Putting aside that genre-bitching/analysing is lame, it can also be quit fun and interesting.

So please excuse me as I would really appreciate Your input on this dwelling topic.

Main topic Question: Psycore. What is it, to you? And, how so?

For me. "PsycOre" came to mind and speech in 2004- or late 3. The time I encountered Russian Psytrance -concrete dark as a basement and hard as steel yet beautifully strong&soft and pumping organic! and for me, really Tribal and Psychedelic, and often based in space like astral- I was in love, and not much aware of where they, say Zolod / Terminator was inspired from (we're all inspired to some sense right). For me then, this "psycore" (lack of melody, with empathy on the trance and effects) was music from RU's/Soviet's uniqueness, I thought. And now thinking back on WWs and the Berlin wall, it makes traveller sense (bring home treasure from abroad), that they got "it" from the Berlin Techno vibration. it, meaning the Tech. The Organic Noise, the Psycore *Reading this I realize my Tech- knowledge/history of evolution/the red thread might not go so deep at all so your filling words would be much appreciated.

The Year is 2000. Planet B.E.N. and One of the X-Dream guys releases an full album. Organic Noise is the group name.

This is the track I stumbled apun. Pleae be my guest and listen to it from start. Its really nice.

(just heard/found it today actually!)

^ is Very similar to one of my absolute fav. Terminator tracks,

*just deep respect to the Paranoic Sensationists <33 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_hCAngDS54#t=511.237604

The Russians them self, when asked. Like CPC. Simply call their music, Darkpsy.

For me, this neuro pumping Psychedelic Organic Noise, has always been Psycore. Psychedelic Core. I heard -and agreed- that melodies are hard to do and who wanna make smelly cheese anyway? Also, I personally think by listening to what is today reffered to as "psycore" should by all respect and honour of driving it up, be renamed smth like "horrordelic" #) Although being a record label (hey, Zenon, zenonesque - i mean zenon didn't invent ,,progressive minimal psychedelic" - Tatsu Recordings did more so of the founding work of creating, Zenonesque in my knowledge, also this, is connected well to the Berin Techno vibe I think), they have for me most defo coined the term for music a genre, Horrordelic. *i'm speaking of Horrordelic Records, a Stavanger label focusing on DarkPsy HiTech Psycore stuff... Aka. Horrordelic trance

The influence pump of Berlin Techno goes deep -

I'm pretty sure the ending of that Organic Noise track posted above is well present in this awesome VA

Where all the red thread ends, or that's to say, begins. i don't claim to know, but it is fun stepping over it and taking notice of the history of its trail. In this case the mysterious psycore trail, somewhere being entangled with the HiTech gabba thread ... Again, do please fill in your knowledge to my lack.

I have owned this album https://www.discogs.com/artist/27790-Adrenalin-Drumfor many years, and today. I hear a track on the mentioned Organic Noise (2000) album that sounds like it ",

Psycore has (im actually sorry to say, caus i liked that term name, psycore) firmly places as a bro' of HiTech. Aka. being almost solely associated to fast BPM.

HiTech seems to me like it arrived from the Dutch Gabba-scene (Terrordome, alcho, GHB, speed coke you name it they drop it - So Fast so Hard~Trance DUNKDUNK) that was brought home by Russians, and became this high BPM music we today Osomlly call HiTech (right? Please correct me with your knowledge). This being very much then like the Berlin Techno scene being an inspiration to the boyz in da Moscow hoodz, like Parasense, Zolod, In'R'Voice, CPC, Fungus Funk .. If I dare attempt at guess by my ears and eyes.

PsyCore, its in its name. Psychedelic Core. Surly. Has nothing specific to do with high BPM. Right ?

Speedcore, , Hardcore, Trashcore ... People who claim that psycore is fast because of the mentioned core's - I will argue do not understand the (irony if you'd like of) psy- before core. Psycrowdelica Fesival (rip) seemed to be Too much of that, ,,core ..... Psy, psychedelic, psychoses, psychic, psychology .... psyllium. Granted, I have not dropped acid on a Psycore/HiTech event in a long time ... Maybe Im the one who got the core wrong

PS. for me Darkpsy is lesss of the Neuro- and more of the "awkward" rolling and trolling.

PS2. For me it does not really matter the sticker label put on the yaar, as long as in the length of the universe, it is Psytrance.

PS3. If you read all of it without breaking your brain. Congratulations, here is a stråhatt: http://static.miinto.no/photos/products/beaded-jade-white-strahatt-3519186-311x467.jpg (no it's not specifically a Forest hat though you might say a hat is a hat! I think we can all agree many hat's serve their specific design when worn on it's right element. Some hats just seem/look fancy/usefull but don't really do much ,,good" when confronted with its appernetly right element. Some hats, and caps, non the style or design, are just there to cover your head and give shade from the sun. Nothing magical really. Can be quit nice though.)
