-ten-nae, Pretty Lights, Flying Lotus, and GRiZ, and classic interest include Jimi Hendrix, Robert Johnson, Miles Davis, and the Doors. Formed in 2004 by Aron Magner and Marc Brownstein (The Disco Biscuits’ keyboardist and bass player) along with New York producer DJ Omen, Conspirator has taken on many forms through the years. With the recent addition of virtuoso guitarist Chris Michetti and stalwart drummers Darren Shearer (the New Deal) and Mike Greenfield (Lotus), Conspirator has reached a new level. As a full band, the music is hitting new highs, and with the addition of an arsenal of new material, crowds across the nation have begun to catch on. Conspirator can no longer be considered merely a side-project, but must be looked at entirely as its own entity. Coming off of break-out performances at Ultra Music Festival and Nocturnal Festival, Conspirator has begun to catch the eye of electronic music aficionados everywhere. Refusing to be pigeon-holed into one genre, they explore the many realms of electronic music, effortlessly slipping between house, dub-step, drum and bass, and electro. Check out Conspirator at one of the many festivals they are appearing at this Summer: Electric Forest, Camp Bisco, Liberate Festival, Catskill Chill, and more. Blockhead http://ninjatune.net/artist/blockhead Tony Simon AKA Blockhead was born and raised in Downtown Manhattan, in New York City. The son of an artist, he found a fondness for music at a young age. In particular, he fell in love with Hip Hop. In his early teens he began penning rhymes and eventually was part of a group called The Overground with a bunch of his friends. While he loved rapping, he also always had an interest in the musical side of things so he would soon abandon his dreams of being a rapper for being the man who made the beats. This was a wise choice. Eventually, he and his friend Aesop Rock would meet and begin to make music together and release it on the internet. In 2000, Aesop's album Float was released on Mush Records and quickly propelled both Aesop and Blockhead into notoriety. After that, Blockhead released a breakbeat album on Mush called Blockhead's Broke Beats. After a few years more years of making beats for rappers, Blockhead put out his first solo instrumental record on Ninja Tune records , titled Music by Cavelight. This was the first of four critically acclaimed albums he has since released on the UK based label. He also was one half of the comedy rap duo Party Fun Action Committee, which was released on Definitive Jux records in 2003. As well as making solo albums and working with Aesop, blockhead has also worked with artists like Murs, Slug, Mike Ladd, Cage, Open Mike Eagle, Maclethal, SA Smash, Isaiah Toothtaker, Illogic and others. Blockhead has also been busy touring the last 8 years with groups like Aesop Rock, Dj Cam, Amon Tobin, Bonobo, Kid Koala, Cold Cut, Emancipator, and many others. Nerve http://www.jojomayer.com/ NERVE was initiated in the spring of '98 by drum wizard Jojo Mayer as an experimental platform for a handful of New York musicians interested in the cultural phenomenon of intelligent electronic DJ culture and the opportunity it created as a gateway to new musical paradigms and pioneered the movement of live “electronic” music. KJ Sawka (Pendulum) http://kjsdrumline.com/ Seeing Kevin Sawka on the drums is the only way to believe the hype. He can play the most complex of jungle, drum'n'bass and breakbeats utilizing no loops and no extended samples -only his two hands and two feet. If you can catch him in the right moment –live, at a show, or in a studio session- you’ll witness him perform each and every 808 bass kick, snare slap, and compressed highhat tick himself, in real-time. “I’d like to be able to play like that all the time, however, live, I want to give the people the fully-produced, complex sound I’m envisioning, so I not only play the drums, but I manually trigger the basslines, melodies, riffs and now even the light show and projections with my drums –so it’s a lot harder to focus on playing every single little single sound with my sticks. But it’s like I’m playing even more with my sticks lately, not less.” -------------------------------------------------------- Bringing you the FRESHEST beats in the NORTHEAST http://www.mrbugsly.com/ **For information on how to become part of our ever-growing team, and to earn free tickets, contact: streetteam@mrbugsly.com** For all other inquires: info@mrbugsly.com
  6. BoomBox - Grimace Federation DJ Set Friday, March 30th, 2012 Brooklyn Bowl- 61 Wythe Ave. Brooklyn, NY 21+ Doors @ 11 Tickets $8 / http://www.ticketfly.com/purchase/event/97813 BoomBox www.myspace.com/oizo3000 BoomBox consists of two versatile producers, DJs, songwriters, multi-instrumentalists and longtime friends Russ Randolph and Zion Rock Godchaux. Together they develop an electronic blend of vintage Rock and Blues made to move dance floors while incorporating their signature Backbeat, Psychedelia and Funky House sounds. Applying a multi-track platform, they are free to create their hybrid style on the fly with a rhythm that moves fans and opens them up to Godchaux and Randolph’s overall vision. Derived from the rich musical history of Muscle Shoals, AL, to the psychedelic rock and underground electronic scenes of the west coast, their unique approach can only be achieved by the blending of sound and culture. BoomBox’s first release, Visions of Backbeat, contained the breakout song "Stereo" that built the foundation for their rapidly growing fan base. After years of steady touring and honing their sound, they released their sophomore effort, downriverelectric, and was hailed by critics as a progressive follow up effort. BoomBox are continuously working on new releases, using a blend of programming and live instrumentation with both members on drums, Randolph on keys, and Godchaux on guitar, bass and vocals. Each live show is unique to the venue and the crowd, who are the driving force of the rhythmic BoomBox experience. “It’s all natural, it’s all in real time, and that’s why it’s Rock ‘n’ Roll”, says Godchaux. Traditional set lists are never created prior to shows, instead, BoomBox chooses the music based on the atmosphere, to create a one-of-a-kind experience for fans. Randolph adds, “We just want to go out with no game plan. That way it’s fresh for us, and we can follow the energy of the crowd. We’re down to get down, and we hope that people are down with us.” Grimace Federation DJ Set http://grimacefederation.bandcamp.com/ Grimace Federation creates morphing, sonic, textured movements which groove and swerve pleasantly between the progressive and the old school. Built from an improvisational fusion guitar trio (guitar, bass, drums), Grimace used lush chords and raw drum n bass beats to develop a funky jazz tweaked indie-rock sound that rocked house parties across Philly. In an effort to continually change, always staying dynamic and heavy, the band added a 2nd drummer, a New York vibraphonist and a fretless bassist forming the lineup that is Grimace Federation today. Now the quintet crafts complex and subtle instrumental pieces that are as deep as they are classic; referencing Radiohead, A Tribe Called Quest, and Stereolab as much as George Harrison, Ry Cooder and Art Blakey. The sound is an aesthetic that is truly unique. -------------------------------------------------------- Bringing you the FRESHEST beats in the NORTHEAST http://www.mrbugsly.com/ **For information on how to become part of our ever-growing team, and to earn free tickets, contact: streetteam@mrbugsly.com** For all other inquires: info@mrbugsly.com
  7. Ott - Filastine M.B.P is excited to announce Ott's return to NYC at the gorgeous Highline Ballroom with Filastine! Friday, March 23rd, 2012 Highline Ballroom - 431 W 16th St New York, NY 10011 All Ages Doors: 7:00 / Music: 8:00 Tickets: $15 http://www.ticketweb.com/t3/sale/SaleEventDetail?dispatch=loadSelectionData&eventId=4303975&pl=highline&REFID=hl&utm_source=highline&utm_medium=eventlink&utm_campaign=ott Ott http://www.ottsonic.net/ British producer Ott got his start working as an engineer in several studios around North London. Working obsessively, 18 hours a day, seven days a week for almost 10 years, he began developing the skills that would eventually allow him to work with artists who inspired his foray into music in the first place – Brian Eno, The Orb, Youth, African Head Charge, Steve Hillage, and On-U-Sound. After spending the '90s freelancing around London as a studio engineer and producer, Ott celebrated the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st by giving it all up and moving to a remote cottage in southwestern England to be alone with his cats and his studio. A period of intense creativity followed, during which he created a great many tracks and then stashed them away on tapes, hidden from the light of day. In the meantime, Ott hatched a plan to remix half a dozen or so classic Hallucinogen trance tracks and release them as dub mixes – slower, fatter, and more chill friendly. In 2002 he realized this plan, releasing the album Hallucinogen in Dub via Twisted Records to universal acclaim. Buoyed by the success of this initial release, the following year Ott gathered together and released his earlier sonic experiments as the album Blumenkraft (2003), which was also very well received and attracted a great many listeners around the world. The next few years passed in a whirl of gigs, remixes, and collaborative projects. During this time, Ott travelled the world, got married, welcomed his daughter Daisy to the world, and released his third and fourth albums, Skylon (2008) and Mir (2011). He recently settled on the Mediterranean coast of Spain with his wife and daughter and is currently working on numerous projects. Filastine www.filastine.com "Grey Filastine is an audio-visual artist born in Los Angeles, based in Barcelona, and often nomadic. He composes a dense transnational bass music that collides the lowest frequencies of dubstep with the highest-level beat science, acoustic strings, voices, and lofi street noises. The results are "Awesome and delicate... hybrids so fluent they defy classification." -Pitchfork Filastine's debut record, Burn It , was released in 2006 by DJ Rupture to much critical acclaim: "Filled with both with jagged edges and moments of sad sweetness ... Burn It is sure to win fans across multiple scenes"- XLR8R. The album ricocheted around the world, licensed and re-released by labels in France, Japan, and the US. The follow up album, Dirty Bomb, dropped in 2009 through an alliance of labels led by French electro-dub imprint Jarring Effects. Prefix Mag called it "the prototype of globalized urban sound... It will devastate your subwoofer." Performing up to a hundred concerts per year, Filastine triggers live riddims and synchronized video from a heap of electronics wired to an amplified shopping cart. You may have seen him at a sweaty Tokyo nightclub, a football stadium in Casablanca, a respected euro-fest like Sonar, in a parking lot in Borneo, or touring the US with Bassnectar. Before making electronic music Filastine played with the Infernal Noise Brigade, a marching band he founded for the Battle of Seattle. He continues to use audio as a tool of intervention with the Sound Swarm, an orchestra of bike- mounted megaphones conducted by pirate radios transmitters. 2011 will see the release of a new album, and a grip of videos, made in tighter collaboration with Javanese vocalist Nova Ruth and Lyon-based cellist Amelie Bouard. Expect to find Filastine anywhere, crashing borders and transforming friction into beauty." -------------------------------------------------------- Bringing you the FRESHEST beats in the NORTHEAST http://www.mrbugsly.com/ **For information on how to become part of our ever-growing team, and to earn free tickets, contact: streetteam@mrbugsly.com** For all other inquires: info@mrbugsly.com

Very positive sounds from a unique, new voice in modern music....highly recommended." The Silo Effect http://www.siloeffect.com/ In late 2007 a series of events served to inspire and generate the creation of what is now called the Silo Effect. Since their inception, the Richmond-based quartet has been carefully crafting a boldly satisfying brew of electronic space-rock. Deriving their sound from an eclectic blend of forms and styles, they have fostered a dedicated following throughout the mid-Atlantic, and continue seducing listeners up and down the East coast. Colorful sonic landscapes riddled in vivid melodies, infectious grooves and soaring peaks. Members of the Silo Effect are fundamentally bound to the assurance that their artistic platform is one that is firmly grounded in promoting a culture of music and art in the most unifying of lights. 9. **The Brothership Connection Tour** lespecial - Space Jesus - Blue Boy Productions - Mikey Likes iT M.B.P is excited to announce the NYC stop of The Brothership Connection Tour at Sullivan Hall. This one of a kind, all immersive audio/visual event will feature one of the most creative young trios in the game today, lespecial. Coming with them will be Space Jesus, Blue Boy Productions, Mikey Likes iT, and visual guru VJ Adrenochrome (who was a huge part in helping M.B.P bring the silent disco stage to life at Camp Bisco X). The talent and passion that all of these artists bring with them wherever they go is unmatched, and we could not be more excited to help bring this tour to the Big Apple. Saturday, February 11th, 2012 Sullivan Hall - 214 Sullivan Street New York, NY 10012-1354 18+ Show @ 11:30 PM Tickets $10 / http://www.ticketweb.com/t3/sale/SaleEventDetail?dispatch=loadSelectionData&eventId=4239345&pl=cegsullivan lespecial http://lespecial.bandcamp.com/ lespecial has been making waves throughout the north east with notoriously tight live sets ridden with raucous improv and sheer variety. The trio explodes with a dexterous live energy that taps into a raw and primitive, yet futuristic sound that has been turning heads wherever they play. Fusing organic, improvisational elements used by their heros Miles Davis and Fela Kuti with electronic music influences such as Aphex Twin and Flying Lotus they have developed their powerful, constantly evolving voice to create a universal groove that is unique among their contemporaries. After an enormously successful summer in 2011, playing prime time as well as late night slots at more than 10 festivals including being voted into, and then hand picked by Soulive, to play the inaugural Royal Family Affair at Stratton Mountain with many of their musical idols. In October the band decided to use their experience to create their own festival, "lespeshtival", and push the boundaries of what a musical festival can be. The result was a 500 person crowd of all ages, featuring 22 musical acts on 2 stages, along with completely immersive and intricate decor including video projections, stilt walkers, live blacksmithing, and a massive sit-down potluck dinner. Also performing was an impressive youth ensemble, all students of "The Music Cellar", a music studio in Millerton, NY that Grusauskas opened in December 2010 at which all three members of lespecial, two of whom now have degrees in music, teach private and group lessons. You can now find the determined and dangerous trifecta on The Brothership Connection Tour along with future-bass comrades Space Jesus and Blue Boy Productions and experience for yourself what Performer Magazine calls their "schizophrenic versatility, spelunking between heavy metal bass synths, bassy club thumps and an eccentric, glitchy video game adventure". Space Jesus http://soundcloud.com/spacejesus Philly based EDM producer Jasha Tull has created an ever expanding and mind melting experience as Space Jesus. Exploring a multitude of EDM stylings and effectively branding each track with his own bass fueled, psychedelic, Hip-Hop flavor, Space Jesus delivers music that is undeniably fresh and consistently captivating. Jasha began producing music at age 16 with an initial focus on Hip-Hop, that eventually led to his fascination with the production of future-bass music. In 2011, Jasha released SPACE JESUS EP, which immediately brought him an incredible amount of followers throughout the East Coast. Quickly gaining recognition for his individuality, creativity, and high-energy live show, Space Jesus has been popping up all over the states, sharing the stage with incredible acts such as Conspirator, Two Fresh, Minnesota, The Polish Ambassador and Bluetech. Space Jesus has instantly become a mainstay of the electronic music festival scene, with appearances at The Magnetic Gathering and The Big Up in 2011. Hustlin' hard into the new year, Space Jesus shown no signs of slowing down. Keep your eyes peeled, or keep 'em shut, either way you're bound to see Space Jesus tear a wormhole right through the 2012 festival season. Blue Boy Productions http://blueboyproductions.net/ BBP is a duo specializing in intense bass heavy dance music that spans the genres of EDM, blending live instruments with samples and original productions in a way that allows for real improvisation and unrehearsed moments of creativity and spontaneity. Since their live debut in April 2009 BBP has played shows with OTT, Bluetech, Eskmo, Jazzsteppa, RAQ, Telepath, Big Gigantic, Emancipator, Marco Benevento Trio, Eliot Lipp, Psylab, Beam & Deem, Sonic Spank, Blockhead, Biodiesel, Jeff Bujak, Zebbler Encanti Experience, Afro Monk, Superfiction, The Hippocampus, Joe Nice, and many more, as well as late night sets at underground afterparties for The Disco Biscuits, STS9, and Shpongle. The future will see BBP performing shows with some of the best EDM acts at venues throughout New England and at Wonder Bar in Allston, Massachusetts where they produce Music Ecology - a weekly Tuesday night underground electronic dance party. Mikey Likes iT http://soundcloud.com/mikey-likes-it Mikey Likes iT is the musical identity of Michael Robinson, a NJ based EDM producer whose music is a blend of intricate bass-lines and atmospheric soundscapes. Mikey began his courtship with music at the age of 13 when he picked up a pair of Technics 1200's and began experimenting with happy hardcore and techno. His skills progressed quickly and soon he was playing raves and warehouse parties with some of the biggest DJ's on the east coast. After entering college, Mikey felt the urge to delve deeper into the creative side of music and began producing with Ableton. His early beats were infused with both Hip-Hop and Electronic rhythms, often blurring the line between the two. He soon discovered that bass was his weapon of choice, and his tracks started to take on more of a dubstep feel. During this time, Mikey was a member of the DJ group The Future Kids with Jasha Tull aka Space Jesus and Bart Tyrpien aka Bartlomein. The dance friendly blends and remixes which made The Future Kids a household name in the central Jersey party scene taught Mikey the methods to hype a crowd. In 2011, these three came together to form the Planet Cognac collective, often collaborating on productions and sharing the stage at shows. These days, Mikey's music can best be described as a bass-fueled deep space adventure sprinkled with hints of glitch-hop, lazerbass, breaks, drum n' bass, and dubstep. His energetic sets have left crowds in a frenzy across the Northeast, playing alongside acts such as Conspirator, Phutureprimitive, Bluetech, KJ Sawka, Wobblesauce, Damn Right, Space Jesus, and many others. One thing that's been proven: if Mikey likes it, your friends will too.

No band fits this criteria better than Papadosio. Formed in Athens, OH, the band has been creating a home at the forefront of live electronica for five years, wowing crowds from Denver and Cleveland to NYC and Atlanta, and shaking the earth at festivals and clubs alike. Papadosio's music is all about unexpected combinations. From rock and house to jazz, hip-hop, dub, and so on, every song has a unique approach to attaining originality. Long improvisational interludes and vocal harmonies project an amplified message of transcendence, unity, and universal understanding that quickly sets this group in a new category of mass appeal. Now hailing from Asheville, NC, Papadosio has released three albums: Magreenery (2007), By the Light of the Stars EP (2008), and Observations (2009). Take one listen to any of these discs, and the band's mission becomes abundantly clear: to combine eclectic musical traditions with modern electronica to stir the heart and fuel the mind. Horizon Wireless http://soundcloud.com/horizonwireless DJ/Producer Harrison Waxenberg has been making music since he was able to tie his shoes. This might have been later than most children his age, but better late than never. After playing numerous shows and festivals under this moniker for the past year, Horizon Wireless seems to only be picking up speed and momentum. With the addition of Sol Montoya (Digifront) on drums, Horizon Wireless becomes a storm of soul smashing beats, titillating harmonies, and wet melodies. This sonic tsunami can easily induce multiple crowdgasms. Bringing a towel to shows is not only recommended, but also encouraged. With custom designed sets for every single show and the uncanny ability to bump any floor they're hosting, Horizon Wireless is generating an electrical storm that would excite Benjamin Franklin himself. Check them out the first chance you get. Speakerbot http://speakerbotmusic.com/ Speakerbot is the robot-DJ alias of Aashish Bansal. While playing bass and djing with a few different bands over the years, Aash started producing innovative and creative electronic music. Thus, the Speakerbot was born. Speakerbot has since been playing local parties, bars and electronic shows all over the NJ, NY and PA area. With hopes of expanding his eclectic sound even farther into the electronic music scene, Speakerbot will blow it up in 2011. His dirty mix of house, tech house, electro, disco, nu disco and minimal beats are always sure to get the party started weather it’s at a club, festival, or dank basement party. Speakerbot is coming to a late night dance party near you. Are you ready to get robotic? pH Factor http://www.phfactormusic.com/ From the non-theoretical minds of Paul Hamilton, Joe Lane and Erik Diaz comes a new brand of Rock n Roll that few have heard before. With influences such as Phish, Yes, Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, and Mahavishnu Orchestra, pH Factor proudly brings you a fusion of styles from jazz, rock, progressive, funk, jam, and nuances of sound yet to be classified. The concept of pH Factor came into fruition from a basic idea, an idea that the anatomical perception of nature can be broken into music. Fueled to submerge our listeners into a storyline that bridges the gap of consciousness between each other and the world around us, we are enabled to harbor genuine illumination as we manifest our music. Born in Ohio raised in Colorado, pH Factor is proud to call Denver home. The eclectic music scene of Colorado has nourished the new sounds and creativity of this power trio. Through the journey to find what is now the sound of pH Factor, many combinations of instrumentation have been exhausted, yet nothing filled the void quite like the organic sound of guitar, bass, and drums. We encourage you to stay tuned for pH Factor’s first studio album “Chemical Nature” expected in the first quarter of 2012.
  11. Brothers Past - Beard O Bees We spoke to the man upstairs on this one, and he assured us that no hurricane is going to knock this show down. Brothers Past is coming for revenge on Irene, and is bringing Jesse Miller from Lotus with them to throw down his Beard O Bees dance party! Friday, January 13th, 2012 Brooklyn Bowl - 61 Wythe Ave, Brooklyn, NY 21+ Doors: 6:00 / Music: 8:00 Tickets $10 / http://www.brooklynbowl.com/event/80671/ Brothers Past http://www.brotherspast.com/ Philadelphia's Brothers Past is emerging as one of the most talked about independent acts in the nation. The band conjures a new energetic sound, merging rock anthems with electronic exploration. Brothers Past has gained a reputation as a thunderous live act with an ever-growing repertoire of songs and sounds. Recently, the New York Press called Brothers Past, "the square-jawed, bastard child of Pink Floyd with a gigantic stage show." Playing over 650 performances since 2000, the band brings their futuristic brand of improvisation to create concerts that seamlessly weave dance segments between their large and varied catalog of active songs. Consistent sell-outs of premiere venues in New York and other northeast cities, along with many near capacity shows throughout the country, attest to the band's rising popularity and momentum. Past work includes the September 2004 five-song EP, statEPolice, which Chicago's Innerview called "Delicious." December 2002's A Wonderful Day, a concept album about insomnia and paranoia was deemed "Excellent, eccentric, engrossing" by the Philadelphia Inquirer. The Philadelphia Daily News wrote, "This group jumps out as something special on its futuristic concept album." In December 2001, the band conceived Elements, an experimental studio album mixing live recordings with computer sequences to produce an altogether new sonic tapestry. Richard Gehr of the Village Voice exclaimed, "Elements has style. It's one of the first great post-Phish trance-fusion albums and sounds like Pink Floyd jamming with Sasha and Digweed in Brian Eno's bedroom." Brothers Past is Tom Hamilton (vocals, guitar, laptop), Tom McKee (keyboards, vocals), Clay Parnell (bass, vocals) and Rick Lowenberg (drums). Beard O Bees http://soundcloud.com/beardobees Beard o Bees is Jesse Miller from the band Lotus performing solo.
