  1. hello. 2 questions. ive got this problem of overloading my tracks with too many inserts and i want to process them using those inserts, so that it doesnt eat up any computing power. is there a way i can save all my insert settings and process them without having to save each one individually? meaning is there a way i can just have cubase/nuendo "process" my tracks with my insert plugins? and 2nd question. is there any way i can record my VST sequences to audio? because when they are still VST tracks they eat up way too much processing power. is there any way to record audio from VST tracks? thanks!!
  2. hello, i was wondering if its possible to convert VST instrument tracks into actual wave files. seems to me like they stay vst tracks until the mixdown. this is kind of annoying when i have halion playing a long sample, and i cant start it in the middle of the sample because the sample is triggered at the beggining. is there anyway to convert vst tracks into actual wav files without having to export the mixdown with that track soloed just to extract it and then importing the wav?? thanks!
  3. well at least im not the only one with this problem ....nemo, do you know i can use non-emulated ports?? every single one of my midi in/out ports is emulated......also, i have a sound blaster audigy 2 sound card with an interface, a midisport 2x2 and an m-audio radium49 midi controller.....that radium has a midi out on it, so i dont plug anything into the joystick port.
  4. hello, i have a problem, perhaps this has happened to someone else too. ive been working on a track in nuendo and cubase (its the same problem for both) using a korg ms2000 and a novation nova. i have them both hooked up to my comp via an interface. i write a bassline in nuendo and it plays through. eventually it gets to the point where one of the notes becomes "stuck" and even when i press stop, the nova is still holding that note and doesnt let go until i turn the nova off. at first i thought it was a nova problem, but when i plugged in the korg, it does the same thing. do you guys know whats happening? it would be great to get some feedback.
  5. i've got my input channel volume in cubase cranked up, and i got all my input and recording volumes in windows cranked up......and i got my yamaha instrument volume cranked up......no use. do you think it wil help if i run the yamaha into an amp before running it to my sound card?? i mean, theoretically it should be loud enough by itself, but its still quiet. have you ever plugged an instrument into an amp before plugging it into your pc??
  6. thanks alot to all of you, you have all been a great help. i figured the VSTi out, but now i have another problem (its too late for me now.....yall be hearing from me often, as i am not too smart, and have gotten turned onto the evil world of sequencers and synths) ....so i buy me a yamaha sequencer the other day and a novation nova. i plug em into cubase and get a sequence goin.....everythin is fine and dandy. i remember you guys said that i cant apply eq and plugins to real instruments, so i tried converting it to audio. it converts fine, but whats really weird is that the sounds have gotten a lot quieter than they were when they were being through cubases midi sequencer. have yall experienced something like this before?? (ps, all my record levels are way up)
  7. but I can only apply a handful of MIDI effects like arpache, I cant for instance apply chorus, reverb, delay. and even if I could, i still cant remember how i converted midi track to audio
  8. hey guys. so i try to make a track. ive been using the vst instruments that came with cubase and a couple others. so when i input notes in they are still midi tracks. how do i convert them to audio?? because i cant use efects or EQ on midi tracks. ive done this before, but i forgot how i did it. and i didnt have to export the midi track as a mixdown wav and import it. i know theres another way to convert midi track to audio track more accurately and faster. please help me.
